Amazing site. We stopped by on a Sunday morning. It turns out Sundays are free to visit. We were met by a guide who gave us an tour of the place. Climbing up the lighthouse was very cool. The views of the ocean from the top were spectacular! Great place to visit!

A gorgeous day for a lighthouse tour. Alfred is very knowledgeable and was very accommodating in giving us explanations on everything. The best lighthouse tour I have ever been on.

A must visit when in Labrador. Such a beautiful place to boondock at the nicely paved parking lot. Thank you to all Point Amour staff for the warm welcome.

Climb the 132 steps for the "point of love" (Amour means love). The top 30 steps are on two ladders. The interpreters stop every 10 stairs so it's not a difficult activity. It's a spectacular view from the 2nd tallest lighthouse in Canada! Also while climbing the tower, watch for fossils in the stone including a frog! Check out the displays on the second floor about shipwrecks, and crafts and dress up for kids.

Interesting and beautiful place. Friendly interpreter. You can climb the lighthouse with one of the guides who will have many interesting stories for you on your way up. You can try free Labrador tea. Cash only!

This is the tallest lighthouse in Atlantic Canada. We came to visit in early June and there were many icebergs and even a field of pack ice near the shores (there are some binoculars available). The lighthouse itself is interesting, with various exhibits about local history and culture (including even some natural history). There are some hands on activities, such as making a bracelet of Morse code and dressing up in vintage clothing. I liked how you can go up and see the top of the lighthouse.

We arrived at 4:15 and the staff made sure we knew they closed at 5 and could we please make our trip up the tower immediately. It is a beautiful museum and we enjoyed climbing the tower. We went into the gift shop at 4:45 and were certainly aware they were in a hurry to close. The staff were all out the driveway before we even returned to our car. We drove out around 5:05. If you are coming on the Blanc Sablon Ferry, be sure to make haste if you want to visit the lighthouse stress free.

Absolutely spectacular - the view from the tip of the lighthouse was breathtaking.
