Pleasant Acres Reindeer Ranch

Staying here was truly a magical experience! The accommodation was warm, stylish, and surrounded by stunning snowy landscapes. Waking up in the morning with reindeers outside taking their walks. It feel like something out of a winter fairy tale. And witnessing the Northern Lights dance overhead from the comfort of our cozy place was absolutely breathtaking. Best of all, you do not need to track the lights, the host will inform you whenever the lights are visible. This stay was peaceful, unique, and one we’ll never forget — highly recommended for nature lovers and dreamers alike!

This is a most comfortable place to view the aurora borealis. About 45 min away from Fairbanks and the road is easy to drive. The igloo is warmed by a modern stove that has a digital thermostat. There are 4 windows from where one can view the aurora in a warm environment. Or, the wood deck right outside the door provides the perfect viewing platform. Get your hot drink, bathroom, warm clothes right there. No need to pay someone to take you out to chase the aurora in the cold. The little kitchenette is perfect for simple meals. Modern fixtures. We drove to Chena Hot Springs for for the hot springs and the restaurant a few times. Now that is an icy drive. There is the Missing Moose Cafe for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The mini fridge is a good size. Kenny provided a French press for coffee and quick oatmeal for breakfast.

We stayed 2 nights at Pleasant Acres Reindeer Ranch in December 2024. Super nice accommodations!! Very clean. Snacks and games were provided. It was fun to watch the reindeer from our igloo or on our deck! Kenny had everything plowed and shoveled…we got there during a winter weather advisory and got 12” of snow! Beautiful place to relax and see the aurora borealis!! I would definitely recommend staying here!! We’ve already booked our next stay!!

Incredible stay- the place was cozy and warm, the perfect size for 2 people. We had amazing views of the northern lights all three nights of our stay and it was fun to walk around the property and spend time with the reindeer during the day. The owner was very helpful and responsive. If you’re looking for slow relaxing mornings and beautiful aurora filled nights, this is the place!

This was such a fun experience! The stayed two nights and loved our stay. We were sent a code to let ourselves in upon check-in. The igloo had the heat going and was warm and welcoming upon our arrival. The owner is available via text with any questions. The doors to the igloo open up to the reindeer enclosure and we got to see feeding time. It is also dark out here so we did get the see the northern lights one night. So pretty! The location is close to Chena Hot Springs, Wagner's Pizza Bus, Two Rivers Restaurant. The igloo has a small kitchenette. We stopped and got some food and snacks in Fairbanks before heading out here, but there was some snacks available already, like popcorn, coffee, trail mix.

We had an amazing stay at Pleasant Acres Reindeer Ranch for 8 nights at the end of November. Seeing the northern lights above our igloo right from our deck was unbelievable. It was so convenient to be able to set up our tripods right outside our door and take photos of the aurora and have access to all our amenities of our cozy place. Our igloo was warm, with a modern kitchen and bathroom that had everything we needed. There was excellent wifi connection, easy check in and check out. Kenny, the owner made sure driveway was plowed daily and was very helpful with some aurora and photography questions we had. He also notified us when it was the best time to see the aurora. It was also so cool to be able to see reindeer right in front of our igloo. There was no light pollution in the area but was close enough to Fairbanks for an easy day visit and we also were able to visit several other attractions in the area. Highly recommend pleasant acres when visiting the Fairbanks area.

We had so much fun staying in the igloo! It was a perfect location for the northern lights. We also went to chena hot springs and did a dog sled ride at the Collective. Adorable place to stay!

Warm and cozy accommodations during snowy days surrounded by reindeer. Simple stove heat kept room comfortable, while waiting for Aurora Borealis. Kitchenette setup provided an indoor dining area where one was able to enjoy quiet and serene scenes. Clean and well stocked amenities.
