Poças

Had a great time visiting the cellars and tasting the ports at this lovely Portuguese family owned port wine lodge. The tour was informative and a nice size, our guide was lovely and we left with a smile on our faces (though the port may have helped with that). The tasting area was pretty with the barrels on display and a nice bar area to and we had a great time sampling the drinks whilst chatting to some new friends from the group. Would also recommend the sweet bites pairing as it was interesting to see how the truffles complemented each port.

The tour of the Pocas wine cellar was excellent, our tour guide was friendly, warm and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned a ton! Even better was topping it off with the wine tasting, here our tour guide turned host helped us best appreciate what was before us.

We had the best time on this tour a tasting. Scheduled it late in the afternoon so that we could go to dinner afterwards. Port tasting on an empty stomach is risky but very fun with Luis as the guide. The length of the guided history tour was ideal for us, the off to the tasting room! I had chosen two different tastings so that we could try more wines. One tasting included their Vermouth and it STEALS THE SHOW! It’s got an elegant sweetness that is truly unique and so refreshing. Of course, we bought a bottle of it to enjoy during our time in Gaia, along with chocolate truffles and some art posters. We highly recommend this tasting option when in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Filipe gave us a tour in English. It was great!! And tasting of different port wines and vermouth. Our tour was very intimate, only 4 people. Filipe answered all our questions and even took pictures of us

We had a very nice tour with Fabia. She explained a lot about Poças and answered all the questions we had. Great place for a tour and tasting.

Had an amazing tour. Cindy was our guide and she was really open to answer all the questions of the group. Very interesting and fun to visit Poças when you are in Porto. I definitely recommend it 👏🏼🇵🇹

What a wonderful find! Engaging people, beautiful facility, very interesting and informative tour, and, of course, the port! The white port is amazing!! We are taking several bottles (and more great memories) home with us because we can't get it back home. They even arranged to drop it off at our hotel! Can't recommend high enough. If you only can visit one port lodge, this is the one!

Fabia was fabulous- very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions We enjoyed the tour and loved the tasting - we bought the extra cheese platter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend
