The bar shuts too early and promptly. You shouldn't have to shuffle off to your room at ten, when you have just finished your evening meal. The bar actually starts winding down at 9pm which is not what one would expect when staying in a hotel.

Lovely staff and served amazing food! Great drinks. But.... They Sat us out the back in the extended dining area and we felt a bit out of it being cold in there with no music on and very echoey-just no atmosphere to it. If it was carpeted, heated and some nice background music on then this place would be amazing and probably earn 5stars all day long.but until then..

Stayed here for a few nights over New year with my partner and couldn't fault our stay at all, the room and hotel was lovely, food was delicious and well priced. Sian (sorry I think that's wrong spelling) who served our breakfast every morning is amazing and a credit to the hotel. She went above and beyond for us, even made sure I had gluten free sausages from the butchers and remembered our drinks. Such a lovely lady, I hope she gets the recognition she deserves as it made our stay really special, thank you Sian 🫶🏻

Lovely weekend stay! Dog friendly - they charged an extra £10 per dog per night which seems reasonable and the dog can stay in the room with you. Rooms are decorated nicely, modern and clean and comfortable. Food is really lovely at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was generous and filling with plenty of choice. Staff were all friendly. Great place would recommend.

Worst steak of my life, I would say it was just the fatty bit of meat they served me which was meant to be a steak. But I then bit into a raw undercooked chunky chip. How can they even send out undercooked chips I don’t know.

Really great restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was served quickly and it tasted great. The staff communicated in both Welsh and English. Lots of families with kids in our section but there were other areas for adult groups.

Unfortunately the service was really poor, came for tea around 530 with my partner for her birthday, ordered a starter to share and then waited nearly a hour for our main, no apologies for the wait. During and after we finished we was never asked if everything was ok or needed more drink. We didn’t fancy seeing how long dessert would take so paid up and left. Whilst paying still no question about how everything was. No complaints about the food , the pork belly was really good. Unfortunately the whole service or lack of let the whole night down.

My wife and I have just a lovely meal here. Great staff, friendly and efficient but above all sensational food. Good choice, really well presented and so so tasty... Highly recommended

Yelp
Big place, good ambiance. Service is friendly but a bit slow. Tomato soup was just okay. Asparagus in asparagus appetizer was light green and a bit bland. Sea bass and pea risotto were both good. Decent place to get fed but not exceptional.

Yelp
plas yn dre is appauling, i was on my way back from holiday with my my disabled partner and our two children when we were looking for somewhere to have some food, we saw this place and thought it looked welcoming and i went in first with our 5 year old son and went to use the toilets befour we sat down to eat, half way up the stairs where toilet signs were an older woman came out of the bar area fag in hand shouting excuse me what are you doing straight away i said we are just about to to eat here, im just taking him to the toilet first she then shouting agressively this is'nt a public toilet, your so rude i was taken back at how rude she was, then once again i tried to say we are about to get a table here just using the loo first, she did't even let me finish speaking before again saying i was rude, she was so outragous to us at this point my partner was in the doorway looking confused she then turned and practically pushed him out the door with our 3 year old daughter, i walked down the stairs with our son towards the door with her giving me abuse infront of my confussed family then pushed the door behind us as if i had done something wrong, this made me so cross we only wanted to use the toilet before we sat down and i would never expect my disalbed partner and children to be treated like this, i am a nurse and am not rude, i spend my time saving lives.
