A nice, well kept, city plaza with historical statues, a big fountain, and benches. It's well shaded by large trees. They have municipal concerts here every Sunday evening. It feels very safe and clean day or night.

Ponce is my favorite city. Live music on Thursday nights. Plenty of great food near the plaza. Ask the locals where to eat.

Nice park in central Ponce. Nearby church is worth visiting and firefighter museum is in walking distance. Great place to sip coffee or eat ice cream.

Tha main plaza in the city of Ponce, notable for its fountains ans various monuments. Actually made up of two plazas, Plaza Muñoz Rivera on the north end and Plaza Degetau on the south. Flanked by the City Hall, Teatro Fox, Banco de Ponce and the Cathedral. The history dates back as far as 1670.

Love this place, the history it holds, and many forgotten stories. I was born in Ponce but raised in New York City. I have taken time to learn about my town. I know the history of the firehouse. I know the history of Castillo Serrallés. I know about the Ponce massacre. The Salsa singers who were born here (LaVoz, Cheo Feliciano, El Conde) just a few. One of Puerto Rico most influential people, Pedro Albizu Campos, was also born in this town. Please, if there is an important part of Puerto Rico history that should be known, it's this man mentioned above. Don Pedro 1st Harvard University Boricua to graduate with highest honors, but this valedictorian wasn't allowed to give a speech due to the color of his skin. Talked 7 different languages. USA government poisoned him with radiation. Yet I have done this to learn my past history. I have gone as far as to learn about our Taino ancestors. What they suffered as well. Know your past history because knowledge is power.

We were here on a sunny Saturday, there are many booth selling jewelry and all kinds of hand made stuff, even with drinks. There is also a live band playing music. The fountain is beautiful. It's a great place to sit and walk around.
