Pluscamp Saltstraumen Camping

Used as a stopover for the ferry from Bodo to Moskenes. Arrived without a booking, late afternoon. Friendly reception with good English spoken. Picked our own pitch which all have a decking area. Superb facilities with good hot water and a lovely warm kitchen. We walked over the bridge to see the tidal currents. Quite impressive. We couldn’t book a crossing so drove to the port to wait in line. 5 hours! Ho hum!

The tent area isn’t especially cozy or charming, but at least it was easy to find a space. The camping itself is pretty large with a variety of rooms and cabins of all sizes, plus plenty room for RV’s. |The combined toilets and showers were not gender specific, but they were clean and offered good privacy. |The location is superbe, and this is the right place to stay if you want to stay close to Saltstrømmen! The maelstrom is only a few minutes walk away, and there’s a very good grocery store (Prix) right on the other side of the bridge. |NB: Be mindful of the seagulls, they scream all night so a set of ear plugs might come in handy, especially if you’re sleeping in a tent.

The price/quality ratio was not good. The lack of a freezer compartment was the smallest problem. 2 bedrooms with "children's" bunk beds. It's hard to even get to the lowest bed. The window in the second bedroom wouldn't close. I covered the window with a pillow for the night. The thermostat was set to +50C when I arrived. In the summer, the seagulls are annoying. Plus: The price includes bed linen.

Great place near Saltstraumen, quiet and peaceful with the possibility of going for walks. Saltstraumen is a fascinating sight at the right times when the current is at its strongest! Recommend a trip here!

I come here with a motorhome. It was easy to check in, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The environment was clean and comfortable. All the facilities were well-maintained, with very clean toilets, washing machines, dryers, and a kitchen. Extremely satisfied!

Which room i rent. it is small in side has 4 bed 🛌 but i don't understand how room can be without pillow and blanket. This is anormal. This room cost 75 euros. We and shower room very clean kitchen too

Very expensive 500 nok for One night waste water next to drink water and chemical toilet 🪠 I say no more wi Fi IT must have been Windy no connection.for 500 nok I expect a bit more. Go back sorry No.

We stayed here with our tent and a car. The staff was welcoming. They have a tent area with electricity and one without. The one with electricity, where we stayed, is unfortunately a bit uneven and on a slight slope. But it was ok. Facilities are in very good shape and clean. There are a lot of places for camper mobiles as well. These are quite spacious and each have a wooden veranda.
