First of all the rooms are very comfortable, tastefully designed, clean, spacious with big windows. The small roof top sauna is one of the highlights. Unfortunately in the course of the last years the service has really deteriorated. The reserved stuff at the reception is rarely to be seen and doesn't offer much chance to ask some simple questions. The breakfast has been a big disappointment. The sleepy and indifferent stuff has reluctantly offered additional scrambled eggs and tea, as if we have asked for the best bottle of champagne or the youngest child of the employee. The restaurant and the bar seemed to be a wasted opportunity. In the past self made spread and well prepared dishes were served in a much more lively, welcoming and charming atmosphere.

My family of five stayed here in July 2015. A very modern hotel, nicely furnished, and lots of space in the suit. The hotel is located very convenient on the main pedestrian street. The rooftop terrace was excellent for post dinner drinks and family relaxation. My only suggestion for improvement is that some of the staff in the can be high strung. Other staff however were very friendly and service minded. All in all, a great place and I hope come back and stay here again

Had breakfast there. It was a really nice experience. A plentiful breakfast and great service. Couldn’t be better.

This a lovely spot to stay, with fun art all around you. The frog with binoculars looking out through the front door is lovely and the framed stick figure purporting to be the first work of the infant Rembrandt fun. Travelling with a friend we had a suite with 2 bedrooms and a spacious living-room and an enclosed winter balcony that had commanding views of main street. Exceptionally friendly staff. I would have rated it as excellent, but the evening meal we had here was disappointing - slightly overcooked Schnitzel and greasy rosti - although the super service almost made up for it. It shouldn't be a factor in whether to stay here - the accommodation is really good - as Bad Harzburg is not short of places to eat and we may have caught them on a bad day.

Vorweg sollte man wissen, dass es - anders als auf verschiedenen Plattformen beschrieben - keine Waschmaschine gibt. Zudem waren wir in der Ferienwohnung im neueren Nebengebäude. Hier gibt es keinen Zimmerservice. Eine Zwischenreinigung (inkl. frischer Handtücher etc.) gibt es nur gegen einen Aufpreis. Trotzdem hat uns die Lage und das nette Personal überzeugt. Zum Nebengebäude geht es einen kleinen Hang hoch. Man hat in der Tiefgarage einen direkten Stellplatz und eine große eigene Wohnung mit Küche und allem, was man braucht.
