We visited Playa del Postiguet on Wednesday 18th June 2025, having seen online that sunbeds and parasols were available to hire. However, after walking the entire length of the beach, we found none. A nearby bar confirmed they weren’t out yet due to the season, which is ridiculous considering it was 35°C and the beach was packed.
We had planned for a beach day, so we reluctantly bought a parasol and stand from a beach vendor. The beach was so crowded we struggled to find a space. The sand was burning hot, and the sea was really disappointing—you had to wade through thick black seaweed and even further out, the water was full of plastic and more seaweed.
The beach itself was littered with rubbish, including broken glass—I nearly stood on part of a beer bottle. It felt dirty and poorly maintained, definitely not relaxing.
Honestly, wouldn’t return. Needs serious attention and proper facilities before it deserves the good reviews.
