Google
We had the chocolate chip cookie and the oatmeal cream pie. The chocolate chip was good but I personally prefer mine crispy, these were on the chewy side. The oatmeal cream pie was good but very sweet. The coffees were okay but not worth the price. The service initially was fine but the female working last Saturday decided to blast the music while everyone was talking. There were multiple tables with families and couples at them all chatting away and she just walked over and blasts punk music from the juke box. Not sure if she wanted everyone out because they closed in an hour or not but we felt it was very rude and we will not be going back.

Google
Not sure if it's the best cookie out there, but it's definitely dang good. We ordered a few different cookies and a coffee to enjoy while walking around the neighborhood. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a great coffee shop—warm, inviting, and relaxed.

Aznin A.

Google
During my visit, I sampled the oatmeal pie and peanut butter pie. The cookie dough exhibited a soft and moist texture, making them highly recommendable. However, the beverages were less impressive. The Thai coffee, for instance, was unsatisfactory, resembling an Americano latte with an unpleasant taste. The matcha, however, was acceptable.

Google
It's a really cool coffee shop, that has some of the most delicious sweets around. We tried the Rice krispie treats and the chocolate chip cookies. The chocolate chip cookies really were some of the best we have ever had. They have some place to sit, with a jukebox. We had time and space to sit and enjoy our food.

Mateo G.

Google
I enjoyed a latte and a cookie here while waiting for an appointment elsewhere. The coffee was smooth and bright, and the chocolate chip cookie had that perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness that the best cookies have. The staff was quick and professional, and the interior was comfortable. I think this is a very nice coffee shop, and the excellent cookies are a big plus.

Google
If you're looking for the best chocolate chip cookie in America, look no further than Please and Thank You in Louisville, KY. This cookie, often called "Southern-sized," is a masterclass in texture. It's known for being perfectly balanced: soft, gooey, and rich in the center, yet with a beautifully crisp, caramelized edge. What truly sets it apart is the flavor—a heavy dose of vanilla and a distinct, satisfying salt-forward finish that cuts through the sweetness of the dark chocolate chunks. Paired with a hot cup of their coffee, this cookie is not just a treat; it's the defining taste of Louisville's vibrant bakery scene. The hype is real.

Google
I love this neighborhood spot! We stopped here every time we were in Louisville in this walkable neighborhood. The ice green tea is a must as well as a chocolate chip cookie. Also, does the name get any better?

Andy Logan S.

Google
Our corporate group stopped in during an event and had the best time ever! The staff are some of the kindest people we've met in the city, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and fun!

Yelp
Delicious and top tier coffee. I had the Honey Boy which was better than I could have imagined with espresso, honey, cinnamon and milk. And the most scrumptious food menu item is the oatmeal cream pie. It tastes homemade with tons of love baked in the oatmeal and then the cream is perfection. Sorry Little Debbie! A suggestion would be to put raisins in the cakes since they are like the softest oatmeal cookie ever. The place has healthy green plants all around the shop. I was admiring a Monstera in water and chatted up an employee about how good it looked. We both agreed it might need a shot of fertilizer. I should've got her name, she was working on the to go orders and being so kind! Service was excellent!

Yelp
I've heard a lot about Please and Thank You, including rave reviews from locals about how good their cookies were. I paid them a visit and they did not disappoint! The staff here are super friendly and helpful. I bought two boxes of cookies as well as a box to bake at home. Their cookies are GINORMOUS but worth every bite.

Yelp
Listen, I know why these were voted some of the best cookies in America; we popped in but had just eaten - so we got one of their to-go bags...and I also got the oatmeal cream pie cookie...because yum. I didn't get a chance to try them until I was on the plane home...and man do I regret not trying it sooner and getting more to take home. They are soft, fresh and so so good. The location is a bit funky (in a good way) and seems like a fun coffee shop to hang out in.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
Each time we go to Please and Thank You, the coffee is consistently good. The thing we always remember is the cookies though! Service and atmosphere were pretty cool too.
google avatar

Audra M.

Yelp
Please and Thank You was a great spot for a little treat when walking around the charming NuLu neighborhood of Louisville. My iced coffee and my husband's tasty pastry were excellent. They serve a delicious derby bar that successfully scratched the dessert itch! Staff was fun and upbeat, and service was speedy. I enjoyed the ambiance in a place that felt so warm and welcoming. People were working on laptops in the space that played great music, but not at a volume that did not foster concentration and conversation. Our window seats afforded us a look outside as locals went about their day.
google avatar

Audrey H.

Yelp
Not pictured: a matcha latte The sweet treats were delicious, although I thought the prices were a little steep. I would love to try more of their treats next time I'm in town! And there's great gluten free options if that's something you're interested in. The matcha latte was not pre sweetened which is fine, but the matcha itself was a bit bland and not the highest quality, so it definitely couldn't benefited from a sugary boost. Would overall recommend for dessert, but not for drinks.

Yelp
Very very very good chocolate chip cookies (of course). When my friend and I came in the Twin Peaks soundtrack was playing--heartbreaking, but excellent music nonetheless--and it was decently busy inside. We both ordered cold brew coffees which were good. I am always satisfied in coming here.
google avatar

Zohabe B.

Yelp
I had heard such great things about PTY and was excited to try the coffee. They told me that the chocolate chip cookie was their specialty and I can confirm it was delicious. Gooey and chocolatey with a good brown butter flavor. The coffee, however was gross. The Iced latte had an off putting artificial sweetness to it and the espresso itself tasted like diluted drip coffee. It was also weirdly acidic. I had such high hopes and was sadly let down.
google avatar

Desiree R.

Yelp
Don't think about it, just do it! Order one of everything, lol! The oatmeal cream pie cookie hits the spot in every way.
google avatar

Marina W.

Yelp
Stopped in and got the coffee and cookie special. Coffee was hot and strong! The chocolate chip cookie was delicious! A nice way to start our day!
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
I will never acknowledge this as a top tier cookie or coffee, but it's hip and plays cool music
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
I wish they had more non-coffee things. My kids liked the hot chocolate but the coffee I had was very middle-of-the-road. In a flooded market, this is not a go to. Please like the cookies, but I found them a bit too sugary. The interiors, for all their locations, are something fun and funky but without substance, we'll go elsewhere for coffee.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
This place is a good spot to grab a quick treat! The peanut butter cookies were delicious (chewy, moist, and an amazing peanut butter flavor), but there wasn't enough icing on it to be a cream pie in my opinion. The matcha was pretty good, but I wish they had more sweetener options than self serve simple syrup. The interior is cute with black and white consistently chic branding throughout the space, and the baristas were friendly and quick. It does feel like you're paying a little more for the branding than the flavor, but I might change my mind if I tried other cookies on the menu!
google avatar

Joi B.

Yelp
A coffee shop that prides itself on politeness in addition to "fresh cookies, hot coffee and loud music," has an immediate place in my heart. Oh and they have iced coffee, too, don't you worry. A Harvest Moon Latte lives up to all you would want in such a delightful thing. Slightly sweet and spicy, the coffee flavor shines through and it's like a warm (or cold) hug in a cup. I returned the next morning for their cold brew, also excellent. If only they had vegan cookies. While they have an array of gluten-free baked goods, the only vegan option is zucchini bread, which I didn't try... I'm just grateful it's not banana bread because that seems like the usual vegan option. Maybe one day?
google avatar

Sid G.

Yelp
It's a great spot to grab coffee and relax. I came here on a lazy Friday afternoon. The service was excellent and the staff is very nice.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
5 star cookies We ordered a bag of chocolate chip cookies and they were still warm and gooey. There was a long line to wait but the cookies were worth it. I also ordered a Mexican hot chocolate. It was not hot and tasted watered down. So I was not a fan of the drink.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Daaamn. Picking a hotel across the street was a bad call because chocolate chip cookies beckoned to me night and day, and day and night, through my entire stay in Nulu! I spotted it pulling up to the hotel, and I def contemplated walking straight over and checking in later. I did the civilized thing and got settled before making a bee line and getting my hands on the best chocolate chip cookie in America! I loved that they have a coffee and cookie deal for $5, all the time. It was exactly what I needed after starting my day at 3am PST. The cookie hit all the marks for me. Texture. Chew/crunch, chocolate chunk vs chip, aroma, salt and a few others. The only one I wanted was fresher, and a bit warm. Ok. Before you come at me. The cookie was fresh. I just want fresh out the oven here, and for that I need to time it better aka not the end of the day! The house coffee blend was solid too. The employee was also super cool, recognizing my exhaustion, let me have a bit more after I slammed the first cup! I got a little work done too, which was much needed. A fantastic start to my visit and worth the hype.

Yelp
Swung by here on a trip through Louisville. It's on Market Street, in a section with a lot of cute shops and boutiques, and easy to get on and off the freeway to. We ordered a chocolate chip cookie and got a $1(January special) 8oz hot coffee with an "emoji" iced cookie and matcha latte. They are supposedly famous for the chocolate chip cookie, and although it was buttery and delicious, it didn't stand out as better than others I've had.
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
Any time I'm near a Please & Thank you, I have to get a chocolate chip cookie. They're the best in town! This is such a cute location in a great spot! The staff is always friendly and provides fast service. I love the walk-ability in the area to enable popping in and getting a cookie.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
Of course we had to come here to try a cookie. We were reading about it and across the street and the sales girl in the store was like you must go! We ran over there right after. Delicious cookies.
google avatar

Avery E.

Yelp
The hype is warranted. Every Cookie tastes like it's made with a recipe of love. Inside the establishment are a bunch of local flyers, which show why Louisville is such a solid local community. The service is quick and friendly, you can tell they know they sell quality goods. The oatmeal cream pie is a burst of flavor bonded with a thick oatmeal texture. The cream is not overly sweet which helps with how big the sandwich is.
google avatar

Macauley N.

Yelp
Picture this: you're Christmas shopping in nulu with your friends and it's cold and you need a pick me up. You see please and thank you and all your problems are solved. Grab the honey boy latte and a warm chocolate chip cookie and you'll be recharged and ready to go! Best chocolate chip cookie in Louisville (arguably ever)--thick, chewy, soft, crispy edges, soo chocolatey, and the perfect amount of sea salt. Honey boy latte (I ask for light honey) is filled with warm spices and a slight sweetness that hits the spot every time. An iconic place to bring anyone from out of town and the perfect treat to take to your next get together with friends.
google avatar

Stacy L.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in NuLu. Lots of coffee & tea options as well as a variety of baked goods. There's a bit of nostalgia with a jukebox inside. Taking one star off because all of the pastries were covered with the exception of the pumpkin cream cheese muffins. I just wondered why they were just sitting out like that.
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Man oh man are these cookies divine!! The coffee was good, but the peanut butter cream pie cookies stole the show!! The chocolate chip cookie was also realllyyyy good. We saw a sign outside advertising the best cookies around so we had to see for ourselves. They did not lie! We went three days in a row to get the peanut butter cream pie ones. They had oatmeal cream pie, but I didn't even try it because I couldn't get enough of the other ones. The baristas were all super friendly and helpful. They laughed when we kept coming back in the door. I hate that we don't have one in NC, but if they ever come this way I will be the first in line!!
google avatar

Taylor C.

Yelp
Adorable lil spot in Nulu right next to all of my favorite shops. Perfect for grabbing a quick drink to walk with or a sweet treat mid shopping trip! Staff is super sweet and speedy! Highly recommend the Rosemary Lemonade on a hot day and the Derby Pie Bar is to die for!
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon for a small treat and happened to try a Derby nut bar. It was crumbly and delicious, full of chocolate and nut bits, and surrounded by a buttery cookie texture. The shop was cozy. Staff were helpful. Street parking is available. Plan to return soon to try other menu items.
google avatar

Jim N.

Yelp
Dropped in while shopping. Pretty sure their chocolate chip cookies are what they'll serve you if you go to heaven later! We will most definitely return.
google avatar

Leah H.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in while wandering Market Street. We each got an oatmeal cream pie, butterscotch latte, and rosemary lemonade. The cream pie and latte were perfectly balanced. Not too sweet like you might expect from a cookie and butterscotch. We sat at a table and talked while we ate, such a cute little shop.
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
I'm not sure how this is considered the best cookie in America. For $3.50, it was thin, severely underbaked (RAW), and lacked chocolate chips. However, it was warm and fresh. Indoor seating was also hard to find. Insomnia Cookies are better.
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
I'm skeptical of things that seem overhyped and P&TY certainly gets a lot of it. But they really do have the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had!
google avatar

Ilana Z.

Yelp
Stopped by on a trip to Louisville. The iced matcha latte was yummy and the cookies were soooo delicious!!
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Please & Thank you, has literally one of the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had in my life. This place has literally won awards for this cookie, now I can see why. It's the cutest little shop, with a great selection of merchandise. There was a line out the door for this place. Milk & Cookies Please.
google avatar

Sophia P.

Yelp
This place is just ok. It's a fun kind of punk vibe inside, nice to work out of if you dont mind background noise, and staff is lovely. The coffee is just OK for the price, I had a Mexicann mocha and remember just thinking i've had better, but it wasnt bad. I really dont understand the cookie hype, they are just regular homemade cookies for a really expensive price. Not sure why I hear so many people recommend the cookies here, but to each their own! I'd go back if I was in the area during a chilly morning, otherwise, I'd probably go somewhere else.
google avatar

Leah B.

Yelp
Can you really go wrong with delicious cookies and craft coffee? Please and thank you is always a winner. I ordered a cappuccino and a peanut butter cream pie which is made with pb cookies and pb cream in the center!
google avatar

Gina M.

Yelp
Quick service! Got the Laura Palmer which was delicious!! And a cute pumpkin cookie. I'd stop by again. Walkable, and street parking and nicely priced. Had some additional cute buys like clothes and cool seating.
google avatar

Morgan B.

Yelp
Came here before heading to the airport and loved the gooey, warm chocolate chip cookies; wish I would've gotten more! I had an iced butterscotch latte that was pretty good, just wish I could have tasted more of the butterscotch flavor. Service was fast and friendly and it was a very cool coffee shop, looks like a great place to work from.
google avatar

Shenise F.

Yelp
As I searched for the best latte via google in Louisville, KY, it suggested that Please & Thank You would fit what I was craving. While looking over the menu, I saw that they had a butterscotch latte and I quickly abandoned my plan of ordering a vanilla latte. The mixture of the smoky sweetness of the butterscotch and the espresso shot was a welcome boost to get my day started. The was establishment has been voted as the #1 cookie shop in America by USAToday. The chocolate cookie was insanely rich, soft and full of chunks of chocolate. There were other sweet treats such as the brownies, which I also ordered were equally as delicious.
google avatar

Saharra W.

Yelp
Not worth the hype. I had the Laura Palmer and it was very sour. The person taking our order was very rude. Someone in my party asked if a coffee was sweet and her response was yes that what the syrup is for. The service we received was enough to make me only want to come once.
google avatar

Allen A.

Yelp
I am allergic to gluten and chocolate so there was nothing here I could get but my wife got a chocolate chip cookie and said it was fantastic
google avatar

Erin P.

Yelp
One of my "must stop" places in Louisville. I always get the $5 chocolate chip cookie and black coffee combo and it hits the spot every time. Their cookies are absolutely insane. Gooey, excellent chocolate to cookie ratio, and with just enough salt to keep you coming back for more. They also sell cookies by the bag but don't sleep on those oatmeal cream pies. To. Die. For. If I'm ever back in Kentucky around a birthday, I'm definitely splurging for a cookie cake! Staff super friendly. Excellent coffee bar selection. A must in Louisville!

Ashley R.

Yelp
I'm honestly not sure what the hype is about this place, the employees were not very inviting. I ordered an Iced Butterscotch latte and the espresso was so overpowering and burnt tasting I literally took 2 drinks and poured it out. That was a huge waste of an almost $7 coffee. It had absolutely no flavor, nor was it sweet in the slightest. I always frequent different coffee shops when I am visiting different areas and this by far was my worst experience!! Maybe the cookies carry the business, idk??

William C.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend. Coffee is great and quick. People are super friendly and spaces to sit.
google avatar

Liz S.

Yelp
Friendly staff. I am usually a cold coffee drinker, but the hot honey coffee was delicious. It made me rethink the hot drinks. We will be back to try more items.
google avatar

Keena T.

Yelp
Quick service and wonderful cookies!!! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
google avatar

Kaitie L.

Yelp
Atmosphere was cool and chill. The staff was friendly and kind. The coffee was bitter but I think that's just their roast. The cookies are THE best!
google avatar

Sheila D.

Yelp
The best coffee in Louisville! Love the funky vibe and the service is great. This was our place for coffee while visiting the city. Tried other places but came back to this location. My favorite drink was the Spanish Latte.

Jessica m.

Yelp
Great coffee and they use house made syrups which is a major plus! Chocolate chip cookies were yummy too and the staff were super friendly.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Tried for the first time earlier today. After my first single cookie, I went back for a bag (6). It's 8 PM and I'm at 3 and counting. This is hands down the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had. It's velvety, rich in devinely chocolate-y. Mercy. I will have a 4th before my head hits the pillow.
google avatar

Karina U.

Yelp
Tried to get the one item I could eat (a GF brownie) but they were out. My coworker bought two cookie bags to go and was charged $50. I told him each bite will probably cost him $2.50.
