Great place to get a good cocktail. I enjoy their specialty cocktail menu. It does get pretty busy on the weekends, so I recommend going during the week if you want to talk and enjoy your company. My one recommendation is for more comfortable chairs.

The drinks were delicious and the food matched 😋 I had an old fashioned as well as a Manhattan 9/10 We had the meat and cheese appetizer as well as the Buffalo cauliflower 9/10 For dinner, I had the GFB (Good F***ing Burger) pictured above. And let me just say, it livex up to its name. The in house sauce they put on it was to die for. This place is definitely worth a stop if you're in Missoula! 👌🏾

My friends and I have been regulars at Plonk and have always enjoyed our time there, until recently. A waitress named Jacqueline has consistently been rude and dismissive toward our group. She rolls her eyes at our orders, slams drinks on the table, and makes unnecessary comments about what we order or say. Her attitude has made us feel unwelcome, and it’s disappointing to see the atmosphere change because of one employee. We love Plonk, but experiences like this make us hesitant to return as often.

Google
This is a really nice place that's open in the front and has a lot of seating in the back and upstairs. I wasn't very happy with the choice or the price of appetizers here though. The mains looked more interesting but again things are expensive here. I enjoyed the beef tartare with a yogurt sauce, really great flavors there. The lamb meatballs were also delicious.

Google
We sampled several Cocktails and a few menu items for happy hour. Falafel: tiny fritters, but very tasty. Really enjoyed the zaatar bread. Takoyaki: very good, nice balance of flavors. G.F.B.: fries crispy and delicious. Burger bun quite salty... ruining the burger. Without the top... burger had a nice valance of flavors with the relish and cheddar and bacon. Cocktails: We started with St. Shefije and g.f.c. Both perfect for a pre-meal cocktail/aperitif. Delicious, light, bitter, not too sweet. We continued with pretty bird and expresso martini. Both perfection. We finished with a plonk cosmo. Not bad.. but mundane after such powerful cocktail combinations. Wait staff were kind, attentive, but not over bearing. The place might have been a little pretentious in most cities... but it didn't feel so here. Decor was comfortable and a tad hipster. Overall, we enjoyed the visit and would return on a future trip to MSO for the cocktails.

Had the makers Ginger and local lamb dish. Perfection. Caitlin is an amazing server/bartender. Atmosphere is cool. I freaking love the wall of 80-100 8 track tapes of the Stones Let it Bleed album. Coming back anytime I’m in town. ❤️

Plonk is a classic staple in the heart of Missoula... it's where to be for upscale cocktails, atmosphere, and experience. Dishes are well prepared and presented. Plan your visit as they pack out most days, a strong endorsement of consistent experience by both locals and area visitors.

Amazingly designed decor, awesome team members, delicious eats, and amazing views from the Roof deck! make Plonk in Missoula, MT an amazing location for relaxing and dining. Emmett, is so nice, helpful, and patient with Customers. Everyone else is awesome too. Try their Vegan choices, or meat choices. By the way, their roof deck is awesome. Daniel Read IV

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in Missoula for the night on a cross country roadtrip, and everything we ate was amazing! We loved the mushroom empanadas, flatbread, and grapefruit and avocado salad. Maybe our favorite thing, though, was the chocolate tahini marquise dessert - it was just divine! My friend enjoyed the house red and I enjoyed the local hard cider (Western Cider Ranch Hand). The atmosphere was great, and our server (Alex) was attentive and friendly. We were so pleasantly surprised by this gem!

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant! Came here during happy hour, good selection of drinks and food. Staff were so friendly. I got the gin and juice cocktail, so good, not sweet, really refreshing. To eat I got the flatbread of the day and it was delicious, also got the personal ploughman, came with one type of cheese. Overall everything was delicious!

Dana M.

Yelp
One of Missoulas finest for swank. Charcuterie with your wine? Check. An upscale meal with a side of potatoes fried in duck fat? Oui. The servers and bartenders are very knowledgeable and personable humans. I personally love the GFC cocktail. It's a lovely green with ginger garnish. Refreshing and easy to enjoy.

Chelsea W.

Yelp
The best wine bar in Missoula. 10/10 service, ambience, food & drinks all exceeded my expectations. The flat bread was incredible! And an avocado margarita? BRILLIANT & OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! My server was amazing, recommended me and off menu margarita & it was great! The cocktail list is out of this world!

Yelp
Noisy but delicious. I had a non-alcoholic bar drink called East Street that was fabulous.

Kym S.

Yelp
Nice upscale restaurant. Good food, great date place. Been here a few times, it's average for the area. It's nothing extraordinary.

Yelp
We recently stopped by at Plonk on a very hot afternoon for a refreshing drink and a couple of tasty bar snacks.  The buffalo cauliflower and the falafel were both delicious and satisfying.  The plonk cosmos were also very good.  The restaurant is centrally located with nice views out the front windows and a great patio upstairs.  The service was very friendly and welcoming. Plonk is a great place to stop by for good eats, good drinks and good service.

Yelp
One of the best dinner we had on our trip to Glacier National Park. Ryan was an amazing host who served us extremely well. I loved my Salmon. My daughter enjoyed the medium ribeye stack. Great Ambience. The dessert was divine. All in all an awesome experience

Jack T.

Yelp
Had dinner with three others friends last Monday. Our server was great... drinks were good... food was just ok. My meat loaf was the size of a 3-4 oz serving and was bland. The others had the GFB which they both said was average. We were all disappointed as we had heard the place was pretty good. Server.... 5 stars Dinner....2 stars Drinks ....3 stars

Angela N.

Yelp
We ended up here after an event looking for food and cocktails. Lively ambience - great staff. Forgot to take pics of the entrees...I had the pollo Al plancha which was fine but should have gone for my 1st instinct of pork chop or eggplant. The apps were all good...steak tri-tips, sardines and the ploughman's board. They served proper cocktails and bonus that it's open until midnight.

Yelp
We had enjoyed our first visit and came back on a Thursday for another meal. Unfortunately, Plonk seems to have issues with staffing. We waited ten minutes after seating for a waitress and finally had to get up and ask to be able to order. Then the waitress brought the wrong drink, but rushed away before we could have it corrected. We had ordered the ploughman's platter for an app and then waited, and waited. A staff person checked in after about 20 minutes and we told him we were waiting on the platter. He went to check and we waited and, you got it, waited. In total we waited for about forty minutes. And still no platter. So we finally flagged down someone to have the order canceled so that we could go somewhere else to eat. Everyone was very nice and I get that they were busy, but that's a pretty serious miss on the service end.

Colby M.

Yelp
Relaxed upscale atmosphere that has great cocktails and food. I was traveling for work and stopped in for dinner and was treated well by the staff. The duck I ordered was delicious! One of the top places for dinner in Missoula.

Woody H.

Yelp
Excellent food. Friendly servers. The cheese platter exceeded expectations. A great starter.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Our first trip to Missoula Montana and happened across this beautiful rooftop restaurant.

Bj M.

Yelp
The best salad I have ever had in my life! It was way too hot in there, as the sun was beating through the beautiful glass wall directly on my face, but the felicities ginger cocktail made up for it.

Trudy B.

Yelp
First time here and was excited to try some upscale cuisine in MT. The environment is awesome. Swanky, yet historic and I lived soaking in every ounce of the ambiance here. The service was really quick which was also great. The cocktail menu is impressive with some unique and cool drinks. We ordered the garlic shrimp to start and the only thing wrong was there wasn't enough. The flavors were outstanding. I ordered the king salmon and I am PICKY about my salmon being from Alaska. I usually won't order fish out but I wanted to give it a try. It was cooked to perfection, a stunning dish, but needed seasoning. I also don't think the beet sauce works with this dish. After I salted it, it would have been 5 star without the beet sauce and I do like beets! It just didn't work with this dish. Everything else was great, I will be back!

Britany K.

Yelp
Service was great and the rooftop is beautiful. Food was delicious and portions were great for sharing.

Marci P.

Yelp
Great place for wine and a snack-we ended up stopping here walking around downtown Missoula. The $8 personal cheese board (which turned out to be $6 because we were there during happy hour) and the house wine bottle were just perfect! Great ambiance and a gorgeous restaurant!

Caroline G.

Yelp
Everything about this place is top-notch. The bartenders make incredible drinks, they're very friendly and make the whole experience enjoyable. Every dish we had was off the charts amazing. It's like having a five star dinner in a funky and fun atmosphere.

Yelp
Amazing! The drinks were so good, so good that we went back the next day for another round. The place and atmosphere is very new yorkish....which was cool for a small western town.

Ness G.

Yelp
Always greeted with a smile and a water, food is amazing and you can tell the chefs took some time on the menu. Trendy chill ambiance but I feel like you could wear anything. Love

Erin W.

Yelp
Food is consistently good, great atmosphere and service. I love that they have small plates

Brian C.

Yelp
Ok so I like this place. First time time to Montana and Missoula. Super cool place. Killer vibe. I was kind of bummed because I was getting on a plane so I couldn't drink because I need drugs to fly. I had the best Mocktail of my life the Cucumber Gimlet damn it was good l. The food wasn't bad. What I wanted was only available for dinner. Might have to go back. I had an app and it was ok.

Karen G.

Yelp
Tucked in the heart of Missoula, this elegant mid-century modern wine/cocktail bar is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink or two. The wait staff are warm and personable, making it a very comfortable experience. The drinks list is much more than what's posted online. Even the Coke is special from Mexico in a bottle (the original flavor). After ordering wine and cocktails, our table shared the Ploughman's Board, the Sardines and Saltines, Buffalo Cauliflower, Mushroom Steamed Buns with Pork Belly, the Duck Arepa, and the Grapefruit and Avocado Salad. Everything was delicious. We really liked the variety of items on the Ploughman's, and it was the perfect size for sampling. This is a great place for a special occasion or date night.

Yelp
I had hopes, but it was really just okay.nice atmosphere but I expected more. They tried, it just didn't seem fully realized.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. What more do you want. Oh, great wine too! The upper patio is great when the weather is good.

Yelp
I was visiting some friends who live in the area and we stopped by Plonk upon arrival and then one last time before I flew home...they were fantastic... The contemporary rustic themed restaurant is attractive and makes for a very nice dining experience. There's a full sized bar downstairs and we were fortunate enough to have nice weather to dine on the rooftop on both visits. Our server was fantastic with keeping the drinks fresh, waters filled and helpful with the menu. We didn't get her name but it was the very friendly Asian girl taking care of tables in the patio. I sampled multiple dishes and cocktails during both my visits and here's everything I enjoyed.. Korean BBQ fries with tamari glazed pork. This was a favorite dish for everyone to pick at along with their main dishes. Green Garlic Hummus - Fresh af hummus. Pork Steam Buns - The pork shoulder was tender and melted in your mouth. charcuterie board - Solid from top to bottom. A full roll of bread that paired well with the 3 meats and 3 cheeses that came with the board. Portions were generous enough for two people to share. salma hayek - jalpeno infused tequila margarita that was tasty. G.F.C. - ginger vodka, basil, fresh lemon lime. This was my favorite in house cocktail here. Refresing and creative, definitely give it a try. Coconut Lime Rickey - a little too sweet for me but if sweet cocktails are your things, this one is good to go. Plonk is a very stylish foodie restaurant that would have it's place in any major city along with other hip restaurants. I'm sure i'll be visiting here again on my next visit to Missoula. Cheers!

Yelp
Still my favorite in town. I don't know who they have hiding back in the kitchen, but there are rockstar, always impressed with the attention to detail of what we order- Cocktails are so good. The only thing I could complain about is getting carried away spending, but then again, I enjoy myself here so much I am no problem indulging :-)

Sabrina C.

Yelp
As always everything here is delicious! Regardless of I have ordered everything is bursting with flavor and never disappoints! Service is friendly and the atmosphere can be anywhere from quiet to a bit loud at times on a busy weekend night. Would highly recommend this place!

Robin W.

Yelp
The caviar experience was amazing! Beautiful establishment, great service. Mushroom soup is amazing as well!

Larry C.

Yelp
Great bar and bar keep extensive collection of everything The meal s we ordered 4 were skimpy and lacked substance but tasted great- no one was there maybe because people want to eat a meal not sauces!! They need to add bulk food to their menu

Brian F.

Yelp
This review is for their cocktails. They also have happy hour from 3pm-5pm and 10:30pm-midnight daily. My first drink was the anton chigurh ($14) which has big tequila flavors and is smoky from the mezcal. My second drink was the old grandad's bucking branca ($14) which is essentially a branca mule with bourbon. There is a lot of ginger beer so you can't really taste the bourbon and not much at all of the branca either. Usually when I read a cocktail menu I see at least a couple that speak to me and intrigue me to order them. This wasn't necessarily something I saw here. This is more of a wine bar and although their cocktail selection is good and has variety I thought the ones that I ordered were just okay.

Connor L.

Yelp
The coconut lime rickey was one of the best drinks i've had. Wish the drinks didn't take so long to come out, but the ambiance in the venue was fun and upscale.

St. P.

Yelp
I left disappointed and hungry! We heard this is a great place to eat and gave it a try but will not be back. First - it's really more a bar: very hip clientele, noisy atmosphere and loud music, nowhere comfortable seating to enjoy the pricy drinks and food or have a conversation. Second - the portion size for the prices is unreasonable! $17 for 2 garlic shrimp as an appetizer or a 2x3 inch piece of salmon for $36 - ridiculous! Third - yes the food and drink menu reads very creative, sounds delicious and is unique. Fourth - it still lacks craftsmanship and knowledge in the kitchen - salmon was prepared too hot resulting in a very dry experience. Fifth - everything needs more class ... the staff should not show that much skin and all their tattoos, hair or piercings.

Mandie H.

Yelp
I'm so ashamed I havent reviewed this place yet..It's seriously my favorite place to have dinner in Missoula..I've posted pics but not a review??? Ugh. I love everything here. It can be a very veggie forward meal if you want it to be which I love. They know how to roast, saute, and season veggies so this is an excellent choice for vegans and vegetarians. Most vegetables are locally sourced from Mizoo farmers and gardens. Meat lovers will find something here too though and they use organic, grass-fed, local and sustainable. The vibe is intimate and a little sexy. Beautiful bar and the space is renovated modern Victorian. Upstairs is the patio which looks over the mountains and they generally have gorgeous flowers that permeat your experience.

Susan L.

Yelp
Imaginative menu in lovely rooftop venue. Nice cocktail menu & good wine list. I would highly recommend .

annie h.

Yelp
We ate here once before and came back for the creme brulee. Bummer as its now matcha flavored. What? Yuck. For dinner we got the salmon, fantastic, the tenderloin, great but the camarones, we didnt like - weird sauce.

Yelp
I'm in Missoula 4-5 times a year to fish. Usually we're staying out on the river somewhere. But we always come into town for dinner once or twice. I've wanted to try Plonk for years. Strangely, my fishing buddy from New Hampshire, who's a total foodie, refuses to eat at nice restaurants when we go fishing. I struggle with food allergies so eating fried bar food doesn't work well. On our recent 30th anniversary road trip with my wife earlier this month we landed in Missoula for four nights. We did some fishing (Blackfoot River and Bitterroot River) , and we also came into town to eat at Plonk! There was no second guessing. We headed right to Plonk. The atmosphere is fantastic. Even during COVID. Tables were spread. Doors to outside open so lots of fresh air. It was a warm summer evening so we picked a table on the inside, but right at the large open nano-doors. Plonk has an artesian craft bar with an excellent selection of fine liquors. They have a fun cocktail menu to go with that. I don't drink much anymore due to my allergies (can you imagine being allergic to alcohol and beer? Ha. ). That being said, I will have a good tequila drink every once in a while. They had excellent collection of fine tequilas. Babbs had a glass of wine. Menu is solid. Lots to choose from regardless if you like meat, veggies, fish. Our meals came out solid. I grabbed pictures of the menu and sent them to my fishing group, just to rub it in! I will for sure eat here later this year when I come back. If my foodie buddy doesn't want to, that will be ok. I don't mind dining alone :). And the staff here is incredibly friendly and super up-beat so a lonely burger wouldn't be so lonely. A must stop in the dinning scene in Missoula!

Kerry N.

Yelp
The negatives...you can get super friendly staff, but it's less the norm. I typically find staff tend to be less friendly, inpatient, and not very knowledgeable about what they are serving. The atmosphere is cute but very loud inside and echoey. If that's your vibe perfect, if you want to hear what your friends are saying on a busy night...good luck. The upstairs patio during summer months is fantastic and cute! The bar during more mild happy hour weekdays is enjoyable and make sure to check it out! The food is really good, I would be a regular if not for the other aspects.

Mattie Y.

Yelp
I was with my family in Missoula for one night after vacationing in Darby, Montana. Our driver recommended this place and we were not disappointed! My sister is a bit of a picky eater, so we were concerned about the small menu at first, but everything we ordered was delicious. We got the squash hummus appetizer, the mushrooms with focaccia, the cauliflower app and the curry bowl. The flavor of the curry was so amazing, we ordered a second one. It's a pretty popular place; we probably couldn't have gotten in if we had come later in the day.

Craig H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and food. The menu is fantastic and the choices are mouth watering. The servers are friendly and offer great insight in the food choices.

Tyra L.

Yelp
Don't miss the rooftop, it's so cute! We were passing through on a National Park road trip and decided to stay in town for the night. After several days of camping, hiking, and camp or quick food I was ready for something fresh. Plonk did not disappoint. We knew we wanted to sit outside so we seated ourselves at one of the few sidewalk tables we saw. We've never been to Missoula before so it was cool to have a street view for some people watching. The drinks were delicious. They have a nice selection of local beer, a nice wine list, and some creative cocktails. My favorite part of the entire meal was the cauliflower. This was literally the best cauliflower I've ever had. It was a bit sweet with some peaches and a delicious tangy sauce. I live so far away so I'm already trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. The scallops also tasted fresh and delicious. They were on top of a black bean and corn succotash which wasn't my thing, but was thoroughly enjoyed by my boyfriend. It wasn't until I made a trip to the bathroom and saw a staircase that I realized they had a rooftop. After we finished eating we headed up to enjoy our last drink. It is so cute up there! I kinda wish we would have known about it earlier but they were pretty busy so we probably wouldn't have found a table up there earlier anyway.

Deanna S.

Yelp
We love this place! Excellent food and drinks with great service. Any time we drive through Missoula, we stop!!

Kerri M.

Yelp
Big nope! Ridiculously overpriced. For 50$, including tip, we got 2 cocktails & a beef skewer appatizer. Appatizer consisted of 4 wooden picks w/ a slice of bread, tiny bit of meat. & a cherry tomatoe. It was laughable. Happy Hour menu looked way better than their dinner menu. Menu on their website is not what they were serving. Service was excellent!

Tedde S.

Yelp
Arrived in Missoula late on a Thursday night. Found Plonk through Yelp and decided to give it a shot. What a gem! The ambiance, the cocktails, the food and the service were way beyond our expectations. We shared a few items, the chicken Provençal stew was exceptional. It was a French Onion soup but with a chicken twist. On a cold, snowy night, it was perfect. The cauliflower and beignets were also noteworthy. Will return every time we are in Missoula.

Brandon C.

Yelp
Plonk is semi decent.... the food is only ok for the price... Also the service is quite slow and the environment is really pretentious

Cristina F.

Yelp
Overpriced and their dessert gave me the runs the next day. Won't go back. If I do it will be for a martini. Their bar looks great, the food?? not so much.

Renee W.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Missoula for years now! They always have excellent food, a really friendly staff and a tasty drink menu! I love the upstairs patio when it's warm out too.
