"Near there, in Montezuma — a little hippie town known for its beautiful waterfall, the Montezuma Falls — there is a lovely restaurant with a great view of the beach called Playa de los Artistas. It’ll be the best meal you’ll have the entire trip. The menu is handwritten every day and adapts to what is fresh and available. They have really good sharing dishes, like spicy hummus, and a good wine menu too, which isn’t easy to find."

What a way to finish a visit to Costa Rica other than an extraordinary restorant On the Pacific shore of Montezuma, between green trees lay Playa de los Artistas (Artists Beach). We started with Mahi Mahi tartar which was delicious, we continued with Pink Corvina ceviche, wow! with Pomegranate, again, wow! through the Tuna carpacio with cacao seeds, genius! We also had the whole chicken and what can I tell you , if the ingredients are all fresh and the chef has great hands you get amazing food. it that simple for desert we had a hand made sorbe in Campari and Vodka, how else can you finish such a meal. This restorant is a reason to visit Montezuma, not the other way around Great work!

Super based menu but might be a bit overrated by now. You kinda know it’s overrated when the cool people aren’t there anymore and it’s just a bunch of twitter tech frat bros. 👀 lemonade was probably best of my life tho. Tuna tartare was 100. Food is great, vibe is ehhh. Seems like everyone there is trying to be someone. Service was great tho. Very knowledgeable about the menu.

Quite possibly my favorite place we tried on our trip. We went after hiking Montezuma falls. The roast chicken was SO good. We also had ceviche which was tasty. Almost every table is right next to the beach which was great for the kids to roam. I was very pleasantly surprised by the experience and wish we had time to go back again.

There should be a Netflix show about this place. Absolutely incredible food every time and very chill, relaxing atmosphere. We have been living in Costa Rica for two months and only missed one weekend going to Playa de los Artistas. I always get some version of tuna and a mango juice — the bread is outstanding and the whole chicken is also always a hit with my family. 100/10 recommend!!!

Lunch on the beach here was pure bliss. Perfect spot to relax after the montezuma falls. Amazing food, good wine, great service. Ingredients were incredibly fresh and while the dishes may have been Mediterranean in spirit they were very local in inspiration and flavor.

The food is really good, the price is not expensive because the quality is amazing. They didn't have a menu in Spanish and I have to wait too much. So as I was alone they gave me the worst table possible (being others available)

One of the highlights of our visit to Santa Teresa. RESERVATION RECOMMENDED The ATV mountain drive was exciting, but the late lunch at Playa de Las Artistas overwhelmed us with beach side tables, well shaded in tropical canopy. The atmosphere was upstaged by the daily menu. We enjoyed the Burrata, Beet Marinated Mahi Mahi as a light Red Pepper ceviche, Roasted Pork Belly over local White Corn, finished with Chocolate Pie layered with Pear on Flaky Shortbread crust. Even more refreshing was a more than reasonable tally at the end of our visit. The care, food imagination and organized service were excellent. Agradecido al Chef!

Best food in Costa Rica!! The menu has a good variety for all tastes. The fish was so fresh and our meals were creative and delicious. Presentation was top notch. Setting is heavenly and the staff were so friendly. Service was prompt. I would go back and eat here any day.
