"Po’ Boy Quarter, Fitzroy by Vertigo. Po' Boy Quarter is an eatery serving traditional New Orleans fare and not the place to visit if you're on a diet. Its interior channels a 1930s Louisiana vibe and features original New Orleans street tiles out the front. Po' Boy is the only place in Melbourne dedicated to its traditional New Orleans namesake — meat or fried seafood on a French baguette. Afterwards, step into Huey Long's, a bar at the back with an extensive beer list and stellar Bloody Marys."

Very rich and flavourful meal!!! But I was there during the day time so there’s not so much of vibe. The food still is excellent but it’s not a place for first date coz you’re gonna make a mess out of yourself... the kitchen is too generous with their sauces... haha...

The fillings in the sandwich are great but the sandwiches are a little on the dry side. The Mac and cheese croquettes and the anandouille are both tasty!

We had a po-boy for lunch here a few weeks ago. The place was fantastic. I am from New Orleans & this place made me feel right at home! Excellent Shrimp Po-Boy...plenty of shrimp & the bread was out standing. Going to have a make it back for the Gumbo!

Southern fried chicken po boy was freaken amazing. Will be ordering from here again! Update 2 weeks later: have since ordered the mac n cheese croquettes and a beef brisket po boy. Still a 5! must try food (albeit bad on the stomach fat)

The staff are incredibly nice and attentive, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. Good beer selection. However for those not accustomed to Louisiana style food, the level of salt can be overpowering across most dishes, particularly the burnt ends po boy. Make sure you have a beer or cider to chase with, or something sweet to finish with. The chicken wings are delicious. Good for groups.

My wife and I dined here last night. I love the southern charm of the venue and its staff. We had the $45 mixed plate and it didn't disappoint. All the meat was so moist and flavoursome and the sides of corn bread, fries and especially the croquettes, mouthwatering. Had a Hurricane cocktail and at $10 a pop, a bargain. The chef said he couldn't make his gumbo that evening so we're definitely coming back to taste. Thanks again guys, best food.

The staff are really nice and attentive, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. Good drink selection. If you have never had Louisiana food just be aware that they use a LOT of salt and its very overpowering. The popcorn shrimp was good but very overpriced. The Gumbo for me was inedible because of the saltiness.
