9 Delicious Cheese Shops That Ship Nationwide

"Point Reyes landed on the cheese map in 2000 when this creamery introduced California’s only classic-style blue cheese. The award-winning peppery and pungent Original Blue remains one of the most anticipated cheeses among cheesemongers and customers when each year’s batch debuts in the fall. They ship their blue and tomme-style cheeses individually, but to sample it all, try a gift box collection, such as the Anniversary Collection or the Crowd Pleaser."

What a windy place, especially in the evenings. Stairs to the lighthouse close at 4pm. The views at the sunset is absolutely gorgeous. Winds touch your bone if you are not well protected..

It was nice, the surrounding were super clean, there were cattle crossing the road going towards the light house, and there are few beaches which are like private beach, less crowded and the light house itself was on the top and the parking was really hard to find, to get to the light house you had to walk like .5 miles but it was worth it. The light house holds lots of historical knowledge and the scenery around is out of the world, overall nice experience with family. The kids had fun. My suggestion will be as there is hike and the you have to climb up and down to get to light house were comfortable clothes and shoes and it's is freaking windy so make sure you wear jacket or so.

We made a quick pit stop at Point Reyes just to take pictures. Even in a short visit, the coastal cliffs and scenic views were stunning and made for some memorable photos. Overall Impression: Perfect for a scenic stop while exploring the area, especially if you’re short on time. Point Reyes is a must-visit for nature lovers—whether for hiking, wildlife spotting, or just soaking in the coastal beauty. It’s peaceful, rejuvenating, and offers experiences for all ages and activity levels. Tips: Dress in layers due to coastal fog and changing weather. Arrive early to enjoy trails and scenic spots with fewer crowds. Bring binoculars for wildlife viewing.

Definitely worth the effort and time. If u are lucky might also see whales. I went during lot of wind, so it was hard to differentiate and identify whales.

Terrific spot with stunning views! We arrived just in time before the stairs to the lighthouse closed for the evening. Fortunately, it wasn’t a windy or foggy day, so we were able to enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the Pacific from the lighthouse. The park ranger was also very friendly and shared some great information with our kids. A must-visit destination for a day trip from the SF Bay Area!

this is one of my favorite places to camp. the two mile hike is worth it because not many people are ever here so you basically have the whole beach to yourself.

What’s not to like about this place! Absolutely gorgeous all over! Beaches, Lighthouse, tree tunnel, tule Elks, some of the oldest farms! A lot of history hidden in this beautiful coastal gem!
