Extremely Disappointing Stay – Unprofessional Staff & Filthy Facilities
I am utterly appalled by my stay at this accommodation, and the root of most of my frustrations lies with the manager, Yannis, who is by far the rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry.
From the moment we checked in, Yannis’ attitude was dismissive and hostile, with zero regard for basic customer courtesy. What’s worse, his handling of payment was shockingly incompetent—he swiped our credit card twice and charged us double the total amount for our stay. Instead of taking responsibility and rectifying the mistake promptly, he left us to sort out the overcharge entirely on our own, forcing us to spend hours on calls with our bank to get our money back. This level of negligence is unacceptable for any business, let alone one that claims to provide hospitality services.
The accommodation’s cleanliness was just as abysmal. When we entered our room, we found used coffee capsules left in the coffee machine by the previous guests—clear proof that the housekeeping team did not perform even a basic tidy-up. To make matters worse, we decided to try the hammam located downstairs, only to be hit by a strong, unpleasant moldy stench the second we stepped in. The hammam floor was also disgustingly dirty, with visible dust and grime that made it impossible to use.
To add insult to injury, when Yannis realized we were dissatisfied with the service and the facilities, he even canceled our booking in the reservation system just to prevent us from leaving a review on the booking website—a sneaky, underhanded move that reveals what a deceitful and untrustworthy person he truly is. Yannis’s behavior is a stain on this accommodation’s reputation, and he is completely unsuited for a career in tourism.
A quick look at his responses to other negative reviews will tell you everything you need to know—he spends more time arguing with and belittling guests than actually addressing their valid complaints. Instead of wasting energy on defensive rebuttals, this accommodation should focus on training its staff to be respectful and competent, and on fixing its glaring cleanliness issues.
