Fabulous little bar/cafe. Lovely staff, chatty and polite and they make a great cocktail! A great selection of boardgames & the swing-seats are a fun novelty. A small venue with a lot to offer! :)

Absolute gem! My girlfriend and I visited Bristol for the weekend, and we love cocktails but aren't the clubbing type. Came across this place and it was lovely! The bartender Megan was very friendly very kind and very fun. Absolutely loved the D20 shot idea, was really fun! Cocktails were really good, would recommend the tequila sunrise and the cinnamon strawberry whisky drink thing. We didn't play any games but there was loads of board games on offer and adorable swings. Big props to Megan, made us happy to come back two days in a row. 10/10 place!

Really cute place we stumbled upon after fleeing a terrible loud cocktail bar. Loved the atmosphere, games and drinks and Vince didn't hassle us even though we were still finishing drinks at closing, then gave us a great recommendation on where to go next.

Excellent coffee, tea, and selection of board games. My favourite games are backgammon and coup but theres tons more :) Both Lilly and Fabian are amazing and so is their staff who always greet us a with a smile and some home baked cake. Recently they're open for drinks, craft beer and sophisticated cocktails - couldn't recommend Playground more. Local, honest, and high quality in the heart of Bristol.

Google
The place to come if you want to drink an espresso while sitting on a swing (though those 2 tables tend to be the most popular). A bit too small to get the laptop out, but perfect place to meet friends and have a catch up. Good selection of boardgames too!

I tried their chai latte, it was cold and way too sweet. I took a few sips, but couldn’t drink any more. The flavour was also lacking. One of the selling points are that their seats are swings. Unfortunately, I found these to be uncomfortable, too high, and too far away from the table. The staff were disinterested and impolite. Looking at the replies left on other reviews, I was a little nervous to be honest about my experience. I’ll end on a positive note by saying that the branding is lovely and the overall idea is unique.

Yelp
Love this place. Small but cozy, swing seats are the best. Plenty of games to play although not all with all the parts, but thats to be expected. Drinks are nice and staff friendly. Only downside is no decaf coffee as i cant drink caffeine.

Yelp
I've walked passed Playground Coffee House a couple of times, always favouring Bagel Boy as it's next door and I'm normally after a decent feed. But today I just wanted coffee so I thought I'd give it a go. What an awesome little place to hang out! From the outside Playground looks more like a hipster arts and craft shop. But in a good way. It looks intriguing and different from a lot of coffee shops that try and be hipster - theres an irony to Playgrounds hint of hipsterness! Get inside and the first thing you see are two wooden swings (yes swings) with a really nice chill-out windowsill with cushions to sit on. I'm actually sat on the windowsill as a type this and it's a really nice place to be! Much like the outside, the decor inside Playground is different to many other coffee shops close by; refreshingly different. There's lots of colour, swings and a few board games. It feels much more relaxing than your average chip board heavy coffee shop. The coffee itself is really good. I went for the house flat white which was quite sweet and really moreish. It was delicious. All in all a really nice experience and refreshing to see someone breaking the mould. Accepts Bristol Pounds & text to pay

Yelp
Nice coffee shop in a slightly more touristy part of town. Pretty good coffee, and lots of pastry/cake items to go with your brew. There are also juices and loose leaf tea. As the name suggests, there are lots of thing to play with including chess, monopoly and the swinging chairs. Not a huge amount of big spots to sit but I think the flow of people happens fast enough for a group of you to get a table if you want to beat each other in a board game and ruin relationships. Lots of nooks for solo coffee enthusiasts to sit and read books/work on macs whilst watching you destroy your friendships because someone won't sell you trafalgar square to complete your three reds.

Yelp
Great coffee, lovely staff and they've got SWINGS!! Perfect place for a catch up over coffee, a meeting or somewhere to squirrel yourself away and get some work done.

Yelp
Living in Seattle makes you rather experienced with coffee houses trying to be quirky and weird. This one would fit in Fremont. I'm too much of an old fart to really appreciate those antics, but they do serve really good coffee (I've been there two or three times spread out over some time, so there is consistency), so stop by when you're in the area and needing a picker upper.

Yelp
First place I've been to where you can swing over a very tasty flat white while watching the world go by!
