"On the Dominican Republic ’s northern coast, near the tip of the Samaná Peninsula, this unpopulated Atlantic beach stretches three miles from Cape Samaná to the cliffs of Cape Cabrón. To get here, you’ll need to take a four-wheel-drive vehicle or a boat charter from the small fishing village of Las Galeras, but once you arrive, you’ll find a nearly empty stretch of sand. The west end of the beach features calm waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling, while the east end has great waves for surfing. You’ll also find spots to rent kayaks, snorkeling gear, chairs, and umbrellas, as well as a few food vendors serving rice, beans, and seafood cooked over an open-hearth fire. This is the place to go when you want to get away from the crowds."

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever visited! The water is crystal clear, and the locals are warm and welcoming. The entire experience was incredible — I’d highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the Dominican Republic.

Playa Rincón – A Hidden Paradise Worth Visiting!!!! Playa Rincón is hands down one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever visited. From the moment we started the drive there, we knew it was going to be special — the road itself is stunning, surrounded by lush nature and scenic views that set the mood for a perfect beach day in the amazing tropical weather. The beach is absolutely breathtaking. The water is crystal clear, calm, and inviting — perfect for swimming or just floating and relaxing. The landscape feels untouched, giving it that hidden paradise vibe. We were lucky to visit on a sunny day and spent hours just soaking it all in. Another thing that made the visit so memorable was the people. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the charm of the place. We truly had a great time, filled with laughter, sun, and pure peace. The only suggestion I would make is to improve the cleanliness of the beach. With just a bit more attention to keeping it tidy, Playa Rincón could easily be one of the top beaches in the world. Still, it’s an unforgettable spot — a must-visit for anyone traveling to the Dominican Republic. Love it.

Been there in December. Not a lot of people but very big waves which makes it impossible to actually swim especially with kids. But it’s fun for sure. Beach is a bit dirty, trash not being cleaned up, but not enough trash to be a problem. Of course lots of sand and idyllic scenery.

Absolutely breathtaking. Between the crystal clear turquoise water and the horizon of mountains, it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is quite secluded(which is why it's so unspoiled and stunning), and the beach doesn't have much as far as food and drinks, so recommend bringing your own. This is the perfect place if you want to spend the day relaxing surrounded by the most stunning scenery. The water is perfect but in some areas a bit rocky. However, there is tonnes of soft sand under most of the water. 1000% recommend this beach it's a must see with your own eyes type of place.

Just about as perfect as it gets for a beach. Off the beaten path but that makes it less crowded. You can get food here as well as some drinks but you may want to pack some of your own just to be on the safe side. A car should be able to traverse through. Right hand side for the beach, left hand side for the river.

Get here before the hotels go up.. you have the fresh water river at the end which is gorgeous and lots of room in the sand to have your very own piece of heaven. We went in a car and stayed a couple days in a row enjoying the peace and the water. On the eastern part of the beach, before the restaurant, there is some mediocre snorkeling with mostly small fish. Busses drove by filled with resort sheep the whole time and they wandered up the beach taking selfies standing in the water... Annoying but still worth it. People will catch on and in 10 years it will not be the same. Visit while you can. This is like Tulum 20 years ago.
