We didn’t really pre-booked the wine tour but amazingly we found pocas on google and found out they accomodate walk ins. We are so glad we came here, we were lucky to get Cindy as our tour guide. Her fascination and enthusiasm on wine is infectious. She has a deep knowledge of what her job is and that is very commendable. We did the douro and port experience tasting and everything tasted superb. We ended up buying bottles of the Lagrima, Tawny 10 and 20 years old. These wines tastes so good with portoguese cheeses and cold cuts. It was such an amazing experience. Highly recommended to come visit this winery when in porto :)

One of the best moments of our short trip in Porto! I will have no hesitation to recommend to everyone. From outside you dont get a feeling of the size of the place but Inside is huge! We got a “guided tour & tasting”. I am happy with all the wines I tasted but my personal favorite was the Tawny Port (20 years). After our visit, it was easy 20 min walk down towards Douro river for a really nice view of the river and bridge Ponte Luis.

We had a great tour. Our tour guide, Cindy, was funny, passionate, and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with verve. She introduced us to their ports, which are 100% Portuguese owned by the same family for four generations, and takes pride that every ingredient and all the effort to make the product is from Portugal. They're made in the Douro Valley, which we're visiting on Saturday. And she talked us through the process of making port and the varieties, white, ruby (including vintage and late bottle vintage), and tawny (including the high end single-harvest bottling, colheita). We particularly loved the 1996 Colheita (which we sampled as part of the Golden Years Poças Port tour), and found it complex and nutty. Really happy we did this!

Fabulous family owned winery, rightfully proud of what they have achieved and enthusiastic about sharing their story and their wine! Four of us attended the port wine tasting with chocolate pairings and it was incredible. I would do it again.

Had a great experience at the Poças Port Wine Lodge. Wonderful guide/hostess, Fabia, led the way on our journey through the cellar and our tasting experience. One of the unique aspects was that Poças is a Portuguese owned winery, which made it a bit more authentic. I highly recommend the tour and tastings.

We had a wonderful experience at Pocas. Our tour guide was very informative and the ports are very delicious. Highly recommend this small family estate winery.

Had a great time visiting the cellars and tasting the ports at this lovely Portuguese family owned port wine lodge. The tour was informative and a nice size, our guide was lovely and we left with a smile on our faces (though the port may have helped with that). The tasting area was pretty with the barrels on display and a nice bar area to and we had a great time sampling the drinks whilst chatting to some new friends from the group. Would also recommend the sweet bites pairing as it was interesting to see how the truffles complemented each port.

The tour of the Pocas wine cellar was excellent, our tour guide was friendly, warm and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned a ton! Even better was topping it off with the wine tasting, here our tour guide turned host helped us best appreciate what was before us.
