"Go Crazy for Burgers Do it simple; do it well. For 18 years Poco Loco has specialized in one thing: scrumptious hamburgers. From chicken to veal and from veggie to traditional, this small restaurant's burgers lure locals and tourists alike looking for a hearty, but economical meal. Thefries-stuffed sandwiches and burgerswill refuel any weary limbs after a day on the slopes. All burgers are rich in flavor, and some, like the spicy option, pack quite a punch. Agood strategy here is to grab one to go and then devour it in the midst of magical Alpine surroundings."

I had the Spicy Kili and it was perfect. It is one of the best burgers I’ve had. What’s special about the burger here is the bread. It’s not your regular soft bun but a rustic/baguette type bread. The staff here are extremely friendly. When I first went there, there was a 40 minute wait time for your burger to be ready and no seats were available. So I skipped and returned the following day and was able to sit and dine immediately.

Burgers were amazing! Fries were crispy and delicious 😋 We tried the hashbrown burgers, spicy and hot. They were humongous with a fresh baked bun that was good enough to eat alone. I would have liked to buy a dozen to take home. If you like a burger, dont miss this place. Its perfect for hungry TMB hikers.

My family ate here all 3 days living in Chamonix. The burgers are tasty with unique and fresh bread. The owner says that the bread a fresh. They made them everyday in the early morning. The special of Poco Loco burgers are crunchy bread, that is different from soft breads of other burgers. It reminds me of “bánh mì” from Vietnam. The price is reasonable. The staffs are very friendly. The restaurant is very small and hot during summer. You can only eat in from 18.00. But I see most people eat outside or take away. The only minus point is about the kid menu. The first day, 5 pieces of fried chicken. The second day, 3 pieces. The third day, 2 pieces. That’s really weird! I highly recommend Poco Loco. My favorites are burgers Atlas and Latino. Chicken burger are better than beef burgers.

Google
Top quality burgers in Chamonix. It may be busy but it is worth the wait. It can get a bit cramped waiting in line when busy and gets busy outside with people waiting to collect their orders and standing eating there food. Great choice on menu.

Google
This place was a total vibe. Right on the main road of Chamonix and a great spot. The bread for the burgers were soooooo good! There is definitely a wait if you get there later in the night, but it was super worth it. We got this meal multiple times because the sandwiches were that flavorful. The staff is super young and highly energetic. The upstairs seating is just great pub style seating and fun. You can hang out outside and drink there as well. The food is well priced and filling. I would highly recommend this spot!

Google
Tiny spot for burgers and crepes to take away, although, I think they have some seating inside. I made a mistake to take the heaviest burger- double patty, hashbrown, reblochon. It was great, but too much for me. Girls behind the counter are lovely, great service.

Google
Excellent double hamburger with Gruyère cheese and bacon. Fresh roll and excellent quality beef. They also have sandwiches they two buddies had which were really good. Highly recommend!

Google
Lots of vegetarian options. I opted for crepes. Interesting and delicious combo with goat cheese, hash browns, honey and almond flakes. Well priced, too. Quick service.

Their smash burgers were delicious freshly made and full of flavor. Staff and crowd were friendly and you sit upstairs. Affordable in a very expensive city Simple and delicious

Yelp
First off the bat, this place is cramped! The ordering area and entrance way is so small that it's hard to get through when there are a lot of people, to the point where if you're not eating in, you just wait outside until your food is ready. That being said, the burgers here are really good! We tried: The hash brown poco loco - this burger was so hefty! But also pretty decent. The hash brown made it stand out, so if you get the regular poco loco, I assume you get a pretty standard burger. Definitely not bad but nothing special in terms on ingredients. However, I really liked the bun! The outside was thicker and crispy without feeling stale. And the inside of the bun was still soft! Frenchie - this burger was my personal favorite of the two. Same compliments for the bun, but I loved the combination of the cheese and honey for the toppings. It was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The fries and onion rings were both really good as well. The fries were really crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and salted generously. And the onion rings were pretty typical. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was how long our order took just because we were waiting on the fries which took forever. But they ended up upgrading our fries to a medium for the trouble, so no complaints here!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but I thought it was just ok. First, the ordering area is so tight that if there are people walking in behind you, it will be a tight squeeze trying to walk out. After placing my order, it took 30 minutes for my order to be ready. First off, the fries are pretty good. It was hot and crispy and were big like chips and not the typical French fries you see at a McDonalds or something. My biggest complaint is the size of the bread ratio to the meat they give you. Holy cow!!! That's a lot of bread. I wish they had given you more meet so that every bite had meat in it and you are not just eating bread. The meat was also on the dry side. I would still pick this place over McDonalds that's close by.

Yelp
100% the best burger shop in town. We ate at 3 different burger restaurants in Chamonix. I highly recommend the Smash Burger. Was the best of 4 different burgers we got.

Yelp
A burger as big as your face, or my face to be more impressive. Poco Loco Burger in Chamonix is a must stop for delicious burgers and lively atmosphere. There are many fine dining restaurants in town, but I don't know if I was any more satisfied with a meal in Chamonix than at Poco Loco. The burgers are freshly made to order, you can go small (not really small) or go big with everything on it. I didn't try the chicken sandwiches, but got the regular Poco Loco, H Poco Loco, Cheese and the Smash Burger. Each was absolutely fresh and delicious. Added fries, calamari and mozzarella sticks for extra calories. Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop at Poco Loco when in Chamonix. Easy to find in the middle of town. After skiing I couldn't think of a better place to satisfy your hunger. Top things to do in Chamonix: Aiguillé Di Midi, QC Terme Chamonix, Poco Loco and of course Ski!

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! Loved the laid back feel! And the service was the friendliest in Chamonix!

Yelp
Only place that I could find a seat @1:15 on marathon Saturday. Ordered the Chèvre salad which was very good. I was craving a salad. So tired of eating potatoes!! Order at window and they bring it out quickly.

Yelp
best burger place, HAND DOWN anywhere in europe! home made cut fries to boot. Lines are crazy but quickly learned can put in an order and they are pretty accurate on when to come back. kind of a mix of 'french bread' smash burger along with their own unique sauce. not to mention, given that town, well priced for a casual meal.

Yelp
Poco Loco is very POCO. Tiny place that sells burgers, fries and crepes among other items. The seating area in the top level is tiny might carry 20 max. Must order food downstairs first before getting seated upstairs. I went with the American burger and my wife went with the cheese burger with a side of fries. Thought the burger bun was hard and took away from the enjoyment. Even though we ordered the big size of the burger thought the amount meat didn't match the proportion of the bun. Felt more bun than burger. The onion rings was average. Overall thought it's not worth eating in Poco Loco. If I'm going to eat junk food I would hope it tastes amazing so that I feel less guilty for eating unhealthy. Here are my ratings: American: 7/10 Onion rings: 6/10

Yelp
One of the most deliciously amazeballs "burgers" I have ever shoveled with love into my face. The New Hashbrown Gourmet layers (2 or 3) hash browns with bacon, camembert, honey, and herbs. No patty, just FYI. Maybe it was the 125K of trail running but I could have ordered and eaten another right after. It's decadent and swoon worthy.

Yelp
One of the best food and value in Chamonix. Not to be missed! The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. So good! Place is tiny with only two tables outside. There's more seating upstairs but we chose the bar stools outside for people watching and fresh alpine air.

Yelp
When in Chamonix, there are so many options ... this is a really fun burger and fry joint that has a great selection of beer - the tables are set for conversations shared by all - nice place for lunch !

Yelp
My wife and I made a day trip to Chamonix from Geneva and stopped in for lunch. Let me say this, we would have done this trip just to come eat at Poco Loco. We both got burgers that were out of this world. I would recommend trying the hash burger. Also, grab a bottle of the local Brasserie du Mont Blanc blonde to top it off.

Yelp
Great burgers at affordable prices Try the hash browns burger served with sweet honey

Yelp
I guess I'm not sure what all the hype is about. Maybe we ordered the wrong type of burgers (Annapurna and Everest)? My sandwich was absolutely smothered with mayonnaise and all I could taste was the fries in the sandwich. So I ended up picking out half the fries and then I could actually taste the chicken (well-flavored, but drowned out by too much mayo). Cash only and it's a very small, cozy place. It's also relatively cheap by Chamonix standards and has a small but good selection of beer. Overall... it was fine, but you're not going to find the best burger of your life here.

Yelp
My favorite meal in Chamonix: this is a ski-town joint, no white linens to be seen, just greasy and delicious calories to replace what you burned on the slopes. We had dinner pretty early, and I'm glad we did since there are only about 20 seats in the place, all in a narrow hallway upstairs. Order at the bar (food and beer), then take your beer (you didn't order one? why not? get the Kronenbourg!) upstairs and grab or stalk a table. Camp out until your food arrives, then inhale it. The bread is a great little roll, similar to a what you would call a kaiser roll in the US, but better than what you'd get in the US because the French don't f-around when it comes to bread. they take that stuff seriously. Each burger comes with a couple little patties rather than one big one, and there's no "how would you like your burger cooked?" They'll cook them the way they want and you'll like it. It's not an overly greasy patty, but it was moist enough, and combined with everything else it works just fine. Your burger is going to come with fries stuff in it (and surrounding it, no need for a side order here), unless you get the hash brown burger, which has hash browned potatoes in it instead of fries. Also freaking delicious. Either way, can't go wrong with the Poco Loco Burger. My only regret is that I didn't save room for crepes; theirs looked fantastic as we rolled our bloated bellies out the door afterwards. Don't be a fool, if you've been skiing or hiking all day get some poco loco, you've earned it.

Yelp
Great burger joint in downtown area. Reasonable price, big portion and very tasty fries. The only minus is that the meat seem from frozen patties. Overall, it's a good bargain for Chamonix tourist hot spot. They also serve crepes which are pretty good as well.

Yelp
We had been cross country skiing on the red run at the Nordic center in Chamonix for 4 hours. 11.6 km. We had burgers & crepes. The Poco Loco burger was Mont Blanc sized 300gm of meat. The savory crepes were tasty delicious for overseas visitors. Chamonixians may think we are Loco for rating this but we were hungry after the Nordic workout. Seating was upstairs & cosy. We did not sit outside as it was snowing. The hot spicy burger was spicilicious. Frenchy was sweet & cheeky to taste buds. Worth coming if you're needing energy for snowboarding. Friendly & artisan touch to America.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in town. They have the best burgers and crepes for an amazing price. We ordered Poco Loco, Everest burger, and a Strawberry Banana Crepes - oh emmm geee! I have NEVER had this good meal before in my life and the size of the meal was huge. It's definitely bang for the buck! the staff is super friendly and the decor is to die for. This was a true "hole in the wall" experience for us! I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
If you want to eat for less than €10 in Chamonix then this your spot. First thing to note is that the food and beer selection alone is probably 3/5 but the prices and ambiance of the narrow, funky dining space upstairs elevate it to being a go-to for at least one of your nights in Cham. Trust me, you don't need the big burger.
google avatar

Xander H.

Yelp
One of my go-to spots in Chamonix. They have the best burgers, ham sandwiches, and crepes around.... and for a great price. There's also a cool atmosphere upstairs, so definitely eat inside if you have the chance. It's sometimes hard to tell where to eat in Chamonix, but I kept coming back here and highly recommend it. I can't wait to come back and ski a full day then go here for dinner.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and frites. Good value. Friendly service and staff. Always greet you with a smile. Food was so good, I went here three days in a row!

Yelp
I'm quite sure I'll still be thinking about this sandwich weeks later. It was the Hashbrown Chicken and it was amazing. Huge but so delicious. The place can get a bit crowded but it's a fun atmosphere. I highly recommend.

Yelp
This was a true "hole in the wall" experience in a beautiful mountain town. Definitely not what I expected but it was awesome nonetheless. I had a chicken burger with bacon, tomato and onions and some type of a semi-spicy mayo/mustard. It was fantastic and it had so much flavor, especially considering the price (6 euros). My girlfriend had a vegetarian garlic hashbrown burger and it was equally interesting and tasteful. Who ever thought a hashbrown on bread could taste that good? The fries were fairly bland steak fries but nothing to complain about; at least they had huge bottles of ketchup and mayo to drown them in. The ambiance upstairs in the tiny/narrow seating area made the experience even more memorable. We shared a table with a Swedish guy who was "drinking his last beer" because he was leaving to summit Mount Blanc the next day and thought he was going die, considering he had never really climbed a mountain. Overall this was easily a 5 star experience. Good/cheap/creative food and a fun atmosphere in a cool place.

Yelp
Nice people, small place, Big beautiful French bread bun with 2 patties the size of a McD's burger. What a disappointment, followed the 'stars'...... The Jekyll and Hyde's burgers are 100% better!!!!!!! Yeah the bun is a little less but you get a nice thick burger!!!
google avatar

M M.

Yelp
Extra half star for staff efficiency and friendliness! 3.5 star. Huge buns, flavorful chicken sandwiches. French fries are boring English fish n chip style, American steak fry - not very good. Cute spot with outdoor seating and more seating upstairs.

Amy W.

Yelp
Nice easy burger place. A bit greasy, but super good! Many people who got the burger with fries in it dumped the fries out to eat vs ordering a side of fries. Small space inside to eat.

Amanda S.

Yelp
The burger is delicious!!! And very reasonably priced. So much more yummy that many of the very over priced tourist restaurants in the area that have gross food.
