"Just 31 miles east of Santo Domingo, the small fishing village of Guayacanes boasts an uncrowded white-sand beach with gentle surf and plenty of shallow water. A lush backdrop and tall coconut palms offer some shady spots, and umbrellas and chairs are available for rent. When hunger strikes, head to one of the surrounding food shacks or restaurants for a lunch of fried fish, rice, beans, and plantains, all washed down with an ice-cold Presidente."

Beautiful beach! Sometimes with seaweed, but always with garbage 😔! Is a not a safe beach, there’s a lot of people with doubtful intentions.

Warning to tourists - the men pushing you towards tables are scammers! We were charged more than $300 for a simple lunch and it was NOT optional, not a safe situation. It’s a nice beach but bring your own food!

Dont buy anything from the thugs on the beach. They always try to overcharge you for their overpriced garbage if you dqre to buy from them. If you must, just ask them straight that you will not pay for the table, which should be covered by the price of the food. And ask them for the complete service price from the start of what you want to eat and negotiate from there, look at the picture of what they wanted to charge me, of course I didnt paid that. Beach is not so good as it was 5 years ago. Its a bit trashy, not too clean; there are better options around.

The parking lots are a little bit expensive and the tables, they have good places to eat.

Legendary beach in Dominican Republic but citizen has eaten its natural resources, even though the authorities should make a better enfort to make this wonderful Beach great again. In spice of that, it's a very good beach to visit.
