Important Note: If you are booking a Junior Deluxe Suite as a couple, it is strongly recommended to contact the hotel in advance and specifically request a king bed. Otherwise, they tend to default to two double beds unless this is clearly communicated prior to check-in. Food: The buffet offerings are average in quality and often not served hot. However, the a la carte restaurants are a highlight, with good food and a much better dining experience overall. Their room service foods are pretty good too. Rooms & Service: The rooms are comfortable, drinks are decent (except that the drinks are not measured using jiggers so the taste differs all time). The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the resort offers enjoyable activities throughout the day. Beach: The beach directly at this resort is disappointing due to a significant amount of seaweed. To enjoy a better beach experience, you need to walk over to the Grand Sunset side. Overall: A decent resort with good service, rooms, and restaurants, but with room for improvement in buffet quality, cocktail jiggers for drinks and beach conditions.

Went here on our honeymoon for 7 days and the clear standout was the excellent staff. The service was top tier and made the overall experience. Pros: it was always easy to get a drink and access the pools. Rooms were always cleaned daily. Cons: the hotel is old. Their is wear and tear all throughout and it seems like the whole place needs a big refurbishment. I often felt like I was being pitched and up sold. As well as the currency exchange is really poor and the set taxi prices to main attractions were atrocious. It was a very expensive hotel if getting anything outside of the all inclusive price. Mixed: the food was very hit or miss which is not out of the norm for all inclusives or buffets in general. The non buffet restaurants were delicious. However the buffet food often tasted cold or stale if you were there more then 20 minutes after than dining time opened.

We have just returned. Some of the team were excellent Pierro sales of Coco Bongo tickets and generally funny snd friendly round our pool. Luna and Marr from the entertainment team were amazing and actually made the holiday night and day. Restaurant teams were a big hit and miss. Beach bar great food and friendly service. Watch out for the little furry animals as we’re a little vicious when it came to wanting your lunch. The sushi restaurant stood out the most for us. Great food and live cooking. The hotel was clean. Take trousers. They have a rule of long trousers for men. Seems a bit silly in such heat and also women can wear shorts. Also some of the waiters specifically in the steak restaurant didn’t want to take our booking unless we paid extra for wine. We did complain and it was sorted by the manager but still a little out of order. Over all a great holiday made by the pool and entertainment team.

The hotel is generally clean, but in a clear state of disrepair, with deferred maintenance evident throughout the property. Issues range from rusted-through bases on metal fixtures, broken doors on garbage enclosures, and cracked concrete walkways, to poolside furniture that appeared not to have been cleaned for months. Spilled drinks had clearly been left to accumulate. My partner and I passed the time by playing what we jokingly called “door-handle bingo”: spotting a pull-down door handle that wasn’t broken earned you a point. Lounge chairs with broken backs were especially frustrating. Overall, the atmosphere feels tired and dull. I did enjoy spending some time in the sun at the farthest corner of the pool, but this is not a place I would choose to return to. Update: hand sanitizer dispenser was added to the buffet. It is however not properly maintained (dirty, empty). Update 2: No, just kidding, gone again the next day. I find not having a hand washing station and not providing hand sanitizer at the buffet completely unacceptable.

My husband, sister and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the resort, staying in rooms 3115 & 3114. The resort is breathtakingly beautiful. The food and drinks were very good! We would like to compliment the staff who did an excellent job. Many thanks to restaurant staff Abigail, a very friendly hostess, Karen and Ableino who works hard and is very attentive to his customers. Actually all the staff was very nice and courteous. We were also very impressed with the entertainment, both the pool and in the evening at the lounge. The Jamaican band was so much fun to listen to. We will definitely be returning!

First and foremost, the staff at this resort are some of the best I’ve ever encountered. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kept the energy up despite an older, slower crowd. Massive shout-out to Luna, Mar, Gordon Ramsey, Christopher, and especially Gabriel for the rifle shooting session — the experience truly wouldn’t have been the same without them and the rest of the amazing staff. The entertainment itself is top-notch, but the crowd made it feel much quieter than expected. This is definitely more of an older crowd that tends to wind down early (around 10 pm). If you’re looking for a livelier atmosphere, the sister resort (not adults-only) was fantastic and had much more of a “bop” vibe. The amenities could use some improvement. There were only about 15 loungers at the main pool where most activities take place, while additional loungers were placed in random, unused corners of the property. The rooms were clean but very dated — especially noticeable in the bathroom and shower. As for the food, it was better than at some other resorts I’ve stayed at, but still has room for improvement. The placement of raw meats (raw chicken, steak, etc.) around the buffet was particularly concerning from a food safety standpoint. Overall, the staff absolutely make this resort, but there are a few areas that could benefit from updates and better planning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Exceptional Stay at the Platinum Yucatan Princess! I’m truly impressed by this hotel — and that says a lot since this is my 20th trip to Mexico! I’ve stayed at several resorts like Bahia Principe, Riu, Blue Bay, and Club Med, but the Platinum Yucatan Princess is the one that fits my needs perfectly. A huge thank you to Maritza at the front desk, who gave us excellent advice and assigned us a very quiet building — exactly what I was looking for. The service is outstanding, and every staff member is polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. The room is spacious and beautiful, with a large bathtub, a double shower, and thoughtful details like a beach bag and three bottles of liquor (rum, vodka, etc.) upon arrival. The entire resort is spotless — rooms, common areas, everything is perfectly maintained. I also loved that there are peaceful areas for relaxation as well as more lively pools for those who enjoy a bit of atmosphere. A special mention to Ruby, who took care of our room — absolutely wonderful service! Overall, this stay exceeded all my expectations. If I could, I would give it 6 stars instead of 5! Can’t wait to come back soon 💖

This was our first all-boys trip. Usually I travel with my significant other, but this time it was just a group of longtime friends from high school. While I’ve traveled with a couple of them individually before, this was the first time all of us traveled together as a group. Everything lined up perfectly, and Platinum Yucatán Princess delivered across the board. The weather was great, the food exceeded expectations, and the overall atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The resort being adults-only made a huge difference. No kids, no noise, no stress. Just a true vacation where you can actually relax and enjoy yourself. The staff here deserve special recognition. Service was easily a 10 out of 10. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making the experience better. A massive shout-out to Luna, one of the event planners. She completely elevated our trip. She was engaging, energetic, and got us involved in activities we might have otherwise skipped. Because of her, the experience felt fun, personal, and memorable. If management is reading this, she deserves real recognition. Her presence genuinely enhances the guest experience. Another shout-out to Jacinto, our favorite bartender, mostly at the 24-hour bar. Incredible service, great drinks, and always welcoming. He added a lot to our nights and made the experience even better. The beach at this resort is absolutely beautiful. It’s right there, easy to access, and genuinely breathtaking. The on-site activities like the foam party and evening events were a blast and well organized. When we wanted to venture off the resort, the concierge and staff were extremely helpful with recommendations and advice, which made exploring easy and stress free. One great bonus is that staying here also gives you access to the Grand Sunset Princess and Grand Riviera Princess sister resorts, which adds even more variety to dining, beaches, and amenities. I traveled during the week of November 19 with Charlie, Stephen, Dennis, and myself. I’m Jimmy, the guy who won the push-up contest that week. We were all genuinely happy with this trip. Everything just worked. It felt like a perfect storm in the best way. If you’re looking for an adults-only resort where you can relax, have fun, enjoy great food, and not worry about anything, this is the place. I’ll be uploading photos and videos so others can see just how great this experience was. Highly recommended.
