Platis Residence Villa

Amazing villa with breathtaking views! The rooms were spacious and sparkly clean with all the amenities. Check in and out were smooth and Yiannis provided us with all the information needed for the island. The location is at the best sunset point of Oia and nearby many restaurants, bars and local shops. Would definitely come back again and again!

From the moment we arrived at Platis Residence we were absolutely enchanted. Perched on the cliffs of Santorini, the hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of the caldera, especially at sunset—truly a sight to behold! Our room was a luxurious blend of modern comfort and traditional Cycladic charm, with a private terrace and a jacuzzi overlooking the Aegean. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail was impeccable. The service was outstanding. Giannis went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. He also facilitated the check-in process since we arrived quite late at night. The location was perfect—peaceful and romantic, yet just a short walk from charming tavernas, boutique shops, and the famous Oia sunset spots.

My partner and I recently got married in beautiful Santorini and we stayed at Platis Residence Villa for 4 nights in the heart of Oia. The staff were super accommodating, very friendly, and they went above and beyond to make our special occasion as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Paz in particular delivered outstanding customer service all the way through our stay, from the booking process until we were onto our next destination. The hotel itself was meticulously clean and tidy, and even more spacious than it appeared in the photos. Now to the best part, the views. The views from both the upper and lower balconies were absolutely breathtaking. Completely unobstructed, you don’t have to fight any crowds, and best of all you can enjoy them from the hot tub. We woke up early enough to watch the sun rise over the blue domes and it was gorgeous. Overall, this villa was perfect for our stay, and if you’re looking for something truly special for your trip to Santorini, I’d highly recommend staying at Platis Residence!

Had the pleasure of staying at the Platis Villa in July and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. From first arriving in Santorini Paz, organised our pickup, suggested / booked restaurant reservations, booked a boat tour, organised breakfast. The villas itself is in the heart of Oia could not be in a better place with views of the Agean, blue domes right next to the steps of Santorini. The spa was great and the villa nearly acts as 2 apartments with an elevator between levels. Highly recommend for two couples or family / friends.

We had a room with no air conditioning that was nothing like advertised. The room was miserable almost 90 degrees the entire time. You could not sleep or get ready for sweating. When asked for at least a fan, Done was provided. One bathroom did not work at all. And they collected double what was quoted stating there was a new tax. We stayed in MANY other VILLAS and had zero problems and all rooms/villas were as advertised and priced as advertised. DO NOT STAY HERE!! YOU WILL REGEET IT AND YOUR WHOLE VACATION WILL BECOME A MISERABLE TIME! .

Scam alert! Summary: Overall Yiannis spoiled our trip- he might seem an amazing person when he talks- that was my impression but he is a very insensitive businessman so beware Dont stay in Alpada Suites or Platis Residence- you will get tempted by the cheap price and wonderful view with hot tub, but it’s a trap. Context: Had a negative and unfortunate experience here that really weighed on the trip. Yiannis seems like an amazing person but cons people. He has 2 properties- Alpada and Platis residence. We wanted to book Platis for 3Nights but he said as it is sold for 1 night we can stay in Alpada instead- he sent the link of the room he was offering which was an attached pool room. When we reached the hotel, he took all the money before in cash and then took us to the room- he gave us a suffocating servant room- a studio. When we complained he said the pool rooms are not functional. I mentioned as I am claustrophobic I can’t stay in this room and he said you have to manage it’s just a night. Cmon, I paid for another room and he cannot tell me what I should manage. I am claustrophobic otherwise I would have bought that room to save money at the first place. The next day he took us to Platis, it is at a beautiful location, no doubt about that. However my whole trip was spoiled as being claustrophobic my previous night was so tough. I asked him to refund us for the 1st night but he became agressive and simply denied. He started passing racist comments on how women are always negotiating and troubling and how difficult it would be for my man to be with me. In Platis Residence, we had a hot tub- but the lights of the tub were not working, the AC was not working. When we asked him he said yeah they might get repaired, he is not sure. Overall he spoiled our trip- he might seem an amazing person when he talks- that was my impression but he is a very insensitive businessman so beware Dont stay in Alpada Suites or Platis Residence- you will get tempted by the cheap price and wonderful view with hot tub, but it’s a trap. You can get a peaceful trip and place for a little extra money- prioritize your peace over the view.. Happy to share any messages or pictures as proof if anyone wants.

When you travel to very touristy places you don't expect to still find hidden gems. The Platis residence is one of those and I can't believe that we were lucky enough to find availability. I think this is the nicest view you could have on the Caldera, but also on the rest of Oia because it's on the highest point of the village. Looking at the 360 view from the hot tub is a privilege. I would recommend waking up early once and catch the sunrise. The room is designed with taste and with high end material too. We also enjoyed it because it is quiet and you're not invaded by all the people that come to look at the sunset. We saw other properties completely surrounded with tourists climbing on rooftops and balconies to catch the view. Yanis was such a great host, showing us around and giving us the tips to enjoy Oia off the beaten tracks. He genuinely cares about the guests. He was so kind that he sent us a free breakfast straight to our room before we left. He made us feel at home and we really enjoyed our discussions with him.

We stayed in Santorini for 2 nights at Platis Residence and the room was very clean, modern and in a great location. Even though it was off the main strip, it was not noisy at all and the view of the caldera is breathtaking. Yanis was such a sweet host, very helpful and kind, responding to our inquiries within minutes. Breakfast is also included in the price. There are only maybe 3-4 steps to get to the room which is key in Santorini. Two other couples we were there with had a lot of stairs to get to their hotel and complained how it was difficult to go up and down all the time in the heat. Would definitely recommend this place when in Oia.
