So many great things... go taste, touch and all the things! Highly recommend spending time looking around. I'm going to check out their classes

I came in with 2 friends and their kids , some my God children. Kathy was highly racist. It was so f'ing shocking to be so blatant about it. No one acknowledged us, however when a white couple and their children came in Kathy made sure to literally push us to the side while making racist remarks about the children with us, and proceeded to give the other couple and children a warm welcome and gifts. As we walked out she continued making remarks and we were very pleasant despite this interaction. I did however let her know that I would be giving them this review.

This place is dangerous in all the best ways possible. Last year my boyfriend bought me a new set of pots and pans there. He said I had to go back because he thought I would love it. I finally went there today and he wasn't wrong!! You can sample the oil and vinegar before you buy them. Who knew that was a thing?! I bought three kinds. Michelle was the cashier that helped us and she was so nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back!

Love their cooking classes/demonstrations. So many great options for oils and vinegars, and you can always find something fun and unique for a gift or just for yourself.

I've always loved this store - but, I recently ordered some things online for Christmas gifts, and they showed up on my doorstep the same day, with a note thanking me for my purchase. Great customer service - above and beyond to help me out. These were things I'd thought about ordering from Amazon, but this was a WAY better experience!! Thank you so much.

If only our car hadn't been so full. We were working our way across country. Now, I love to bake, and I have NO baking items in my new home. Not only did they have excellent quality items, but the color selection was magnificent!

Plum’s Cooking Company is a little gem in Sioux Falls. It is a high end kitchen store with a wide variety of kitchen tools, pots, pans, glassware, knives and small appliances. They also carry a nice selection of specialty food, sauces and spices. They have a wonderful selection of olive oils and vinegars. There is a professional kitchen and Plum’s offers cooking classes every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. They have local chefs who come in and teach the classes. Some on demonstration style, some are hands on. Sioux Falls is lucky to have such a nice store.

Yelp
We went in cold - a group of 20 people signing up for a cooking class without any other recommendation other than the fact that, "Plum's has cooking classes." One word: Awesome! Here's what we did - we learned how to make appetizers and main courses...and were given the recipes to take home. Our group is extraordinarily well-traveled and well-fed (foodies)...to a person, the response was highly positive. The chef is a natural; explaining the how's, why's and what's to every step and process. Of course, we got to sample the finished products - excellent. This should be noted - Plum's sells higher to high-end kitchen ware and their classroom is in the middle of it all. The only cross-marketing done was handing us a coupon for later use...our crowd appreciated the fact that Plum's was focused on the class and not the sale. Five stars - flawless evening.

Yelp
They have cool spices and rubs for sale that we love. They need to have more baking classes though and have more home bakers and not just cooks in there too so we can show what and how to bake regular home goods. They do have other fun stuff in there too and it would be a great place open a restaurant for take away food or a sushi bar for people downtown.

Yelp
Was part of the group as noted in review above and I agree completely! The staff was friendly and accommodating; which doesn't even begin to describe how efficient and most importantly, accomplished they are in presentation of the classes and in the preparation of the various courses. They were very patient with all of our questions and comments; always ready to show little tricks of the trade to garner even greater interest in the process. The biggest compliment I can offer them is that other members of the group wanted to assure that this would become an annual event. Even though they do sell in their store many of the wares that were used during the evening, there was never any excessive marketing to their "cause". It was truly all about fun in preparing and sharing different ideas and recipes. Highly recommend.
