“Nobody ever lives their life all the way up except bullfighters.”
~ Ernest Hemingway (The Sun Also Rises)
Love it or hate it, Bullfighting is every bit as Mexican as corn tortillas. And there's nowhere better to take in a bullfight than Guadalajara's Plaza de Toros.
Granted, this is largely because the bloodsport has been banned in most other places, but nevertheless, PdT is an impressive arena, if you're looking to take in some truly Mexican tradition.
Pro-Tip: While beer, liquor, and snacks are available onsite, many people bring their own wineskins and supplies.
Further, if you're going to attend a corrida, be sure to book your tickets early, as the best ones go fast, and it's not as much fun watching the fight from the nosebleeds.
