Very nice beach close to the city center and the port. Went in March and still the water was nice although not in season. The pictures include the beach area up to the port.

Lovely beach 2.5 miles walk along the waters edge from one side to the other. 5 miles all together. If you're expecting white soft sand then you'll be disappointed. It's shail close to the water and dusty sand further back from the sea. However the amount of visitors is a clear sign that it's enjoyable. Very very busy. But for me personally it just adds to the day. People watching and seeing families having fun. The sea is clear and paddle boarders enjoy the calmness of the sea on calm days.

On a busy October weekend there was a real buzz around the beach but it wasn't too busy. The beach was clean and the sea was gorgeous and still warm enough for a swim.

Visited on a weekend afternoon — pretty crowded but still a nice spot to relax. 😬 The water wasn’t the clearest, but it was alright for a swim. Some vendors walk around selling drinks and towels, but overall the place felt safe and enjoyable. 😌

Playa la Malagueta is a great place to relax and unwind, especially if you’re staying in Málaga. It’s a sandy beach with a really nice, laid-back vibe—perfect for chilling out, sunbathing, or just taking a stroll along the shore. The water is beautiful and inviting, though I have to admit it’s not quite as clear or stunning as what you’ll find in Marbella. Still, the convenience and the view more than make up for it. There’s a lovely stretch of beach that’s perfect for walking, and you’re close to plenty of restaurants and beach bars (chiringuitos) if you want a bite or a drink. Overall, it’s a solid beach day option right in the city—very accessible and ideal for a casual, relaxing day by the sea.

Busy, but manageable. Snag a lounger, pay the 10 euro and order some drinks. Surprisingly good value. Water was lovely. Bit touristy, but you have to do it, at least for a few hours. Use sunblock. No hiding here!

Lovely busy beach. People don't look at you or notice what you are wearing either. It's safe to go as no one takes your belongings. Lots of food places to go to.

I was disapppointed by the water quality. There are lot of trash in not from people but from nature (wood sticks, alga, weeds). It was for me really disguisting. The waves are nice here but you have to take care if you have kids with you who cannot swim or not stable enough. The sea gets very deep very soon here so no gradual deepening.
