Playa Costa del Sol

There are many business tents set up on the beach, which has significantly increased the amount of trash left behind. Much of this waste is not picked up and ends up contaminating the environment and the ocean. Although there is a large sign stating that motorcycles are not allowed on the beach, people continue to ride motorcycles and ATVs as if they were in the city. This creates a serious safety risk, as they ride without precautions and could easily injure pedestrians. Authorities need to make a stronger effort to enforce laws and rules equally for everyone.

We were so impressed by this beach. It had some of widest stretch of sand of any beach I’ve seen anywhere in the world. The sunset was utterly incredible. The water was among some of the calmest and warmest I have been in. The beach is brown sand so do not expect a white sand beach and do not expect turquoise coloured waters, but it is still incredibly beautiful and we highly recommend it.

The best beach! Super sandy, no rocks, water is clear, there’s also surf, but water swimmable. Not too much in the way of stores or restaurants though. So staying at a resort with a restaurant is probably the best idea. Stayed two nights and it was perfect.

Best beach we visited in El Salvador! Got to visit the apartment complex of a friend (Portofino), and the beach in that area was just stunning. Water was comfortably shallow and was an incredible temperature. Cannot recommend enough!

My favourite beach from my visit in El Salvador. Long stretch of sand (not black), warm water, very peaceful, perfect for swimming and relaxing!

My family and I were there in October the weather was perfect! The beach is beautiful! The water is warm and the sunset is amazing!! Very safe . Food was good! Of course we also enjoyed fresh coconut water! I really love this place can’t wait to go back.
