Tulum ruins above the crystal clear sea such a magnificent view that will stay wirh you. After you park the car at the parking, you will have to walk quite a long way. It can get very hot, so make sure to bring water. We were there in february and it was very hot. The beach beneath the ruins is closed. For the view from sea side you can rent a boat that will take you from nearby beaches to see the ruins from the sea side and then they can also take you snorkling, to see stingrays and turtles.

Beautiful spot and good shopping for souvenirs at the entrance! Definitely get there at 8am when it opens because it’s best to see this place at sunrise, also there is way less people. If you go to the shops at the entrance, never pay full price. Always negotiate down.

Quite a busy spot, it is recommended to hire a guide, otherwise you’ll finish wandering around pretty quickly. $150 for parking, $112 per person for the beaches and $95 per person for the ruins.

With the ancient ruins as a backdrop, the turquoise waters and soft sands create a mesmerizing setting. It's like stepping into a postcard. Whether you're exploring the ruins or relaxing by the sea, this beach is a captivating blend of history and natural beauty. A must-visit spot that perfectly captures the essence of Tulum's charm.

I had high expectations for the public beach. I went in April 2023 and I was horrified by the seaweed problem. There is little to no maintenance of the road and seaweed, so the smell of the rotting seaweed combined with garbage is absolutely disgusting . I couldn’t stay there longer for more than an hour . I’m someone who can stay all day on the beach. I would recommend Cancun beaches over this beach in Tulum. The plus side is that it is a great place to swim and cool down after seeing the ruins , but not a pleasant experience for more than an hour.

Incredible site set against a very stunning ocean vista. Amazing to think of the place in its peak before the Spanish arrived. Unfortunately the hoards of tourists charging through so ruin the mood a bit, but we were one of them so guess we can’t complain. I would recommend to get there even before it opens so as to avoid a very long queue and hundreds of tourists. Would take a guide next time as I think it would add a lot to the experience.

The ruins were beautiful, if you’re taking the walking trail bring water and wear comfortable shoes and a hat but you can also take a scenic boat ride and feel the refreshing breeze and water sprays and then take a dip in the water among the coral reefs, swimming with stingrays, sea turtles, fishes and starfishes.
