Poh Manis Lembongan

Hidden gem alert!!! Everything was just AMAZING! John is a wonderful host. So kind and helped us with everything and is also funny :). The resort is located a bit off road but this brings beautiful views in return. The pool has an amazing view on the other islands, and some of the rooms also have this wonderful view. Rooms were clean, restaurant is very tasty! Every morning you can order breakfast. Very nice :) Must try! Thank you John and team :)

To start with, just to come pick us up, they charged us 150,000 IDR, even though it’s not even 6 minutes away. We gave a tip because he was nice and funny at first, but the road to get to the hotel was terrible full of potholes, really horrible. The hotel… yes, the view is beautiful, that’s true. But at 3 or 4 in the morning, you hear all the roosters crowing, dogs barking, and then from 7 AM the scooters start up along with the birds. It’s impossible to sleep. You can even hear the neighbors sniffing or coughing as if they were in the same room as you. We rented a scooter for 100,000 per day. After three days, when we had finally managed to get some rest, he came to wake us up at noon to swap the scooter and give us another one. There were ants in our clothes, the shower was very difficult to use because of the poor water pressure, and the bed was fairly comfortable — thankfully, it had a mosquito net to keep the bugs away. We honestly wanted to leave the hotel, but it was non-refundable. To top it off, when we asked if he could take us to the port, he wanted to charge us another 150,000 IDR, saying that “it’s the same everywhere” and that we should be kind and help the local people. We do help a lot — we leave tips everywhere we go when it’s deserved!!! Out of curiosity, we asked a taxi we bumped into, and he told us it would only be 100,000. Seriously??? Total rip-off!!! When we went to settle the bill before leaving, he tried to double-charge us for the taxi and even added an extra day for the scooter rental! He literally tried to scam us!!! Honestly, don’t go there.

John and Komang made our stay lovely. The place was so peaceful & gardens were cared for extremely well. The breakfast included in your stay was a great add. John was always available to help you with whatever. You definitely need scooter (which John does have for hire) to stay here but other than that we would definitely return!

The hotel is placed in a very quite area with a very nice panoramic view. The rooms are nice with a good air conditioning. The staff is extremely helpful and responsive. I highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay with John and his family. Everything was just right, communication was always friendly and easy, and John was very helpful and available whenever needed. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Cannot recommend this place enough! Poh Manis is a beautiful, quiet, clean and affordable gem hidden in the hills of Lembongan.John and the staff were so helpful and accomodating.during our stay, taking the stress out of transport from ferry and throughout to convenient scooter hire from the villa itself. There’s a bar and kitchen offering complimentary breakfast each morning from 8am-10am with plenty of menu options for everyone. Our new home away from home on Lembongan!

Cottages are perfect size for a stay Swimmjng pool Restraurant had Great chef Koman is the sweetest Nasi and mie goreng delicious Pedis the best!!! They the pancakes 🤤 All the other staff. Are really sweet and helpfull And of course mr John: he really is Poh Manis 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Road is bumpy but very ok with scooter and taxi … Close to scuba Centre Asia for Great Diving Price - quality is perfect|Rent a scooter from John you are evrywhere in Lembongan and ceningan in Max 15 min

We visited Poh Manis as a more luxury stop at the end of our 2-month backpacking trip. It’s genuinely my favourite place we have stayed so far. They offer to pick you up from the harbour in a car when you arrive.||The free breakfast includes eggs and toast / pancake / or indonesian breakfast, a fresh fruit smoothie and hot drink. The coffee was really delicious and you can refill as much as you want. You have a beautiful view of the sunrise as you eat too and the chef is very good.||The room was beautiful, with lots of hot water, strong AC and extremely comfortable beds. The mosquito nets were also very effective! Soap, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and towels were provided. You can also organise laundry delivery & scooter rental at a very reasonable price (80,000 IDR / day). The grounds were beautifully kept and the swimming pool was a favourite.||The highlight was definitely the staff. All of them were so friendly, even smiling & saying hello when they recognised me in the street. John, the manager, was a star. He was super helpful and extraordinarily kind at multiple points during our stay.||Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough! I don’t usually write long reviews but this one is very well deserved.
