PODERE SAN LORENZO - Boutique Hotel - Villa Tuscany

This place is a hidden gem. My aunt and I came for 2 cooking classes with my daughters. They spoke English beautifully and the class was exceptional. The food was to die for and all freshly picked from their organic garden. Then we ate the meal, with of course their wine. We were in heaven. The best meals we ate all week in Tuscany. The view from this villa is beautiful, I will be returning to stay as it is really a hidden treasure.

My fiance and I could not have been happier with our stay at this B&B. We stayed for three nights in early June, and it was the perfect spot. Amazing views, comfortable apartment in the ancient, original (but renovated) villa, and the location is about a 3 or 4 minute drive from the center of Volterra. We stayed an extra night here because we loved it so much. The owner was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was modest but delicious. They offer cooked-to-order eggs to those who want them in the morning. (Note: breakfast was not included, it was about 10 euro a person per day, but the convenience was worth it for us.) Ask the owner for local restaurant suggestions! She knows all the hidden gems. If we go back to Volterra one day, we will stay here again.

We were here in September 2013 for our wedding engagement trip and absolutely loved it. The lodging, food, cooking classes and scenery were just simply perfect. We hope to get back there. Thx Marinella for a great experience.

We booked an Italian cookery class here for one afternoon/evening and it was wonderful! We made pasta from scratch, a main course of meet and dessert and ate it all afterwards with wine and other drinks included. You also get an apron and cookbook to take home with family recipes. Highly recommend!

It's a beautiful, tranquil area. The owners thoughtful, friendly and very helpful. An organic pool which is a great way to cool down. The whole house has history and beauty as does the surrounding area. Food is excellent too.

Very serene and beautiful views, the hosts are very friendly, warm ,welcoming and treat you right you feel right at home nice change from the city you feel like you are in another world. Would definitely come back!!!! But don't trust Google map with the directions it took us to a private residence 2Km away

6 perfect days in Tuscano. Quiet, clean and friendly. Marinella is terrific and very kind. A perfect place to stay while seeing all of the hill towns.

L'agriturismo esteriormente era molto bello, con la piscina esterna ecosostenibile, con orchidee e ranocchi in fondo sembrava una cartolina. Ma la stanza era buia, umida ed il bagno era molto piccolo. Inoltre abbiamo cenato male, la torta salata con mozzarella e senape, oppure le lasagne acquose che la besciamella sembrava yogurt, per finire la torta di carote inzuppata nel limone con la spenellata di Nutella sopra. No, meglio una trattoria attorno che mangiare lì. Dovrebbero rivedere le ricette ed i piatti che offrono. L'esterno è un pregio che viene svalutato purtroppo dal resto, inoltre è caro, non vale la pena spendere così tanto se poi ne esci insoddisfatto.
