Platanos Taverna

This was a delicious experience that I enjoyed thoroughly. The food is curated to be some of the most delicious Greek food I have ever had. Amazing high quality tzatziki, fresh vegetables and the grilled lamb was good. Everything was amazing, but one little thing that did happen was the card machine broke, and our waiter asked if we were okay to pay with cash, and we agreed. But then it took 20 minutes to get us drinks. I completely understand that, this was an issue that they had no control over, and due to the increase in customers due to summer season, maybe the restaurant was understaffed as they may have been resolving the issue. In the end they did provide us with complimentary dessert, and the machine was working again! All in all, amazing restraint, good service, and classic Greek architecture all around you. I was in awe. Amazing, amazing place.

What an exceptional restaurant! Lovely to sit under the vines and be served by such professionals. The beef skewer I ordered was perfectly cooked and my wife's octopus was bang on. We have already recommended this restaurant to two other couples. Best one we found in Athens.

We arrived in Athens and went for a stroll. We found this restaurant off the beaten path in Plaka (is that possible?). It is located on a small quiet square and has more seating outdoors under cover than inside. It is a great setting. Good food, good service and good value. Highly recommended!

I have been at Taverna Platanos for a solo dinner and I found myself at home. The dishes were delicious and well presented, the service friendly and prices honest. I would suggest this restaurant to everyone visiting Poros!

Outstanding quality regards to the food. The Beef stew and lamb chops was delicious and will you not be disappointed. Don't miss it.....

Really nice Greek restaurant near Acropolis. It’s in sorta secluded and calm area. Outside space is like a little square/yard which brings out very classy, film scenery vibes. I believe it actually served as a movie scene location for some film. Very delicious food, quite lovely service and super super cat friendly. They even had their own restaurant stray cat with a sign and everything :) I’d totally recommend.
