Playa la Malagueta

This is a great looking beach, very clean with lots of space. It was winter during our visit, but there were still people enjoying the space. We had a lovely walk along the beach and enjoyed the peace and slow pace there.

Playa de la Malagueta is a nice city beach with a good atmosphere and nice views. However, the sand is rather unpleasant and the beach feels quite dirty. Good for a short walk, but nothing special.

Very nice beach close to the city center and the port. Went in March and still the water was nice although not in season. The pictures include the beach area up to the port.

Great place to be if you're visiting Málaga. There are free public toilets and showers. There's a playground for the kids, few bars around, and also a supermarket.

Lovely beach 2.5 miles walk along the waters edge from one side to the other. 5 miles all together. If you're expecting white soft sand then you'll be disappointed. It's shail close to the water and dusty sand further back from the sea. However the amount of visitors is a clear sign that it's enjoyable. Very very busy. But for me personally it just adds to the day. People watching and seeing families having fun. The sea is clear and paddle boarders enjoy the calmness of the sea on calm days.

It is a good beach. One of the surrounding ones I tried had a loot of stones. Here there are just a tiny bit. It was not overcrowded when I went but I was there during the week. The water is super cold. But this seems to be the case with all beaches in Malaga 😅 Some guys sell drinks and cocktails on the beach so do not need to go to the shop if u do not want to- just bring cash. Only minus- people tend to leave their rubbish and I think it is tourists. I was collecting other people`s trash yesterday! Disgusting behaviour from tourists!

Visited on a weekend afternoon — pretty crowded but still a nice spot to relax. 😬 The water wasn’t the clearest, but it was alright for a swim. Some vendors walk around selling drinks and towels, but overall the place felt safe and enjoyable. 😌

Beautiful sunsets and a fairly quiet beach, not too crowded. I was there on June 21st.

This is a really nice beach area located just down from the cruise ship dock. It is an easy walk to get to and it is very clean. It was not at all crowded probably because it is late in the season. Well worth a visit

3 stars because the boardwalk is really nice and makes a really pretty walk. But the beach it's self... it's gross! It shocks me being this beach is in the city centre... but they don't clean it. If you swim here... you'll be swimming with floating cigarettes and plastic cups. Some say its because the close proximity to the port. I personally don't know, but if the city invested a bit of money into clean up... it could be a nice beach. But if you want to swim, take a walk for a few miles to the left or right of the city centre!

I have spent the last couple days here at this beach in Malaga and while the beach doesn't have the nicest sand or waves to surf, I really enjoy the atmosphere. It is a busy beach but it is filled with people who want to have a good time which makes it so much better! There are people coming around selling water, coke, beer, and even mojitos! However, if I were you it's probably cheaper to buy drinks at a store beforehand as I am sure they're cheaper. In conclusion, I wouldn't say this is a nice beach but if you're looking for a great atmosphere to enjoy some beers with some friends, this is it!

Great beach right in the city's center, and despite of that it is rather not very crowded and clean (maybe because of winter). Great to take a long walk across the shore or to simply enjoy the view.
