The 10 Best Hostels in Prague (Updated 2025)

"I like PLUS Prague especially in summer for its huge outdoor courtyard, free pool and sauna, large common area/dining hall, on-site restaurant, and spacious rooms — it feels like a nicer, mini-motel for travelers and is very social, which made it a place where I still talk to people I met there." - Matthew Kepnes

I loved the hostel — the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I’d just add that I got the top bunk, and there was no outlet up there to charge my phone. Other than that, everything was perfect. I’d definitely come back again.

Hostel rooms are a bit worse for wear, I stayed in a 4 bed room and the bunks were pretty rickety. The service was amazing, and more than made up for it! Everyone was accomodating, and their pool+ sauna were amazing ways to relax after long days walking. Additionally, the breakfast buffet was fantastic, with a great variety of foods.

Ivy was very helpful all throughout our stay. The place is huge, 3 floors, has a swimming pool, sauna, fitness center, common area, vending machines, everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend!

Its a decent hotel, rooms are converted from a industrial building with floor tiles. Bathrooms are 4 stars, everything works. AC would me more than appreciated...we ware at the end of an August and it was super hot (rooms from the steet side). Big plus for the sauna and a pool. Breakfast decent.

Pool table, pool, sauna, beach volley, great start! Friendly staff, special shout-out to Nigel, he was really really helpful and kind on multiple occasions and great service! Had a good time, would recommend checking it out, great value for money comfortable beds, decent facilities, easy access to the city close to transport. Enjoy your stay

It’s difficult to rate a hotel because everyone’s requirements are different. This is a cheap hostel outside of the city centre, it’s not a 5star hotel next to Charles bridge! Location is fine, just a short tram ride away. Staff friendly and reception is 24 hrs I think. It’s massive there are 327 rooms so over 1000 beds but it does not feel it, it’s not crowded and we were there in august! It has a pleasant thrum of people coming and going. There is a small swimming pool and a sauna. It has everything you need really, they have baggage room and serve breakfast. Quiet safe neighbourhood, private parking.

I’m very disappointed with our stay. The room was dirty, and we found bedbugs, which is completely unacceptable. The cleanliness was clearly not a priority, and to make matters worse, we discovered foreign objects in our food. This hotel does not meet even basic hygiene standards. Avoid it!🤢

Rooms are OK. They are clean (if you don't check behind the beds), but they don't have a fridge and they heat up EXTREMELY during the summer, it gets uncomfortably hot. The staff is amazing, helpful and always available, no problems with getting more bathroom supplies. The hotel is 5m from a nice park on the bank of the Vitava river. The metro is 30min away on foot. The tram is 3min away on foot The neighbourhood is quirky and there are some sites to see. The prices are amaizing. It's better in autumn or spring just because of the heat.

Yelp
Plus Prague was a great place to call 'home' during a two-night stay here with my Contiki group. As the hostel was just blocks from a train station, it was easy to get into city center. The bar and outdoor lounge was great, with tons of seating for group hangs. The pool table was old, the sticks were worn down, but still much appreciated - something fun to do on a chill night in! The hostel bar was stocked with a full liquor list, and there was even live music one night. The included breakfast was a huge buffet of tasty options, including a variety of hot teas. The inside reception lounge was nice, and hostel staff was friendly. We had a nice big room (quad), though the bathroom was teeny as expected!

Yelp
Such a nice hostel. Friends and I got a private, four-person room with out own bathroom. It is ginormous and has a college dorm feel with friendly staff (sort of like RAs). The disadvantage of staying here was the locations. It isn't near the city center, but as long as you wake up early enough to start your day, it'll be fine. There was also a pool and sauna that we didn't get the chance to take advantage of. I would suggest exchanging money elsewhere because the rate isn't that great (shop around).

Yelp
Plus Prague is really nice. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5/5 is the location which is a little sketchy. It's pretty far out of the city centre in an area of town that you don't want to walk around in at night. Besides that it's a great hostel.
