The most beautiful and serene getaway. The river is breathtaking! Beautiful crystal clear stream providing the most soothing sounds throughout the entire resort. The food was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality ingredients and unique flavors that will have you asking for the recipe! (They also offer tasty vegan and vegetarian options.) Outdoor and indoor dining experience. Staff was very friendly, accessible and helpful. Perfect place to detach and detox. The low cellular reception there will force you to be present and take in all the beauty around you. I highly recommend for nature lovers, spiritual enthusiasts, detoxing, detaching and/or to simply experience one of the most beautiful and tranquil places in Northern California.

I had an amazing time at the Pneuma retreat center during my last visit this past December. The center is nestled at the end of a long winding road, with the land so well protected, both by its placement within the landscape, as well as by the caretakers of the center. I really appreciated feeling so secure and held within the land, with no worries, so that I could focus solely on my own peace and meditation. What a beautifully healing place! There is plenty of beautiful, secluded hiking within the forest of pines and cedars, and a cleansing, crystalline river flows through the land. The accommodations were simple, clean, and very comfortable, warm and cozy. Just what I needed to replenish. I so look forward to returning to this magical place within the energetic field of the great Mount Shasta.

Completely forgot everything after reaching here and the nature is mesmerizing. Amazing place and awesome hospitality by all the staffs. They are helping us with smiling faces. I would highly recommend for group programs & spiritual retreat sessions.

I have been coming to the Pneuma Retreat center for over 15 years, and my most recent visit was yet another extraordinary experience. The beauty of the land, the stillness and seclusion, the constant presence of the river singing its way home, all contributes to an atmosphere of healing, renewal, and the perfect remedy for our busy, modern, tech stimulated lives. I love the simplicity and coziness of the cabins and rooms, it feels like a space where I can truly focus on self reflection and rest, without all the distractions. All the staff are welcoming and warm, and it always feels like coming home when I arrive, and I am always sad to leave when the time comes to return to the outside world. I highly recommend you join an upcoming retreat or host your own!

Pneuma retreat center is a gem. It was my first visit to Mt. Shasta and I stayed with a large group in this location. If you are a nature lover this is a beautiful place to be with comfortable amenities. My highlights are the gorgeous stream that runs through the center, the kind staff members that were so gracious - a special call out to the kitchen staff - and the delicious and healthy food they served. We all left wanting to know the recipes for many of their dishes. Really hoping they’ll do a recipe book :)

Awesome sacred place that invites you to forget about everyday worries and delve into your heart just by the mere contact with nature. Waking up at dawn definitely is an exquisite mystical experience and at night looking at the intensity of the stars that glow in the dark makes you feel loved and brings deep longing to be in peace. Stewart Mineral Springs is a magical piece of land full of life that is perfect for retreats, yoga, meditation or personal and family holidays. I have been coming for over a decade now and I just love it more and more. The new owners are very friendly and trying hard to make the place more beautiful and comfortable. I can see all the improvements they have done, like the treatment and care of the forest around the property, so needed. They truly love the land and think of it as a sacred living being. The cleanliness of the rooms has improved tremendously since I started to come, and the food at the café when I have done catered retreats has been amazing. If you come as a group make sure to ask for the chef Marion, she does delicious meals that will fill your tummies and hearts. The bath house is what made Stuart Mineral Springs famous for the healing properties of the water, a true gift from Mother Earth. People with sensitive skin must take care but even to soak for a few minutes will make a difference on your health. The icy cold river plunge is a challenge but if you are brave enough and do it you'll have an intense invigorating experience and don't forget to relax in the traditional wood stove sauna that only gets better if you add a massage. There are some aesthetic elements that could be improved upon but it doesn't take away from the sanctuary that Stewart Mineral Springs has become for me and my family. I highly recommend enjoying a getaway weekend, a family vacation or partake in a group retreat... I've done them all and loved them!!! I just booked a family trip for this coming spring and I cannot wait to see all the new things that I will find all over the property.

This is one of those places that I can return and return. The energy, the beauty of nature, the service, food, lodging. Everything is nice. Ideal for a retreat. Besides all this, in the surroundings you can find beautiful lakes, trails, waterfalls, such beautiful places you can visit during your stay.I have been many times and I will come back many more! Completely recommended!

There are few places on earth where you can enter so deeply into the silent embrace of nature while still enjoying the comforts of a cozy bed. Every time I have come to this place I leave feeling renewed, rebalanced, and reminded of what is most important. The song of the river soothes and calms my nerves, icy plunges in winter awaken the inner fire, rushing and surging cleansing in spring, and in the heat of summer a crystal clear place to cool off and let go. My most recent visit was no exception, and the solace I find walking the trails and quiet pathways here will forever be written in my heart. Thank you for taking such care of this sacred place, and welcoming us in with open arms.

Yelp
Pneuma Retreat Center is a beautiful secluded retreat center in a beautiful valley near Mt. Shasta. We have been to several retreats at this location and have enjoyed every one. The staff are friendly and helpful. The tranquility and peace you can find here is beyond any other place I have visited. This is a mountain retreat so the accommodations fit that atmosphere. There are no TVs or phones and cell service is limited which truly allows for a true retreat from modern day technology. There are several beautiful nature walks and bridges on property and a river runs right through the heart of the property. You can hear the river from most accommodations on property.

Yelp
I wish I could give Pneuma Retreat Center a negative 5 stars. Please know, I'm not BIG on writing reviews. I do not have fun criticizing people or their businesses because I consider myself an understanding and forward moving type of person, but I really do not want ANYBODY to go through what we went through with this highly unprofessional and inconsiderate business. For 4 months Pneuma and my organization were on track to host our 5th annual retreat. We typically have 25-30 in attendance. Months prior to every retreat, I make it a point to visit the site to visualize and conceptualize our time together. We noticed some things that could work and emailed a few questions for consideration upon our return. When it took them ten days to return our emails and we recognize they did not take monies out of our account for the 2nd deposit, we were concerned. Pneuma Center pulled out of our contract stating without a real explanation there is to be NO smoking weed or drinking alcohol, among other lame reasons and said we wouldn't be a good fit. So, now 4 months before our retreat we have to find another place or cancel a retreat that has been publicized for 5 months. I AM LIVID!!!!!!!!!! They hid behind their computers without talking to us on the phone and ignored many messages. I'm wondering if they have anything against Black people; maybe because I had an orange jacket on and their community believes the color orange is of the devil; maybe we were so happy to be there they thought we were high and drunk. I'm VERY confused and frustrated and pissed OFF!!!! DO NOT have an event here. Spend your money elsewhere! It's void of Spirit, void of professionalism and I'm not sure they even respect the sacred land upon which it sits. I'm sure Spirit has something else planned for us but I really did not need this fierce lump in my chest and 25 ppl in the lurch because they could not clearly communicate maturely and professionally. I only pray the Spirit of the Ancestors open their hearts to understand and respect others more so they celebrate completely in such a magical place! Siiiiiigghhh
