This was a really cool spot, but your experience will definitely depend on when you arrive. The day is split into two timeframes — the first one runs until noon, and the second starts at 1 pm. Once the first session ends, everyone has to clear out, and a new group is let in an hour later. We had no problem getting into the morning session, but when we left, the line for the afternoon was already super long. And this was on a Tuesday morning — I can only imagine how packed it must get on the weekends.
The beach itself is peaceful and scenic, with calm, shallow water that only goes up to your knees, making it super safe for non-swimmers and perfect for families with kids. I was hoping for a good swim, but it’s not deep enough for that — though honestly, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. There are also a handful of palapas available for shade, but you’ll want to grab one early if you can.
It’s definitely worth checking out, but if you’re aiming for the afternoon session, I’d highly recommend arriving well ahead of time to beat the crowds.
