On 18 December, our family visited Planter's Shed for an à la carte dinner. All four of us ordered different dishes. Two dishes arrived, and my daughter and mother-in-law started eating. However, after a long wait, the other two dishes had not been served. I approached a young waitress to check on our order, and she went to investigate but never returned with an update. Assuming it was an oversight, I asked another young waitress (who also seemed to be a student) to check on our food. She too didn't return. This left me puzzled and feeling ignored.
When the second waitress passed by our table, I caught her and inquired about our dishes. She mentioned that she had asked about it and "they" were checking. I felt frustrated that she hadn't informed us earlier, leaving us in the dark. Determined to get an answer, I told her we had been waiting for over 20 minutes and wanted to know the status of our food. She quickly called a senior staff member named Des for help.
Des promptly apologized and checked on our order. Within five minutes, our food was served. Des apologized profusely for the delay, and we appreciated his friendly and efficient service.
We want to commend Des for making things right and ensuring we were satisfied. Overall, we give Planter's Shed four stars due to the food delay and the need for better training for the young waitresses. However, we give Des five stars for his excellent customer service!
