Pleasant Acres Reindeer Ranch

It was an amazing experience that I almost don’t want to share. The igloo was warm and very clean, and they even had light snacks, which was perfect for staying up late to watch the Northern Lights. Kenny was super accommodating, and we had such a great time.m!

Very comfortable and beautiful space to enjoy. Not to mention the views for viewing the lights are great. There is a café about 2-3 minutes away, A corner store in walking distance. And there is an excursion dog sledding, and reindeer walking close by too. In general, it’s about 45 minutes away from Fairbanks, and 45 minutes in the other direction for the Chena springs..very much middle point to enjoy everything.

We had a great stay here. The accommodations were perfect and so cute - much roomier than we expected. Great views of the reindeers. Sadly, we didn't see an aurora show, but we did see some aurora lights. The kitchen came in very handy also and it was well stocked with snacks.

We traveled from Tampa, Florida, with so much excitement to experience the igloo and see the Northern Lights it was truly a dream for us but due to the weather, my flights from Anchorage were canceled two days in a row, and even though I tried everything, I ultimately couldn’t make it; I provided official proof of the flight cancellations, yet they did not offer any refund, only a gift card for a future trip, and honestly I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to return to Alaska, so that option doesn’t help me; I understand there are cancellation policies, but in a situation completely beyond our control, we expected a bit more empathy or at least a partial refund, because we ended up without the experience and also losing $430.00 and I hope other travelers keep this in mind when booking in winter.

This was our favorite memory of our trip to Fairbanks. Accommodation was modern and convenient. We enjoyed the ease of walking right out the door to see the twinkling stars and the Aurora Borealis. Missed not having WiFi and didn't receive an Aurora alert as advertised. My one suggestion is to have a fresh kitchen sponge for each guest for better hygiene. A kitchen towel would also be helpful.

I first stayed here two years ago, and absolutely love it. Two years ago we sat on the deck and saw some amazing Auroras, so while we did not see any this time, it was still a great trip. We went to Chena Hot Springs to soak, we hiked to the top of Angel Rocks, and we saw Moose crossing the road. And yes, sitting on the deck watching reindeer while having breakfast is just a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back again.

It’s a great experience to stay with Pleasant Acre , very clean inside and warm. It’s a unique experience to stay in igloo in a white Christmas Eve. Reindeers walk outside, kid loves it. It’s definitely worth to recommending to friends.

Wifi did not work, fan in room did not work. No top sheet on bed. Fitted sheet and comforter only. Temperature in the room fluctuates...gets hot then cold. I would have liked to be able to remove the comforter and use a sheet but not available. No box springs on the bed. Mattress is hard.
