Plaza de Armas

Plaza de Armas is a beautiful and lively square, and I felt completely safe walking around. It’s full of great restaurants, shops, and historic charm, making it an easy place for tourists to explore.

Visiting the Plaza de Armas in Cusco was an outstanding experience. The elegance of the colonial architecture, the buzzing atmosphere of cafés and street life around the square, and the views at dusk made it a highlight of our trip. The cathedral and surrounding buildings are beautifully lit at night, which adds a magical touch. The location is unbeatable for exploring Cusco — everything is within walking distance. On the downside, being so central means it can be quite busy and noisy, so if you stay right on the square, consider bringing ear-plugs and checking for balcony rooms during quiet hours. Overall: highly recommended for a first-time visit to Cusco!

Beautiful square with two majestic buildings - one La Cathedral and on the side La Compana de Jesus where they are selling some artisanal items. Around the square there are the arcades and lots of quite expensive shops - with baby alpaca products and jewellery shops as well as restaurants and money exchange.This place is definitely worth to visit but be careful as the cars are not very kin to stop to let you cross the road. There are plenty of street vendors who trying to sell you stuff and women with babies alpaca to take the photos with them. Personally I think is not right to take so little babies to make the money but that is my opinion as I saw people taking photos with them despite they were terrified to see strangers.

The square is a recommended spot to visit. Pretty park area with flowers and trees. Plenty of gift shops.

Beautiful, historical area with amazing architecture. A lot of tourists and a lot of independent local street vendors trying to sell you anything from key chains to paintings to tours every ten steps you take. You seriously can not just sit and relax for over five minutes. You'll end up there no matter what if you're in Cusco and I still recommend it.

This place never sleeps. Buy food or souvenirs from street vendors. See marching bands near midnight. The list goes on what you’ll see here. Rest assured you’ll always have a great view of the rolling hills in the distance, the sparkle of the city, and the historic churches surrounding the plaza. Take a seat in one of the many benches and soak it up.
