Plumtree Lodge

Plumtree Lodge is a top-quality guesthouse located a residential neighbourhood at a busy road. The guesthouse is family owned & managed and offers 16 rooms, a nice breakfast room, and a charming garden with pool. Furnishings and decoration provide a very pleasant atmosphere. Complimentary parking at the property. The owner is very friendly & helpful. We had a spacious room with a good queen-size bed with good bedlinen and an electric blanket (good for cold winter nights), coffee & tea facility, fridge & microwave, wardrobe & safe, desk & chair, club-chair & bench (can be turned into a bed) with coffee table, satellite-TV & airco, good WiFi, and a small patio with table & 2 chairs. The separate bathroom had washbasin, toilet, and shower. All was super clean. Windows open do not have mosquito screens. Breakfast is superb: eggs made to order, bread & toast, rolls & muffins, fresh fruit-salad & orange juice, cereals & cornflakes, yoghurts & milk, cheeses & cold-cuts, 4 jams, tea & coffee (Swiss Jura espresso machine). Plumtree Lodge is a charming & well-maintained guesthouse, and we had a most enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

First time staying here and it was so comfortable. Service is excellent. Safe and secure to sleep over in an unfamiliar town travelling alone. Highly recommend for ladies travelling solo. Wonderful guests. This is definitely my top place to stay from now on

From the moment you make contact with lodge, the communication is excellent. Your pick up from the airport, arrival at the lodge, the warmth with which you are received is truly unmatched in this industry. Whether it is Klause, Bettina or Nico, they go the extreme mile to make your stay a memorable experience. The rooms, breakfast, all facilities is fantastic. The staff is well trained and very friendly. But the star of this excellent experience has to be the sweetest, friendliest baby Amelia. Well done!

☆My room was simple and clean, with air-condition and an Eletric blanket.👌🏾 ☆My room had honest bar lists with snacks and drinks, including soft drinks and alcohol.👌🏾 ☆My room had kettle and tea 🍵👌🏾 ☆They provide free WIFI & the signal was good👌🏾 ☆The service at the kitchen was great,👌🏾 ☆The breakfast was also great 👌🏾 ☆The people were great 👌🏾. ☆They have a swimming pool 🏊🏽‍♂️ 👌🏾 ☆The yard was clean and well maintained 👌🏾 However: ▪︎There was no ironing board & iron in my room. 🤦🏾‍♂️ ▪︎They don't respond when calling them for assistance or sending them WhatsApp message they ignore you.🤦🏾‍♂️ ▪︎My room had TV 📺 but only channel 100 was playing because the DSTV was not paid.🤦🏾‍♂️ ▪︎Even though they have an electric blanket, you have to fit it in yourself in your bed 🛌 if you want it.🤦🏾‍♂️ ▪︎They only provide 1 big & 1 small towel, this disadvantages me because I had to take a shower 🚿 at night and in the morning. I wish I had 2 for the night & 2 for use in the morning.🤦🏾‍♂️

Found this little Jem of a place, rooms were great , service was friendly, b/fast was good. Will defiantly visit again for all my business trips n that area. Thanks Plumtree

Amazing service, clean rooms and good food!

Seriously one of the best lodges l have visited in a long time and I spend about 22 weeks a year in lodges all over SA. Rooms are functional and you can actually watch TV and relax. Food is absolutely Amazing. Beautiful setting and clean premises. Great Management and staff.

My family and I stayed at Plumtree Lodge for 3 weeks. Service was excellent. Rooms cleaned every day. Clean towels every day. Washing and ironing done on request (every other day for us). Our maid, Farada, was amazing with my 2 year old granddaughter as well. Bettina and Nico are great hosts. Nico, at late notice, drove us to johannesburg airport - thank you so much for that. I would highly recommend staying here.
