Terrible experience! When we arrived the location looked in a bad condition and not stable. It smelled not fresh at all. After being there for 2 hours we had to leave because our beds and suitcases were full of ants. The ants were living in the matresses. It was late in the evening and the person at the lobby didn’t help us (4 young girls) to find a new place. Would recommend to book somewhere else!

Place is a little run down (very). The doors don’t hold shut when you close them and they have the rock that gets put in front of it to hold it there, sometimes it doesn’t lock. We were 9 to a room with 1 key. Bathrooms: water gets hot, stays hot— but you share the bathrooms with so many people, it gets very competitive and competitive. Atmosphere: breakfast isn't included, and in my opinion, it’s overpriced for what it is. I’m still hungry after eating it. (Even other meals). Good food, but not the best I’ve had. Very, VERY loud. Traffic all the time, and tonight there was some sort of concert that I could hear every strum from. The windows have no glass, which is nice for the sound of wildlife, but not for anything else. Pool could use some paint and more frequent cleaning, I wouldn’t swim in it—my friends did though. No AC, but it’s Costa Rica and that’s very normal, plenty of fans. Only a sheet to sleep in and now towel provided. Towels are rented for a very cheap price of $2. POSTIVES: 1.) Very kind and patient staff 2.) Nice hammocks and other accommodations 3.) Hostel Cat (she’s super cute, was kind of shy, but now we’re friends and I will miss her) 4.) Beautiful view, lots of birds, and I saw a huge iguana. Overall I would come again, but remember to bring my own small pad lock, travel fan, disinfectant wipes, and ear plugs

I had a great time at Plinio. We booked a private room with AC and a bathroom and it was affordable and comfortable. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The AC worked great and the wifi was fast. The restaurant was one of my favourites in the area. After Plinio I stayed at a fancy hotel by the beach and I liked Plinio better! The food was great and it was beautiful to be up in the trees. The bus back and forth from Quepos to manuel Antonio made getting to the beach so easy!

Far too many people sharing a bathroom. The big fans plus only a top sheet make for very cold nights. Everyone in my room was using their towels and rain jackets as blankets. Location is terrible. Not near anything. Receptionist booked me for the wrong tour, and now I'm out $70. The vibes were off. No sense of community.

I stayed in the studio. I highly recommend. Comfortable bed, ac and ceiling fans. The kitchen is awesome with a fridge and microwave. Housekeeping does a great job. Plenty of hot water. Great views. There is a balcony and you can see many birds, iguana, lizards and acouti. Staff are kind and helpful. The hostel kitchen is perfect. There are tables and hammocks and plenty of books and games to borrow. The pool is wonderful. There is also a restaurant on site. You are in Quepos or Manual Antonio is ten minutes by bus and can walk too.

Nice atmosphere, there is a swimming pool and a shared kitchen. With a bit of work and repair, everything could be great, please empty the pool and paint it. The road in front of it is a bit loud, and you hear the other guests above you. Nice little restaurant next to it.

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great experience. Super friendly staff, a nice room and good facilities (the pool and the restaurant/bar next door was a huge bonus!). David on reception was a super nice guy and helped us to organise a cheap and amazing guided tour of the national park. Our room was a little noisy due to proximity to the main road and animals on the roof but… that’s to be expected! Would highly recommend this place if you are travelling in/around Manuel Antonio.

Absolutely amazing. Great location (even if you don’t have a car, there are loads of buses all day), the hostel by itself is great, all open in nature, and there’s a pool and a restaurant with an amazing view. The hostel organizes many tours, it’s easy to meet people. Couldn’t recommend more !
