Podstel Umbrella

It is a great hostel and I felt very comfortable there. I stayed in a mixed dorm room and it had nice beds with good storage options. I liked that each bed came with a cupboard where you could lock up valuables and room was left under the bed so that you could store other items if you wanted to have access to them easily. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed at. It's not the most comfortable or most beautiful or even best insulated hostel, but lets be honest, that's not what you came to Romania for. Friendly and helpful staff members such as Rob and Kima went above and beyond to ensure a home away from home experience. Great place to meet fellow travellers and in a perfect location in a quiet street yet right around the corner of all the best places in Bucharest. Easy to get to from the train station too.

Lovely and helpful staff, clean, safe and cosy! The hostel is located quite far from the historical centre (still reachable by foot) but in my view that is a pro. The neighbourhood of the hostel is more authentic, more quiet and less touristy. They have a really cute dog in the garden. We loved our stay here!

Amazing hostel in a beautiful building right in the center of the best part of Bucharest! Staff is super lovely, helps with anything and makes you feel right at home. The beds are super cool as well. They have a second Podstel not far away where you are welcome to join daily events (meals, cinema, concerts, work shops, skip the small talk, ..) would definitely recommend good there!

Not a bad hostel. The people were really nice and interesting. Clean and good facilities. I know has just been taken over by new owners so I would suggest the following for upgrades/renovations: * the lockers are sharp and I cut myself on them twice * the plugs attached to the beds don’t really work for the top bunk - due to the angle, travel adaptors fall out immediately * the ladders attached to the beds are far too easy to _SLAM_ against the bed. The bottom should really be attached to the bed so guests aren’t accidentally waking each other up all the time.

Podstel Umbrella exceeded expectations. The hostel's communication was fast and friendly. The check-in professional. What a welcome! The receptionist was always available to answer questions and assist where possible. I immediately felt like a valued guest. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom large enough with good water pressure in the shower. The area is safe and central. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a hostel in Bucharest. The staff is super helpful and I admired their effort in trying to keep the hostel clean. The location is good, near the main transports and within walking distance from the old town (~15min). There is a 24h open supermarket very close, which is useful. The bed and linen were confy as well. The building of the hostel is also quite beautiful.

Really nice with friendly staff! The location was really good as well. Facilities had all you needed. 4 starts instead of 5 because the walls are quite thin so at least for me it was difficult to sleep in morning if some people were awake and speaking outside our room (not to talk about people in our room, but for that I can't blame the hostel)
