Google
I've been visiting Pokitrition since it opened, and I go almost every week since I work nearby. The quality of their poke bowls has remained consistently high over the years. Fresh fish is a must for me, and Pokitrition never disappoints. I love the variety of toppings and the ability to customize my bowl. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great spot for lunch or casual dinner. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking it out!

Google
I have been driving past this place for the past few months, wanting to try it. Upon entering, the employee was head down on the counter by the register appearing to be napping. Nobody was in the restaurant. He seemed tired or stoned. There was a vape plugged in behind the counter. We ordered 2 burritos. Upon further discovery, as we moved down the way, the drink cooler and counter was full of food debris, and the glass and food area was filthy. Needless to say, I wish I would've left, but I purchased our food and tossed it when we got home. I'm sorry to say that I wish this would've been a different experience.

Google
I enjoyed the Caribbean bowl, although I felt the protein quantity was a bit lacking. The taste was excellent, but it would have been even better with some added lemon or lime juices and fresh jalapeños. Despite the traditional miso being somewhat absent, the overall experience was satisfying.

Google
We visited Pokitrition for the first time today and the food was fantastic. It was the first time I have had a sushi burrito!! It was new and interesting. The fish was good as well, it tasted lean and less fatty. We will visit again soon. The only constructive criticism I would give is to allow substitutions on kids menu items. We ended up getting a small bowl for our little guy but it would have been nice to pick what was is his meal and have the smaller portion size. Thanks for the good food

Google
Set up sort of similar to the sub shops or fresh burrito chains, where you go through the line and select the content for the seaweed wrap. The seafood is fresh and there are quite a few flavourful combinations. The staff 0repares your meal quickly. They're happy to and any questions and the service is friendly. The first customizable Sushi Burrito in the Phoenix valley!

Google
I went there about 1.5 hours after opening, yet the salmon was discolored and smelled like old dirty laundry. The store just opened so I don't know how they store their food.. Make sure you check the proteins for spoil before you get them

Google
I think the concept could be good but the place is pretty dumpy and dirty. The place really needs a good cleaning. A little too creepy for me for sushi. I ended up pitching my sushi burrito.

Google
Got my Poké delivered today! Normally I dine in but stuck working today so we make due. Everything was fresh and delicious. Love the Spice Sea Sushi Burrito! <3

Miriam T.

Yelp
Amazing. This place has the best poke bowls and the sushi burrito is so fun! Ordered online and it was ready quick and exactly how we ordered it. Very pleased with the service. We picked up, so I didn't experience the restaurant. But it looked nice!

Yelp
We decided to give this place another try. I mean, the poke is decent (not at all authentic, but decent, particularly for the desert). But when we stepped inside it was post-apocalyptic. Soda machine out of order, drink area completely empty, staff nowhere in sight. When they heard the door, they came outside, and made our bowls, but it seems as though they were out of a lot of things. When you run a restaurant, you have two perishable products: service and stock. If you fail at those, what are you there to offer? How can you run a restaurant and be out of stock of so many things?

Yelp
This is my favorite poke place in the area AND my favorite location out of the Pokitrition chain. While the other locations have you order on an iPad, this location has the traditional set up with servers putting together the bowl in front of you. It's always nice to say "hey, sorry, can I please have just a little more?" When they're moving quick and accidentally only gave you a quarter scoop, for example. Great service, never had issues here. They do have a nice sit down area, but I usually bring it home. They have great toppings, generous on the crab salad, masago and mango without charging extra. I know the picture doesn't show it but underneath those toppings is reliably and consistently fresh fish. I get their salmon every time. Sauce choices include ginger miso, ponzu and other ones. Top it off with lots of furikake, fried onions and the like and you're good to go. Love this place!

Yelp
Fresh, delicious sushi burritos. Cheery staff. Cute Space. Tried the Build your own with two proteins ($13.50) and Chicken Karaage Burrito ($14.50). Only nit: take the bulgogi burrito off the menu because I wanted that and it wasn't offered anymore lol.

Yelp
Came in during lunchtime and stood at the counter for several minutes and no one came to help. The employees were in the back having a conversation with themselves and apparently were too busy to be standing in the front helping potential customers. Left without even putting in an order. But after reading the recent reviews, maybe I'm lucky

Yelp
5/5 - sushi burrito 5/5 service 5/5 ambiance Hubby got the shrimp tempura roll and I got the spic-sea burrito and both were really good
google avatar

Jeni K.

Yelp
Got a burrito, first half was soggy and everything fell out. I told the girl that it might need to be wrapped tighter. She ignored me. I ended up asking for a fork. I told the guy it should have been wrapped tighter. He said, "well when the liquidy sauce is used, it causes the wrap to get loose so you have to use the aioli and it holds it better but it's not a big deal." I replied, "well if I have to use a fork for a burrito, it is a big deal." He responded, "next time." What in the world? And why not tell me that when I asked which sauce I should go with because of the holding capabilities? I put the fork down and grabbed the other half. Guess what? I had to grab the fork and eat the inside by itself. The rice was hard and crunchy. It was like they prepped the nori with rice in advance. I couldn't eat the rest. Will not be going back here.

Yelp
Usually love this place, but shrinkflation has taken effect. Ordered a bowl to go and it has maybe 10 pieces of tuna and barely came up to the midway of the bowl. I'll see if in person build your own is better, but might be my last trip.

Yelp
Great service! Lovely people behind the counter and the place was very clean and tidy. They offered us suggestions and asked about allergies. I was super impressed. The food was delicious! The price is about average for the cost of poke bowls these days - mine was $14. I would come back for sure when I am back in that area.

Christopher B.

Yelp
I really enjoy a good poke, and Pokitrition definitely delivers on flavor, but there are some areas where they could improve. I've visited several times and have noticed some inconsistencies. One major issue is cleanliness. The entry door often has handprints and dirt around the metal, and although there's a kick bar for convenience, it doesn't excuse the lack of attention to this detail. The glass at the counter frequently has smudges, suggesting that tidying up isn't a priority. Service is another area that needs work. The staff behind the counter often seem a bit disoriented, and the food handling can be sloppy. Additionally, they're frequently out of items, which is frustrating when you're craving a specific ingredient. I believe these issues could be resolved with better management and attention to detail. I really like the food here, but I've started going to a different poke restaurant because of these concerns. A cleaner environment and more attentive service would make a big difference and help me trust that my food is being handled with care. I take my sushi seriously and these slight improvements would show that they do too.

Amber H.

Yelp
Went there yesterday and got food poisoning. My friend who went with me also got sick from it. There was only one employee and he didn't look like he wanted to be there, very sloppy and the dining area was a mess.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I was excited to try this poke shop by my job today and I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. I ordered a bowl with tuna and shrimp the tuna is absolutely disgusting. It's definitely not fresh or stored correctly. The tuna was warm, brown, and tasted rotten. I didn't try the salmon or the tofu but they looked questionable. I called the store twice and left a message but nobody has gotten back to me to make this right. If you want fresh tuna, I would recommend NOT trying this place.
google avatar

Becca H.

Yelp
Excellent poke bowl! I feel like poke can be a hit or miss when trying new places but I enjoyed this experience and the atmosphere. I loved the miso ginger sauce. And the crispy wonton strips were new to me for a poke bowl and I LOVED them.
google avatar

Den O.

Yelp
The food is always pretty fresh and delicious. The service is a hit or miss and sometimes very slow. A few years ago I would have given 5 stars but recently, the serving sizes have decreased. I get there are standard 2oz servings but sometimes they go very light almost feels like half a scoop. Additionally, prices have significantly increased. A large bowl with no drink costed me almost $20 with standard tip. Overall, I would recommend this business hire more excited employees and provide good portion sizes and maybe I can get past the ridiculous prices.

Andre M.

Yelp
Feel like this place has been going down hill over the past couple months. It used to be really yummy but I went in this time and the rice was bland and mooshy with a consistency closer to porridge. The salmon was bland, had dark spots and I even got some bone in there. Had 4 bits and honestly couldn't finish it. Very disappointed but the service was good

Yelp
Gotta catch em all at Poketrition. Tables, counters, and floors were all clean. Utensils and bar were organized. Decor was clean and bright and restaurant temperature was nice. Many people picking up orders. Parking lot is kinda chaotic, but there is usually parking near the entrance. Staff was mostly friendly; they were attentive and urgent. All had good hygiene and staff uniforms were tidy. We did build your own bowl and presentation was gorgeous. All ingredients were fresh, tasty, at a good temperature, and had wonderful texture. A great price for all you get. Next time I'm gonna try shrimp meat and maybe the scallops, as well as varying sauces. Tip: try the strawberry lemonade, but give it a good stir first. Thank you Poketrition, can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
I wish I could rate their food but I never got that far in my visit. My 3 children and a single momma. Kids #3 needed to use the restroom and the employee working at the time refused. Told me the closest restroom was at target. So we left. I tried calling to speak to a manager but left a message on the answering machine. I never got a call back. I also left a message via IG DM and never got a response. If this is how they treat communication i have zero desire to spend my money there.

Yelp
My husband and I have tried Pokitrition in PHX twice already. The first time my husband ordered at the restaurant and brought the bowls home. Today, I ordered online and my husband picked up. I ordered directly in their website which is always convenient so you can see and add all the toppings easily. We usually order white rice with shrimps and toppings. Their Asian slaw is delicious. It is made with sesame oil so the flavor is very good. There is additional charge for the slaw. They are generous with their portions, and add quite a bit of shrimp. Their crab salad is good; the spicy one is pretty hot though. We also like to add mango to our bowls. Their mango pieces are pretty small, they seem to have come out of a can. Our favorite sauce is the sriracha aioli. Today I felt like we needed more sauce, the bowl was kind of dry. They add a small scoop of avocado; it is also an extra $1. Quite expensive for the amount of avocado we are getting to be honest. Overall a good poke restaurant. Prices are ok for the size of the bowl.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious first trying a sushi burrito and wow delish I got there around lunch time so there was a line, either way they welcome you in when you enter the door.

Yelp
I'm so sad to even write this because this used to be my favorite place for poke in Arizona and I would recommend it to everyone. The last couple of times that I have ordered the quality has truly gone down hill. First we come in last night and they are starting to close an hour and 20 mins before actual closing time. I try to order a 1/2 of poke but apparently you can no longer do that because they lost the scale? But still on the menu. The actual quality of the tuna is horrible and not marinated like it used to be. I rather go to Safeway and get poke now. Then my fiance ordered a shrimp burrito and they didn't even warm the shrimp up at all before putting it into the burrito. It all just tasted horrible and we spent $35 on our meal. The place also does not look nearly as clean as it used to be. Messed everywhere, the whole vibe in there is off. I really hope that the quality of food could be examined. I would love to start enjoying this place again but I believe for now we will have to find another poke spot.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting to find a good poke place in Phoenix, but this place made the cut :-) Pokitrition is a create your own meal/order at the counter type restaurant (rather than a sit down and order type). I got a half white rice half salad poke bowl but spicy tuna and spicy marinated ahi tuna, along with a whole bunch of sides and toppings. They do not slack on the portions!!! My bowl was filled to the brim, it was amazing. The fish and all the other ingredients tasted fresh, and the sriracha aioli sauce (tasted like spicy mayo) was delicious!! They have plenty of indoor seating, as well as two outdoor tables. Definitely recommend this place if you're craving poke in Phoenix!
google avatar

Franco K.

Yelp
Their poke and sushi burritos are one of the best. Fish and ingredients are always fresh and the staff is always very nice. Even if your burrito does overfilled, they don't sweep out and toss the extra. They keep it in the wraps and I very much appreciate that. Definitely my favorite place by far.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
We picked this spot for lunch after our flight landed in Phoenix. So fresh and delicious! We are Poke fanatics and this place exceeded our standards. I did a build your own bowl on salad, my husband had a sushi burrito, both were DELICIOUS!!! Also, they fly their Ahi in from Hawaii... .
google avatar

Wells L.

Yelp
TL:DR - Super solid, consistent, above average poke spot. Reasonable prices, great pre-made options, and ingredients that are never bad. Staff is also super friendly. Nothing really makes this place stand out though, and that's ok. Consistency and the great quality of ingredients makes this a go-to spot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This place is an all around solid, consistent, above average poke spot. They have PLENTY of toppings, including toppings that I always look for (i.e., mango, crunchy pieces like fried onions or wonton strips, crab salad and seaweed salad). Nothing we've ever gotten here has been spoiled or stale or past it's best by date. Prices are extremely reasonable for Poke (i.e., about $12 per bowl) and the staff has always been friendly and on top of things. On top of that, their pre-made bowls/burritos are actually quite good, to the point where I have not needed to make my own. That being said, nothing makes this place super unique or any better than other really good poke places, and that's ok. We love coming here for the quality and consistency of good. Out of the bowls and burritos we've tried, we really like the Spice-Sea Burrito and the Fire Chicken Sushi Burrito was just ok (i.e., chicken was small and breading was a bit dry, overall just meh). But are really wanting to go try the crispy spam n eggs breakfast burrito at some point!
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
2.5 years as a customer and still the best poki in town!!! They place a priority on high quality ingredients and taste and they are miles ahead of their competitors like Ahi Poki in Phoenix. My go-to is to make my own Hwe Dup Bap here (Korean Sushi Bowl) - Marinated Tuna - Extra Red Onion and Jalapeño - Chojang (Korean red pepper sauce) - Spicy surimi and seaweed salad - Mango, green onion, masago - Wonton and crispy onion Then I go home and add sesame oil, sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. DELICIOUS
google avatar

Leigh C.

Yelp
Best poke bowl you're going to find in Arizona! I've been to all the poke spots in the greater phoenix area & this one has the best IMO. Good quality, pretty quick service & lots of choices of toppings & sauce.
google avatar

Kekai W.

Yelp
In arizona, this is my favorite poke place because of the sides. They moved to a new location from Scottsdale mall, good for them for opening up their own place with seatings. Their portion sizing isn't my favorite because for a small girl I get the large bowl. There isn't enough rice but the taste of the fish and sides are what keep bringing me back here. For a delicious poke bowl to remind me back home of Hawaii, I enjoy this place and will be eating here again and again.
google avatar

Dory E.

Yelp
I knew better than to eat raw fish from someplace that way a clean as an 80's gas station. I'm paying the price now. Do not eat here. It's not clean and not safe. It's a shame because it actually tasted pretty good.

Yelp
Sushi Tacos Are out of this world ! The taco shell is made out of Tempura seaweed & this one is filled with rice and crab meat with soft shell crab & spicy mayo drizzled on top . Talk about CREATIVE ! Ever since I tasted this beauty at the Az Asian Festival I can not stop thinking about it ! Not a big fan of the actual shell but let me tell you it was still BOMB . They have two other different tacos one with shrimp tempura and one with egg & spam ! . but they only sale these when they are at festivals so make sure you follow them to check out where they will be. Fingers crossed that one day it will be at their actual locations

Anonymous A.

Yelp
If I could give this place a zero, I would. Service was terrible and based on past reviews, it has not changed that the server girl was visibly annoyed at my questions, mumbled and made me feel like an inconvenience. Guy was oblivious to everything going on. Food was not properly mixed with flavours-- every poke place I've been to knows how to properly mix vegetables and fish in sauces. Here they barely put any sauces... Disappointed at the sauces selection...Who doesn't have sesame dressing at a poke place? Also the rice was extremely dry and wasn't even sushi rice. Eel sauce was not real eel sauce. I ate the driest poke bowl of my life. Will not be coming back again.

Fiorela V.

Yelp
I recently visited Pokitrition and while the food was delicious, I'm disappointed to share that this was the third consecutive visit marred by poor experiences. On this occasion, I was dismayed to find the restaurant being prepared for closure an hour ahead of schedule. As a result, there were no available seats inside, leaving us with no choice but to eat outside in the scorching Arizona heat after the chairs were stacked away. The staff's behavior further compounded our dissatisfaction. The young woman attending to us seemed indifferent and exhibited noticeable annoyance at our presence. She spoke unclearly and avoided making eye contact, even responding rudely when we requested her to repeat herself. Unfortunately, her attitude wasn't isolated to our party; she and another male employee displayed the same impatience and rudeness towards a group of eight people who arrived after us. Adding to the ordeal, a fellow patron entered after us and reported that she had been informed of the restaurant's closure, only to return once she saw us receiving our food. This kind of inconsistency in communication only serves to exacerbate the negative experience. It's disheartening to report that this marks the third time that the staff's behavior has overshadowed the otherwise enjoyable food at Pokitrition. I sincerely hope that the management takes these recurring issues seriously and implements measures to ensure that every visit lives up to the quality of their cuisine.

Yelp
Jennifer was so awesome and cute! It was our first time coming here and she was so helpful and smiley! Thank you for making our experience great we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great example of a business listening to their customers and making improvements ! Wow! It's a totally different place than my last review! Excellent customer service, asked me questions and clarified!!!! Everything was in stock that I wanted. Very clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Lived near this place for years never knew it existed. Finally decided to go in a few months ago and give it a shot. I'm very happy that I did. This place has become an addiction of mine. The service is superb and the sushi burrito is phenomenal 10/10 would be my death row meal. I rarely give 5 stars but you guys earned it. Hats off to this place.
google avatar

Kylie L.

Yelp
Took my dad here for a quick dinner. 10/10 on flavor! Rawkin shrimp sushi burrito was soooo tasty! It's just a giant sushi roll! We love to see it! And the Jasmine green tea was sweetened perfectly! Clean environment and lots of friendly staff members.
google avatar

Mo G.

Yelp
Without a doubt the least amount of fish I have ever had in a Pole bowl. I got two scoops which amounted to 3 tiny pieces of each fish. I understand you can add more scoops but two is plenty everywhere else I have gone. Pretty bummed. I basically got a really expensive rice bowl sprinkled with some fish.
google avatar

Ramona K.

Yelp
I arrived at 7 pm on a Thursday night and they were out of Salmon? A sushi staple and they were out? I know there are automated inventory systems to predict close to daily sales. Then, they were out of their Jasmine tea. I hope they will bring back Sriracha as well.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Cute little place with variety of poke items, poke burritos, poke salads, etc. Pretty good selection of toppings and sauces. We got two poke salad bowls and my daughter got a Cheeto wrapped poke burrito which she loved. I tasted it and it was okay. All in all though, this is our poke spot which we will be coming back soon.

Kryselle M.

Yelp
Service was terrible the boys just looked at me blankly and were so quiet they had no customer service whatsoever. The bowls were not even full they barely added any rice or protein and for 17 dollars I expect more!!! It honestly was a rip off. It was my first time trying this poke place because I read from the reviews the fish was great but for the price, the service, and how much they put in it I will never go back here again.
google avatar

Daniel N.

Yelp
Portions are still reasonable, it does seem like prices are creeping up ($13 for a large bowl). I still come once in a while - if I'm in the mood for more rice and larger chunks of fish I will go to ahipoki - - but for some reason the flavors, sauces, and toppings here are more craveworthy. Also, the fish is exceptionally fresh - but it kind of has to be. I think if they either skimped a bit less on rice, or were a bit more generous with their fish scoops - it would be a no-brainer A+

Yelp
I went to their first location in Chandler. I hated how far it was to get my poke fix. I also have a lot of friends who work there, so whenever they get a chance to go I go with them. I'm glad they are getting well known and expanding more. This new location is great and clean. When you walk in everything is so neat and organized. White tables and white shelves. They even have a cute neon sign so people can take their Snapchat or Instagram pics. This place is located on Camelback and 16th St. it's closer for me, who is someone who lives in the west valley but still pretty far. But this place is definitely closer than Chandler. We ordered the sushi burrito. I like how they have the option to custom make your own poke! I got the marinated tuna and salmon as my protein, then I added Sesame Shoyu sauce, Seaweed Salad, Surimi Crab, Cucumber, Mango. Their burritos start at $12.95. Man that's pretty pricey but that's how it is for seafood so I can't complain. Crystal was the girl who took my boyfriend's and I order. She was super nice and friendly. Asked if I wanted or didn't want some stuff in my poke. I was able to get a free drink because of my award points. I told her I like sweet tea so she recommended me the Honey green tea. She also put more honey for me if I wanted it more sweet. Great customer service! Someone give her a raise! Jk I'm her friend so I'm kinda biased but she's a great worker. I think this company will definitely rise in the future and maybe can I suggest another location in Peoria or Glendale or even Surprise area? We west valley people need this kind of great food over here too! I would definitely recommend my friends to come here.
google avatar

Aude O.

Yelp
Came in for the soft opening. Got a free burritos with my selfie. Location is clean and modern. Staff was generous and more than knowledgeable. You can pick from a bowl or salad or a Burritos which is what they are known for. I'm not gonna post all the options (my pics will do). The poke burrito was delicious. Not nearly as messy as I thought. I'm a big fan. I'll try and be back whenever I'm on this side of town!! Grand Opening starts at noon on Sunday June 24th. They have BOGO until they run out.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
I have been coming here a long time but yesterday I ordered on line and somehow they only made one bowl so I had to wait. The portions were way smaller than ever and I ordered three scoops, the associate apologized and added another scoop but the other scoops were so small it amounted to about two regular scoops. Not the usual quality. I ordered half lettuce any half brown rice and there was only about 3 pieces of lettuce. I hope it was a one time thing because it is one of my top 3 go tos.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Best Sushi burrito I've ever had! very clean on the inside and friendly staff! easy parking, fresh ingredients, incredibly reasonable price!!
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
I was VERY hesitant of a sushi burrito. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE sushi, but the idea of biting into a huge fishy burrito didn't sound appealing. Boy was I WRONG. Not only was it delicious, it was better than I imagined. It was fresh. It was good. It was tasty. I got the spice sea burrito (I regret not rolling it in hot Cheetos... probably going to do that next) with a jasmine tea. YUM. I can only imagine their bowls are just as good. I can now say I am a firm believe in the sushi burrito.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Incredible if you have not ever tried it! My favorite is the Spice Sea Burrito and my Lover likes the Shrimpin'. Go get you some!
google avatar

Angela T.

Yelp
I've been to this location twice now and both times it did not disappoint. We love the prices, the concept, and the freshness of the fish. I just wish it was closer to my side of town, but it's definitely worth the trip, not to mention safer for my wallet. It's located in a strip mall and next to Subway and a nail salon. It's decorated nicely with a modern aesthetic. The workers there are all very friendly and welcoming. We shared a large Sushi Burrito an were able to three proteins (we picked the build your own option). There are so many options here too that anything you pick would be a good combination. They have poke bowl, salad, or half and half as a base. It works just like Chipotle, but with poke! The prices are great, service was wonderful, food was exceptional, and I would wholeheartedly come back again and again. If you haven't tried this joint, please make sure you do! It's the best poke joint in Arizona!
google avatar

Nikki S.

Yelp
Okay so don't judge me .... But I got two items since I was so hungry... A build your own bowl and a sushi burrito!!! So I was pretty impressed by the cleanliness of this restaurant! I loved that I could walk in and order my food at the counter and go own my way . The design was so cute too! The quality of the food was great! I recommend the spice sea burrito the shrimp tempura looked Soo good but I'm allergic to shrimp!

Yelp
I don't know how long this place has been open, but I don't think it will last. I'm not hoping any ill will towards it, but it's nothing special. I've been to a handful of poke places and this one is ok. First of all, explaining themselves as a Chipotle is interesting. I guess that's somewhat accurate, but I found it curious that just because this was my first time here, the employee assumed I don't know poke places. After asking if I wanted white rice, brown rice or salad, she asked if I wanted furikake on my rice. Interesting choice to ask if I wanted a dry topping underneath my marinated fish and sauce. Guess they don't know what furikake is...and no, I don't want mine soggy. The employees here are clearly young and not professional. Unless I missed something and it's now good to drop F bombs and ask a customer about your phone bill (other customer worked at the nearby Verizon). Not offended, but I still think it's not professional. The one good thing here was that the flavors were good and quality of ingredients seems to be fresh. My advice though? Go to another poke place or another fast casual restaurant.
