My husband and I stopped here on the back to the border because this place came up as vegan friendly on my search. We called ahead and were told it was ok to bring our 2 dogs and to double check they had vegan options. Everything checked out when we got there and our dogs had a blast!
The restaurant was a little empty, but it was a Tuesday afternoon at 2pm, so makes sense. We had the whole place to ourselves! And the views are gorgeous, we dined on the outside patio
Food- we were really happy with the vegan options, even some of the vegetarian dishes can be made vegan because they have vegan butter and vegan cheese! I had the “Sope Pimiento Tatemado, Frijol, Queso, Mancha Manteles”
(In English: Corn Sope, Grilled Peppers, Beans, Cheese, Mancha Manteles Sauce). I’ve never had it before, but it was really interesting, new flavor profile for me. I also ordered the tortilla soup (Veganized), and small salad—- both delish. My husband had the risotto and loved it. I tasted something fishy in the risotto, but I am very sensitive to the taste since I’ve never eaten fish. My husband couldn’t taste anything fishy though. They also gave us these cute complimentary bread rolls with vegan butter, they were so good I ordered some to go.
We really liked this place, we were thinking of coming back and hosting a party here with friends!
