Plumita Pacifica

Great place, great beach! Gary was great And the waves were awesome. I went in the rainy season and it only rained two times, both at night time, never messed up my day. Don't believe what you read. I was there for two weeks at Plumita Pacifica. Enjoyed every minute!

We had a great time at Plumita Pacifica(8/2018). Gary is super nice ex pat who loves the area and people a lot. He reminds me of a nice uncle we all have. His place has to be one of the best locations and proximities to a beach on this side of costa rica. Literally 100' to the waterline. We literally saw 4 to 5 people a day on the 1.5 Mile beach and one of them was him. The landscaping is awesome. He totally keeps up with the trees and flowers. The little park and coconut trees in front are a great break from the sun. It is in a great location for surfing, there, playa Negra, playa Avellanes. There are enough great restaurants around the area an stores within walking and/or a small drive. Lola's about 15 minutes north. You felt safe and secure there. One thing they could do there, is spend a little more time cleaning and upgrading some of the older accessories and furniture. It was nice, just needed just a little more attention. Kitty was a nice feature there, she was just like having your own house cat at times. Kitty would great you, do her own thing at times, or want some love from you. Cool. We will probably return soon. Pura vida at its best! You can’t get any closer to the ocean than here, twenty steps from the ocean at high tide. Beautiful gardens with hammock and space to relax. The apartment we rented is nicely remodeled and had super fast fiber optic internet. We had no trouble working remotely here on zoom calls and remote servers. Gary is the best host, super willing to share his knowledge about Costa Rica and Tico culture. His wife Illiana is also amazing, so kind to our children and we felt like family the whole time we stayed here. I can’t recommend a better place to spend your time, whether on holiday or relocating here. Junquillal is a magical beach full of kind people, we just absolutely loved every minute here.

As close as you can get to this fantastic, usually empty 2 mile beach.
