"Set on a narrow wisp of land in northern Formentera, Platja de Ses Illetes offers a gleaming gold shore flanked by turquoise shallows on both sides; nature-preserve status helps keep crowds in check, and a half-hour stroll north along the headland brings views toward S'Espalmador and even more secluded beaches." - Anne Olivia Bauso

I Visited Formentera, the Most Sustainable of Spain's Balearic Islands — Here's What It Was Like
"A stunning, mile-long stretch of beach celebrated for its clear, crystalline waters and scenic sands; a highlight of the coastline that is easily reached by bike and emblematic of the island’s prized seaside quality protected in part by Posidonia seagrass meadows." - Michaela Trimble

Water is perfect but is overcrowded and there are less overrun parts of Formentera to enjoy. DO NOT EAT AT LA PIRATA! Worst tourist trap in Ibiza, paella is not cooked through .

I've never seen a beach like this before!
The water is a stunning turquoise blue — absolutely beautiful.
So peaceful and quiet.
Just lying down and doing nothing is the best way to enjoy it.
Truly amazing.
You must visit this place!

It was a very cute beach just to stop in for an hour in the afternoon. You’re good to swim around in the reefs. There’s no immediate danger. The wreaths are safe to step on, and there is a little trash, but not too much
The people are very friendly as well

Impressive!! What a beach! 😍 The sand feels like powder, the water is crystal clear and calm, and you can walk far out and it stays the same depth… absolutely loved it!

Busy beach. Would advise walking right down to the end or sitting on the side with the waves if you prefer less people around. We thought we could walk from the port, but it was a little far. I believe there's a bus (l13) or hire a bike.

The most beautiful beach on Formentera, there is one restaurant that is too expensive, there are sunbeds and umbrellas that must be reserved in advance

Mindblowing beach. I would recommend to stay for 2, 3 days if possible in Formentera. It is indeed one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
