I had the best Chicken Pesto on ciabatta sandwich, a fresh crispy salad and great service. I'm glad I went into this little quite restaurant and plan to go back and try their pizza. Cathy

Decent prices. The server was super helpful. Took a hot minute to get your food especially for being the only people inside but you could tell it was fresh. A bit to much cheese in the calzone for me but it was good adding mushrooms.

I pick up 2-3 times a month. Pizza is great, good dough, all the toppings you are looking for. I love the Italian and Greek salads, always all fresh ingredients and really delicious cheese cubes on top. The spaghetti and meatballs are great too in case someone isn't in the mood for pizza. They have seating inside and out but I always just pick up and eat at home.

My friend orders pizza from here often; so, when I wanted pizza, he suggested I try it. I called 15 minutes before close and asked if they had any cheese slices left, she said yes and that they were $4 each. I asked how much a small cheese was and she said $12. I said I suspect the cheese slices are large, but is there more pizza in a small, and she said yes. So , i I ordered the small cheese, but then she offered the lunch special- which I think is a medium cheese for $11. She is so sweet! The marinara sauce has a great flavor to it and the dough is cooked perfectly. The pizza is not like a traditional Neapolitan style Margherita, but it tastes great and is at a good price point! If you're in the mood for no nonsense pizza, and great customer service, come here! Also parking is free in the street in front, and there is also parking lot behind.

I was for a hoping for a delectable experience, however I was let down. The cheese inside the mozzarella sticks was very rubbery. The breading on the wings was soggy and frankly too salty. The pizza was also salty, floppy and quite honestly the flavors didn't mesh.

I love takeout for Fancy a Friday meal. Martha is lovely. My order is always spot on.

Wonderful neighborhood spot. Disclaimer came here for a panini sandwich and garlic bread so didn't actually try the pizza. I'm not a bread person but the bread was delicious on both of those, came with a side salad, and super affordable full meal which is rare to find now a days. Customer service was kind and thorough, also appreciate how they support local people in need. Would love to come back and try the pizza.

Finally found my favorite pizza place in the Culver/MDR/Venice area. Seems to be family owned and customer service is top tier. Now on to the food, just do it give them a try and see for yourself how you'll crave their quality of pizza soon after. Highly recommended, will return!

I don't normally write reviews unless it worth mentioning. I have seen plank 47 over a number of years, but tonight craving a pizza, sandwich or ramen ..decided pizza. I was pleasantly surprised. Ordered their small supreme ...normally I like sausage crumbles but I really enjoyed the pizza. Felt quality was on point. I am now curious about the sandwiches. Will return.

Always get their calzones. They are soo good. My bf likes the Al Pastor pizza. And I'm not the biggest fan of marinara sauce but theirs is really good! The service is always good here too.

I love pizza. And having grown up near Boston and gone to school in New York, I have fairly high standards. So when Plank47 opened up down the street from us, I had high hopes, but pretty low expectations. Fortunately, Plank47 validated my hopes and blew away my expectations. The pizzas are always great, the chicken wings are amazing and the salads are always fresh and flavorful. But the excellent food is only part of the Plank47 experience. It seems to be a true family affair and everyone that works there are always friendly and welcoming and make me feel like a valued customer. And I am just shallow enough for that to matter. Given the economy and the state of the world, it is more important than ever to support small businesses. And when they are as good as Plank47, it's easy to do.

Not really a place that gives the impression they want you to stick around and eat in-store. Loud television, no place settings or condiments, not even a napkin-dispenser. People were courteous if not exactly welcoming and that's not nothing. There was a sink behind the counter where a customer could wash their hands but no restroom to speak of which (given the large iced tea I'd just drank) led to an increasingly uncomfortable experience. Had a mushroom pizza and a sandwich with fries. It's telling that the fries seemed to be the highlight of the meal. Pretty average food though the crust on the pizza was decent. More of a to-go place.

The wings were delicious and so crispy just how I prefer them. The pizza was tasty as well, I really liked their dough. Even after reheating left overs the crust was as if I just had picked it up! It didn't get hard like other pizzas I've had. We sat down at the restaurant and was greeted by a very nice lady I can't remember her name. Overall pleasant experience with good food and good vibes! :)

As others in my group purchased pizzas, I was interested in the salads and advertised lunch specials which are now my go to when I'm in the area. The specials are not posted online. However, you can call for the specials and place a phone order. The sandwich lunch special comes with either an Italian Sub or a Pesto Chicken Sandwich, a nice sized side salad, and a canned drink for $14. The sandwich is also a nice size and too much for me to finish in one sitting. I recently ordered the Fiesta Salad for $12. The salad is plenty for 2 people and I loved the toppings! So fresh and and they were not skimpy with the toppings. Great customer service! I reccomend calling for specials before ordering.

Would give a 4.5 if available since I really enjoyed my buffalo chicken pizza and there wasn't much I'd change about it! The buffalo chicken was spicy, crunch and hot and the amount of cheese and ranch was balanced for the crust thickness. Crust was just the right crunchy-soft balance and I had to stop myself from finishing off the last slice! The dough/crust isn't on par with the best I've ever had but that's the only knock - I'll be back to try more pizzas from this spot in my neighborhood!

Hi. I wish I could send this post as an email to the owner of Plank 47, but since I can't find a way to contact the owner, I'm posting here. And I'm rating the restaurant one star to I get the attention of the owner. If I do get the owner's attention, I will add more stars. So here's my review: I just went to Plank 47 for the first time. I ordered the margherita pizza, which is my favorite type of pizza. It was delicious and the crust was perfect. However the cook used the wrong type of mozzarella. According to Plank 47's own menu, the margherita should be made with: fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil. But my pizza was not made with fresh mozzarella. It was made with normal mozzarella. So, still delicious, but not what I wanted. I did not say anything to the two women working there. I've had this same issue with Mario's Pizza, which is also nearby. But, in general, I've been looking for a place that makes it right, and apparently Plank 47 isn't one of them, unless someone at the restaurant reads this review and starts making their margherita pizza with the right type of mozzarella.

This place is alright for when you're starving and can't make a decision on what to eat. It's fast, cheap (if you don't do use the delivery apps), and it tastes good. If you're expecting Michelin star quality food, this is not the place. Plank 47 serves homemade comfort Italian food along with some American favorites. And please forget about your diet when you're ordering from here. Order from here on your cheat days. If I was a first timer here, I would recommend getting the Chicken Pesto Sandwich with fries, Mom's Spaghetti, a Mediterranean Salad, Chicken wings, and a cheesecake. You won't regret it. Their pizzas are good but you would have to eat it right away when it's still warm. If you don't, the crust becomes like cardboard unless you reheat it in the toaster oven and make the crust crispy (which I always do.) Same goes with the Calzones. The Fettuccini Alfredo is one of my favorites. I suggest ordering an extra side of Fettuccini Alfredo Sauce because sometimes the pasta gets too dry. Above all else, Plank 47 serves up pure comfort food and it's a great place to order from when you want food that is quick and delicious.

Medium-thick crust as is typical for a lot of American pizzas, but the meat lovers pizza was decidedly loaded with good quality toppings and sufficient cheese. Piping hot from the oven is obviously the best way to eat it. COVID-19 means interior seating is a bit limited (a window bar, basically) and outdoor seating is almost non-existent (4 seats and two tiny tables on the sidewalk) as it's a busy street. One of the better local pizzas in the neighborhood.

Random pickup for pizza made for a good play. Their buffalo chicken pizza was hands down one of the best BC pizzas I've ever had! Cooked to perfection and all the ingredients worked perfect together. Add some honey to it for a cooldown. Way to go team.

Great neighborhood pizza joint for those in Mar Vista/Playa Vista area. Meatballs are a very good option on top of the pizza selections.

I was driving for postmates and had a order here. There was a 7m wait for the order and I decided to sit inside the restaurant instead of my car. One of the gals in the back popped out and asked if I'd like a slice of cheese while I wait. Starving (& the aroma of the place definitely didnt help my hunger) I said yes ecstatically. I thought it was really sweet to offer me a slice for while I wait (which I didnt mind). The crust is crispy and it was a nice slice of pizza. :)

My wife and I were on a walk in the neighborhood and spotted Plank 47. A few days later we were working late and had a big craving for some pizza. I love pizza, looking for solid local spots has been a passive interest of mine and I really love supporting the small business pizza spots, that remind me of the ones I loved growing up. TLDR- Loved this local spot and my new favorite go to Pizza spot in the area. Top 3 in the area with Robertas still holding my number 1. What I ordered: Family Special comes with the following Pizzas: Two Medium Pizzas (1) Pepperoni and Sausage and (2) Olives and Sausage. The Pizzas were a elevated football weekend styled pizza with a generous about of quality, toppings a perfect bake and a soft dough with a nice crust. My fam and I really enjoyed the pizzas and have declared it our new go to local spot. The family special also game with garlic bread and spaghetti and a small green salad. The other items were good but a bit standard issue the garlic bread was a nice toasted french roll cut to a appropriate amount for the Spaghetti serving. Looked and tasted great, will be sharing with all my neighbors and friends in the area.

I can't speak to the pizza, but I ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich and a side of fries to go last night. I am a snobbish New York/New Jersey critic when it comes to anything remotely "Italian," but I found this sandwich really scratched the itch. The chicken itself was nicely breaded and juicy; the sauce was good, and the bread (always my major complaint about most SoCal pizza joints) was actually decent and had some substance to it. The fries were exactly the way I like them: thin, crispy, and dusted with just enough minced garlic and parsley so that the garlic did not overwhelm the fries. Since I live two minutes from this place, I will definitely be making a return trip.

I ordered for the first time from this place for a small pizza party. Everyone was complimenting on how great the pizza was! Additionally, a woman at the counter, whose name I didn't ask, was very sweet and helpful. I ordered pick up an hour ahead, and my order was ready, fresh and hot, on time. Very pleased, and will order from them again.

I stopped in for a slice to give it a try. I got a slice of cheese & a slice of pepperoni. The slices were big, but Very bland taste and chewy dough. Service was great pizza was not.

I ordered Hawaiian and peperoni pizzas as well as a pasta for home delivery. The service was impeccable and the food was very good. They offer a great deal as well. $35 for 2 pizzas, a pasta, 1 coke and a salad. Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back inside the restaurant.

I was excited to try Plank 47 as they have some good reviews but unfortunately I was let down. I ordered a cheese pizza and a cheese calzone. The pizza crust has no crisp and reminded me of a better version of Dominos. The sauce and cheese were decent but they lost me on the crust. The Calzone was horrible. The crust was more like a pastry crust and the filling lacked Ricotta cheese. Basically it was Mozzarella cheese and sauce. I know businesses are currently struggling and I'm trying to support them, but I have to be honest. The women who waited on me was very nice, so the service was great! I wish them the best!

I had the pizza and it's was good staff was friendly as well. The wait is long if you order at the restaurant so if that's and issue order ahead.

This place is amazing! Tasty food, friendly staff and clean environment. It has become my go to place for pizza in Culver City. I brought my wife and daughter so they can try it. We ordered a shrimp Alfredo, a hamburger and a salad and we loved every bite. We will definitely be coming here again!

The shrimp pizza has been a favorite of mine and family's for a couple of years now, I had been telling my boyfriend of this amazing shrimp pizza in LA. The shrimp is always perfectly cooked on the pizza, never rubbery or mushy, and flavors of truly marry this pizza together. I usually get mine delivered, but today I had the delight of picking up an order and let me tell you the smell of herbs and roasted garlic that filled the room was unlike anything else. Plank 47 is next level on pizza.

We order from here 2 - 3 times a month and their never miss! The Buffalo Chicken pizza and Wings are always my go to from Plank 47. The wing sauce is really good 5/5

We ordered a large cheese pizza here and apparently it was happy hour because it was only $9.99!! It wasn't the BEST pizza I've ever had, but it was darn good and unbeatable for the price.

So I order a deluxe extra pepperoni bell pepper extra olives And I get a bland pizza that it doesn't look like a deluxe or have extra toppings I called them up and they start questions in how should a deluxe pizza look I had to drive over to show the mediocre pizza they deliver and on top of that overcharge for it I will never order from them ever again I give this place the opportunity but not only they don't how to make a pizza they don't have any skills on customer service

Avoid this place at all cost, ate pizza and wings. The next day Iv never been sicker the wings tastes bad when I ate them, thank god I only ate one and a half. Poor food quality and obviously cleanliness is a issue. FOOD POISONING!!!

Love this place. Pizza is legit and no bullshit. Never once regretted our order. Which for pizza is rare these days. Any business for that matter is hit or miss these days. But Plank. They're cool

The food here is good. The response to messing up a order not great. I like the pasta here, especially the spaghetti with meatball. I ordered a family deal using Grubhub... I ordered a pizza with sausage and spinach and got sausage. I ordered salad with caesar dressing and got a balsamic dressing. When I called in concerned they gave me the wrong ordered, we quickly realized they made a mistake. They simply said I'm sorry and I was stuck with a sub optimal order. No offer for a future discount or compensation. Makes me less likely to go here with that type of service.

Great neighborhood pizza joint! Very friendly staff. The pizza is exactly what you want, nothing fancy. I would absolutely recommend this place to others and will be back again soon!

Oh no this 5. Not too greasy of pizza, nice flaky crust. I got cheese (no red meat). I didn't think I saw chicken on there but it was fine. They are following the social distance rules to a TEE. And I really appreciate that. The Hispanic lady hat took my order was very nice and funny. And she suggest something for me to save money on my order, so my two slices, soda, and water came out to under $10. Perfectttttttt. It's near the beach and it might be the best in comparison to other pizza parlors around (Though I haven't tried any others), I might sashay my way back over there one day. But different go there.

After another local pizza spot wouldn't answer my calls, I decided to come to Plank 47. I had driven past this place god knows how many times. Walked in and ordered a Margherita Pizza and a greek salad. I like that they put Roma tomatoes on the pizza. I had my food in about 15 minutes. Everything tasted how it should and service was friendly. They have some combo deals I didn't see before I ordered, but I felt what I got was reasonably priced considering the size. They also had a basket of oranges on the counter that I believe were free to take. Nice little neighborhood pizza spot. Will be back.

Wanted to try a new pizza place and this came up on our search while driving. Got the 9.99 deal for a large and added an extra topping. Mushroom pepperoni did NOT disappoint. Hit the spot. Will definitely be back.

Negative stars for the pizza cook. I don't get how a anyone with eyes can look at a burnt-to-all-heck pizza and not bother to make a new one. Like did s/he think I wouldn't notice? That maybe I wouldn't complain? That I like eating ashes topped with cheese? I worked in a pizza joint in high school and I knew better as a 16yo. Not only that, but it takes like two minutes tops to make a new pizza. Instead, they have to make a new one AND redeliver it while I wait here all angry. Update: second pizza showed up burned too! When I called for a replacement, I specifically asked that they make sure it was not at all black, but apparently that's too complicated. The replacement pizza was only partially burned, and the parts that weren't burned were pretty good. 2+ hours later I can say that 40% of my two pizzas was edible. Good job guys!

Ordered delivery on Game of Thrones and Claws day because that's what ya do when you don't wanna leave the house! I ordered zucchini sticks, Caesar salad and cheese pizza. The good Delivery came quickly They added two forks and napkins in the bag. Salad was fresh Pizza wasn't burnt and it was better than Pizza Don't or Dominos. The Bad Zucchini sticks had little flavor and the marinara sauce that accompanied it was BLAND. It also didn't help that they packed the sauces with the sticks so that by the time they reached me the flimsy plastic containers had melted. They do not give you enough dressing for the salad. I ordered extra at 50 cents a pop and they are measly portions. Still wasn't enough. Pizza was just okay. Very chewy and the cheese was thick and gummy. Maybe LA can't bring it in the pizza department. It also didn't help that we were watching Guy Fieri on the Food Network and he was visiting pizza places in Denver and Chicago. Like...WOW. Those people care about what they put out of their kitchen and home make a lot of their things. They also use fresh ingredients. It seems like now a days in Los Angeles, everybody wants a pizza shop because it's an easy food to make and ya don't need a Cordon Bleu diploma to do it. But, quality isn't there. It just becomes another generic pie made from cans with little to no thought and pre made items. Sigh...I'm getting disillusioned. I guess I gotta trek all the way to Larchmont Village for tasty pizza. Maybe I watch too many cooking and food shows! Maybe I'm just bad and bougie!

Pizza is delicious! Located right next door to Sakura on Centinela it's a good alternative if you don't want to wait in line for Sushi. I have ordered the veggie pizza, the Margarita and a sausage and mushroom at different times. All were excellent. They need to update the inside though. It could be a cute Italian Bistro if they added checkered table cloths and served beer and wine (you can purchase at liquor store on the corner). I live close by and am glad I do! Check it out. Update: just ordered a sausage/mushroom and it was so good!
