Pod Wawelem Hotel

Lovely hotel excellent helpful , polite and hard working staff. The reception staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble always on hand to help. The roof top bar is a hidden gem a must if visiting. The rooms are clean, basic, but comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities available in your room but remember to bring own milk. The staff make this hotel with their hard work.

We cannot recommend Pod Wawelem enough! The location was perfect, only a 10 minute walk to the Old Town. Amazing views of the river and castle from both our room and the rooftop bar- we watched a fantastic sunset with our free prosecco welcome drink (see photo)! The staff were extremely friendly, especially Bartosz who couldn’t have been more helpful, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff even made us a packed breakfast for our early trip at 5:30am. The room we stayed in was perfect, it was cleaned everyday and we faced no problems at all. We were very pleased with our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Pod Wawelem!

Me and my daughter had a 3 night december break here. We had a lovely stay. The skyline bar is perfect to have a cocktail with a landscape view. We enjoyed this on our first night, wrapped up warm and they had blankets. Free glass of Prosecco too. The breakfast was good. The manager ensured we were comfortable and was very helpful. The only thing I would advise the hotel would be to have 2 x firmer pillows each bed. I could not get on with the oversized flat, too soft, slightly lumpy pillow. I was able to have a good night sleep by using my oversized oodie folded up as a 2nd pillow. Apart from this, the stay was great and krakow old town is amazing! Top Tip…look on tik tok for the hidden gems!! My daughter found some crackers, including piano rouge, Tag, and pizzatopia. I’d also recommend going to the camps, I organised these via “get your guide” app.

Excellent small hotel that pride themselves on customer service.|We came across three different receptionists during our stay and each of them were brilliant - making sure we had everything we needed, breakfast boxes if we were going on an early trip, and opening the restaurant to get our coffee flasks filled before leaving.||Location:|Get the 300 bus from the airport to Jubilat (takes 20-30 mins) - then its a 5 minute walk to the hotel (you can see it from the bus stop).|It's a 10 minute walk into the centre of the old town - 25 minute walk to the bus station if you are doing self organised trips.||Food:|the breakfast buffet has everything you need (cereals, pastries, cold meats/cheeses, eggs, sausages, bacon, toast, yoghurts).|I didn't eat in the ground floor restaurant other than breakfast but did eat in the Skybar. Fantastic location with brilliant views (and free prosecco vouchers when you check in). The food was good and well priced.||Rooms: |On the small side but fine for our 3 night stay. Comfy beds (reception happy to change your mattress, pillows etc if needed).|Good shower. Clean rooms. Tea and coffee facilities.||Thanks for a great stay!

Not long home from another visit to Krakow and once again stayed at Pod Wawalem. As with the last time, the staff here were absolutely superb and for which I am very grateful.||The Sky Bar is excellent and has what is surely the best view in town. The food is lovely, especially the local dishes and all very reasonably priced.||The hotel is situated on the river right by Wawel Castle and is a reasonable walking distance from everywhere.||Booked to go back again in March 2025 and looking forward to it||Thanks everyone|John

Fantastic hotel!||Great location next to the castle, a 10 minute walk to old town and around 15 minutes to the Jewish quarter. ||The staff are friendly and helpful and have a place to store luggage. ||The rooms are a bit dated and small but have everything you need. The pillows were thin but additional ones were quickly put in our rooms. ||Could not ask for more from a hotel

Just home from a 3 night stay in this hotel and can not fault it at all. Staff all very lovely and welcoming, hotel very clean and just a short walk from the old town square, I stayed here on recommendation from a friend who has also stayed here.|The roof top bar has stunning views of the castle and the river. The restaurant and bar are also top quality. Would highly recommend.|

Beautiful hotel with a stunning view, fantastic location near the river and castle and only a short walk from the stunning town center. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the sky bar was wonderful. If visiting the city, this is a very good value, clean, safe and welcoming place to stay.

Rooms are fair, couldn't get the air conditioner to work. Front Desk associates are fantastic and very helpful. The sauna at the hotel was relaxing, clean and secure. Pillows were comfortable and beds fairly comfortable.
