Poetry Building

Our stay at Poetry Building was absolutely amazing and the perfect start to our 24-day vacation. We had the pleasure of meeting Carlos and Sol—both were wonderful, incredibly responsive, friendly, and attentive to our requests. We booked both airport and port transfers directly with them, and we honestly could not have asked for better service. Everything was seamless and stress-free. The building is currently under renovation, but it did not bother us at all—in fact, it just gives us another reason to come back and see the finished result. Our room was fantastic. We stayed in Apartment 1B on the first floor, and it was huge, with a loft and plenty of space to truly feel at home. The location is excellent—about a 10-minute walk to Recoleta Cemetery, with corner stores, restaurants, and Avenida Santa Fe all close by. Poetry Building became our home base for several day trips, including Iguazú, Colonia del Sacramento, and Tigre. While it’s slightly outside the major tourist areas, it’s very walkable. We averaged 35,000 to 40,000 steps a day—one great way to burn off all the Aperol Spritz and delicious Argentine food! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Poetry Building.

We absolutely loved our 10-day stay at the Poetry Building. Our spacious, beautifully decorated apartment was perfect for our family—especially since my husband and teenage daughter are very tall and we often struggle to find comfortable accommodations. The rooms were large and thoughtfully designed, and the king-size bed was the most comfortable we’ve had while traveling. Our daughter adored her loft with its cozy queen bed and finally got the deep, restorative sleep she needed after a demanding semester abroad.||The kitchen was well equipped, making breakfasts easy, and we appreciated having a fruit stand and grocery store just around the corner. The air conditioning worked great too.||The staff truly went above and beyond. Our apartment was spotless, laundry was returned the same day, and communication via email and WhatsApp was always quick and friendly. They happily made restaurant reservations and shared wonderful local recommendations. Sol, Noelí, and Carlos were especially warm and helpful—we genuinely felt at home.||After a trip to Patagonia, returning “home” to the Poetry Building was such a comfort. We loved the charming Recoleta neighborhood and its many great restaurants, and we never felt like tourists—just welcomed guests. There was construction happening during our stay, but as we were out and about most of the time during the 8 am - 6 pm window, it did not bother us. ||We can’t recommend the Poetry Building highly enough. It was the perfect home away from home in Buenos Aires.

This was the best boutique hotel experience I have ever had. I rarely write reviews but was so impressed by our stay here I asked the best way to share my experience! The incredible location aside, the staff was the true standout. They went above and beyond to help us (especially Sol!) make our time in BA wonderful. Their English is perfect and, in addition to being incredible accommodating to all our hotel related requests, helped us make appointments/reservations in Spanish. We loved the apartment style room, which also had a quaint terrace that I worked remotely from (it was so nice). This place is the opposite of a sterile/mega chain hotel and they actually care about their guests - I will definitely be coming back!

We stayed at the Poetry Building for 2 weeks in October, when extensive renovations were taking place. We were well aware of this before we arrived and Poetry was decent enough to offer a discount for the inconvenience. We were in 4B and there were some work noise above us but they didn’t start too early and ended by 5pm. We were out exploring most of the time so it didn’t bother us too much and even when we stayed in, we were not too affected as it wasn't non-stop and moved around. Despite this, we loved our stay for the following reasons: Staff were amazing, so welcoming, helpful and friendly (thanks to Sol, Carlos and Neoli). The 1-bedroom apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything you need. The large bed was one of the most comfortable and we slept really well. We loved the convenience of the cleaning and laundry service, which were excellent. We managed to sit out on the balcony most days which was lovely. The location couldn't be more convenient, close to many cafes, restaurants and shops for our daily needs. It was very central for walking to most of the sights. There were a few minor quirks (no USB sockets and some door handles were a bit loose) but nothing that spoilt our stay at all. We highly recommend the Poetry Building and it should be perfect once the renovations completes next year.

I highly recommend the POETRY BUIDLING. The rooms are bight and spacious. Full kitchen amenities and good size modern bathrooms. Many have lofts and terraces and all have great living space. Once the renovations are complete, it will be even better. The people that work there are extremely accommodating and the value for the price is absolutely excellent. Both stays, I was able to get a late check out, no problem. Location is absolutely key, as everything is walkable and the Recoleta neighborhood is one of the nicest in Buenos Aires. I almost don’t wanna share how wonderful the Poetry Building is because I don’t want it to get too crowded. But I must say it was excellent and I will absolutely be back the next time I come to Buenos Aires.

Communication was seamless; they always responded quickly via email and WhatsApp, and they were happy to make restaurant reservations and offer thoughtful recommendations for experiencing the best of Buenos Aires. Sol, Noelí, and Carlos were especially wonderful—helpful, personable, and a joy to talk with. We truly felt at home. Midway through our trip we visited Patagonia, and returning “home” to the Poetry Building was such a comfort. We loved our stay at Poetry Building. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a loft room, which was absolutely stunning. The staff allowed us to hold our luggage there after check-out and even hang out in the lobby before our flight. We will definitely be staying there next time we’re in Buenos Aires!

Excellent staff. Extremely helpful, from getting transportation to and from airport. Also gave great recommendations on must see sites in town and suggestions on restaurants etc||The room is good comfortable , clean and welcoming. ||Location was great, close to a lot of tourist spots.||Really no negative comments. ||The ongoing renovations did not affect our stay.
