Playgroundz Play Cafe

Come for your kids, but stay for the drinks!! As parents of 2 toddlers, it has been quite some time since we have been able to sit down in a coffee shop and chill. When we heard that Playgroundz was opening, we were thrilled. Coming in didn't disappoint! We ordered an iced chai latte and an iced hazelnut mocha, both with oatmilk. Very good drinks and nice environment! It is $7 per child for open play, but it is so very worth it for being able to come and relax while the kiddos have a good time!

I can’t say enough good things about Playgroundz Play Cafe! We’ve had a birthday party there and taken our kids just to play and have absolutely loved it. Our kids love the options of toys and things to play with. We love the drinks and food. It’s honestly the best of both worlds and an amazing place to spend the morning or afternoon. A clean, safe, and fun atmosphere with wonderful staff and service. Check it out today!

Absolutely LOVE being able to have adult conversation while my kids play. The environment was lovely and so kany details thought of! Nursing seats in each bathroom a dimmed light setting. A potty training bathroom. Big kid and infant side fenced areas! We will definitely be coming back! A great idea!

As a work-from-home mom this Play Cafe is an absolute dream and I'm so glad to find a place like this in Quincy. I'm reviewing this business 1 month after their grand opening, so as they expand some of these details may change. Currently they have coffee and lotus options and a couple small packaged snacks (goldfish crackers, etc). They have all the expected coffee options including iced, hot, lattes, and milk substitutes. They have unique lotus flavors with fun names like "sidewalk chalk". Unfortunately I'm pregnant and am limiting my caffiene intake, but the few drinks I've had here have been super yummy and affordably priced. I'd easily compare the quality to other small coffee shops in town. The real highlight though is their play area- which is essentially an indoor gated play room filled with toys age appropriate for kids 1 to 8. My two girls (a 1 year old and a kindergartener) absolutely love the area. There is a soft cushion climbing area, an ice cream/ coffee cart, building toys, dinosaurs, and books. They do seem to rotate toys and there are often new fun things to find. All of the toys are clean and very well-maintained. They do have a separate area just for young babies as well. Parents can sit in the play area or at a bar that lines the area, looking in. There are also couches, comfy chairs, and cafe tables. I prefer the bar area, as I can watch my children while also working on my laptop, writing in my planner, etc on the bar top. One thing I very much appreciate is that the ambiance music is kept at a very low volume- which I think helps keep the kids at a low volume as well. The decor is comfy and gives kind of an earthy boho "beige mom" vibe- which again, is very calming. The staff are very friendly and easy going and seem to allow free-play without micromanaging the kids. I'm just so grateful a place like this came to Quincy. We'll be frequent flyers here. Clean, kid friendly, welcoming, and comfy. What more could a mom ask for in a coffee shop?

We really enjoy Playgroundz coffee, atmosphere, play area, and friendly owner. We didn't expect to have a fee to play in the play area, but it wasn't super expensive and was worth it (I think around $7. I don't know if it's more if you have more than 1 kid. We just paid the $7 and the owner offered to let our 3 yr old and 1 yr old both play in the play area.) The latte I got was the hazelnut mocha iced latte with oatmilk and it was probably among the best lattes I've ever had. They get locally roasted beans, which is awesome. In store, they sell snacks for kids, which helps a lot when having kids. Overall it was enjoyable to come here with my kiddos and meet up with a friend for coffee :). I am very grateful they made this shop! It means a lot for us young people with kids lol. One thing I'd love to see in the future is being open longer, like till 5pm. A lot of hangouts with kids go till around that time. But we love playgroundz!

I took my 15-month-old daughter for the first time this morning and we are obsessed! I got to relax with a coffee and a book, and my daughter got to play in a very clean, safe, and age-appropriate play area. We can’t wait to go back!

I love this place! I was here with my friend and her mom and it is amazing! GO THERE!!!

This bigger sized coffee shop is really cool. They have an indoor play area kids can play with nice interactive, and healthily stimulating toys for young kids. The coffee was great too!! I highly recommend checking out this place. This is the type of business Quincy needs.
