PO'BOYS BBQ

This was a fantastic experience. I was totally taken by surprise, considering all aspects: food quality and portion size, service, and atmosphere. Two grown-up adults were fighting to finish the sampler, which was indeed an incredible dish. Overall, it is definitely a 5+ restaurant.

While the price increase (~12%) between our last visit in late Nov and recent visit in Jan can be understood, the amount and quality of food going downhill was quite disappointing. We ordered the same sampler during the two visits as it was amazing the first time around but not only the quantity went smaller in our recent visit, the meat was not of the same good quality (e.g. three small pieces of very lean/dry meat being brisket???). Sad to see consistency isn’t a thing with them - Putting an end to it, won’t go back with this price and this quality of food anymore unfortunately.

Excellent service. Very nice, cozy atmosphere. The burgers are excellent. Among the 2 best in Athens. I highly recommend it.

I’m from Oklahoma, so when I saw they had an Onion Smash Burger, I had to try it. It was delicious and better than some I’ve had back home. The beef is high quality so I heartily recommend any of the burgers. The coleslaw was a surprise, better than many I’ve had. I finished with a soft serve cone, which tasted like the many I had as a child.

Cool retro American Diner vibes. Portion sizes were generous, the chicken wings were pretty nice. However the brisket didn’t live up to expectations - It wasn’t the best cut, was pretty greasy and fatty and honestly left me feeling quite sick - could have just been a one off however. Additionally the food was fairly pricey for what we got. The service was good, with really friendly and attentive waitresses.

The food is great and there are a lot of different options to choose from!

Great burgers, big quantities and very tasty sides. We had a pineapple cocktail that was okeish and fries were mediocre but everything else was top notch, good quality and delicious. Highly recommended!
