"Calm waters and beach sports are the main draws of El Cuco. Don’t worry about packing a picnic: there are plenty of kiosks where vendors sell snacks and simply-prepared seafood and fish. Be sure to bring cash (small bills) as it’s hard to find an ATM and few, if any, vendors take plastic."
Small village. Public beach very busy. Restaurants limited and I'm not fussy happy to eat typical local but some of the places were not at all appetising to look at or eat in. I ended up at a resort place and they are certainly not my go to places. Maybe I didn't see its best side but I wouldn't say it was worth visiting unless you are a resort person staying at pool with private beach access. That's not my idea of travel so I think there are better places to visit myself.

This beach has an area where you can access the beach. There is lots of places to eat. Free parking is scarce. But parking lots are available at a cost.
If coming from San Miguel, the road is not that great but if you go beyond like to Surf City 2. The road is great.

The place is amazing. The water is warm and almost clear. Just sand and water. From the center of El Salvador is about 3 hrs give or take. My wife's family

Beautiful beach with calm enough waves for the family. My boys (12yrs and 9yrs) had a blast! Will be back.

Famous beach in El Salvador. The water is not for novice swimmers. Beach front restaurant huts, boat rides, but water sports are scarce. You can find people playing beach soccer.
