Plymouth Naval Memorial

A very striking memorial, so many names. I would suggest to anyone who is researching a relative that they look on the Commonwealth war graves website to find out if and where the name they are looking for is commemorated.

A beautiful day out in Plymouth. Lots of little places and shops hidden away so you are encouraged to use your eyes and explore. My interests are many and varied so I could spend more than a day exploring this famous harbour.

The Memorials is situated in a large open space on the Hoe directly overlooking the spectacular view of Plymouth Sound Must-visit Memorials to pay your respect and give thanks.

It's a lovely place to hangout. There is a lot of grass around everywhere to relax under the sun and take in fresh air. Free entry. Close to the sea. Completely surrounded by nature. Walkable from the city center.

Superb spot for a walk. Easy parking for disabled. Nearby cafe with loos. Naval shipping coming and going. Brittany Ferru putting on an appearance. England's history in front of your very eyes!
