9 Delicious Cheese Shops That Ship Nationwide

"Point Reyes landed on the cheese map in 2000 when this creamery introduced California’s only classic-style blue cheese. The award-winning peppery and pungent Original Blue remains one of the most anticipated cheeses among cheesemongers and customers when each year’s batch debuts in the fall. They ship their blue and tomme-style cheeses individually, but to sample it all, try a gift box collection, such as the Anniversary Collection or the Crowd Pleaser."

What’s not to like about this place! Absolutely gorgeous all over! Beaches, Lighthouse, tree tunnel, tule Elks, some of the oldest farms! A lot of history hidden in this beautiful coastal gem!

I saved this location a couple of years ago. Today was my day and I got chance to go there. The place is heaven. Must must must visit . I was little disappointed the stairs to the lighthouse were closed. But views were stunning. The way to get to the place is really beautiful. Stunning views. This is by far the best place I have seen.

Point Reyes is a pretty lighthouse jutting out on the edge of a cliff into the ocean. The walk is 15 - 20 minutes from the car park on a wide path to the viewing area and wee information shop. From the viewing area there are 313 steep steps down to the lighthouse itself. On the way back up there are three seats strategically placed where you can catch your breath. I suggest allow 2hrs for this excursion as there are interesting information panels and history to read on the way around.

Beautiful coastal place to experience the magnificent pacific coast and the stunning views from the high mountain range. Plenty of parking space at the lot and on the roadside. Get lucky to see deers, coyotes and mountain lion. Public restrooms available in the parking lot. Take a small walk to visit the visitor center and a walk down the hill to light house. It’s a lot of steps to lighthouse. So avoid if you cannot take steps.another set of restrooms near visitor center

One the most scenic places to visit in California. During the drive you are surrounded by vistas of the ocean on one side and lush grasslands on the other. You take a shor walk down stairs to reach the lighthouse which provides incredible views.
