j-hope lead us to discovering & eating at this place and we were not disappointed. Such a wonderful ambience. The staff are very helpful, even when they realized we came because of j-hope’s influence. Lia was our server and she was really nice and attentive. The service was great, the food was so good. Personal fave is the lumpia bebek! Nasi Goreng Rendang is a good choice too~

We had an unforgettable evening at Plataran Menteng, where every detail—from the thoughtfully curated dishes (We ordered the beef and pomelo salad, beef rawon, chicken satay and the grilled squid which tasted very good.) to the elegant colonial ambience—was executed with excellence. The setting itself is stunning, with beautifully preserved interiors and tastefully adorned dining spaces that tell a story of timeless charm. The serving staff were warm, attentive, and proactive throughout our visit, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring every aspect of our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. We ordered the beef and pomelo salad, beef rawon, chicken satay and the grilled squid which tasted very good. A heartfelt thank you to Kahman for his gracious hospitality—his passion truly shone through as he shared the rich history of the restaurant and gave us a tour of the various floors, each uniquely decorated and steeped in character. It was a privilege to explore the space through his storytelling. We’re also incredibly grateful for the thoughtful gesture of arranging a car to take us back to our hotel. That extra mile made the entire evening feel even more special. A truly memorable experience—we look forward to returning on our next visit to Jakarta.

I visited Plataran Menteng because J-Hope from BTS dined here during his visit to Jakarta for his world tour concert — and of course, I had to experience it for myself! The place is stunning — high ceilings adorned with chandeliers, elegant interiors, and thoughtfully chosen furniture that adds a touch of timeless charm. It’s the kind of place that feels both grand and warm at the same time. We were warmly welcomed by Rizki, who guided us through the menu. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, especially in explaining the dishes J-Hope ordered (which, let’s be honest, was the main reason we came!). His genuine smile never left his face, and it made us feel so welcomed — it’s comforting to think our idol was treated with the same warmth and hospitality. Every dish we ordered was perfect — beautifully presented, delicious, and absolutely satisfying. The flavors and the plating made the whole experience even more memorable. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable considering the upscale location in Menteng and the beauty of the building and ambiance. Truly a wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to visit again!

J-Hope brought us here, surprisingly, the food was amazing and the service was top-notch! Definitely 10 out of 10. The staff were super helpful, and Ms. Zuko and her team were so friendly. They even let us take some photos in J-Hope’s table….luv Plataran Menteng

Trying j-hope’s menu: nasi goreng rendang & lumpia bebek with Plataran punch. All is delightful and nice. The service is top notch, the place is beautiful.

The fried tofu in salted egg was on point. Amazing service and comfortable environment as well. But the recommended fried chicken was… served a little cold and putting the chicken under the pickled cabbages does not make it as classy as it looks. Quite disappointing.

Had an amazing meal at this fine dining spot in Jakarta. The food was incredible, and the staff were super friendly and professional. Easily one of the best dining experiences I had during my trip.

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. From the team that started with the Plataran Dharmawangsa, Plataran Menteng takes fine dining in a heritage setting to another level. The food was spectacular, the drinks/cocktails menu excellent, service abundant, attentive and professional and the setting - out of this world. For anyone who wants a change from eating in mall or hotel restaurants and is looking for dining in a beautiful setting with a stunning interior throughout the 4 storey heritage house with restaurant space, private rooms, lounges, alcoves, balconies, cigar rooms, vertical gardens and roof terraces, (open from 7pm); then this is for you. This by far my favourite place in Jakarta.
