Staff really knows their pet nutrition and helped me switch my dog’s food seamlessly with no judgment, just helpful advice. Premium brands, adorable toys, and unique collars you won’t find at big box stores. Yes it’s pricey (Newbury Street location) but quality products and they’ll special order anything you need. Loyalty program helps offset costs. My dog loves visiting and the staff always gives him attention.

Cute and clean but the five stars is for the team! Colin (I hope that’s how his name is spelled) Is the G.O.A.T. Yes, they have very limited cat supplies (as any other pet store) but all I had to do was ask about a certain food/ product and they’ll have it the week after. I asked Colin about an interactive toy for my cat and he listened to what I was looking for and delivered just that. Nala LOVES IT. I am grateful and will be forever loyal to this cute pet store thanks to its stellar customer service.

We were in such a bind. Got a last minute flight but didn’t have a carrier for our dog. We couldn’t find one ANYWHERE!! we Called Polkadog and Colin took total care of us. Held the bag for us and now we can stop stressing and enjoy the remainder of our trip. Thank you!!!

Seriously miss the Fish and Bone. I'm sure dog owners have a lot to praise about the new setup. Cat owners? Not so much. I miss having a place close by to pick up a few cat supplies-these days there's a desk sized portion of a wall for cat supplies.

So glad I came across this store! As a first time cat owner, there is a lot I didn't know about food, litter, toys, etc. The staff here has been beyond helpful in answering all my questions/concerns and giving me their honest thoughts about what might be best for my cat. They greet all customers into the store so warmly and make you feel very welcome. Will always be coming back here for all my pet related needs!

Cute pet shop with a large variety of items. Very nice staff. Gave my dog a sample of a dog treat she loved so much that we had to come back for more.

I asked for recommendations for an aggressive chewer…an 11 month old English lab who gets through even beef cheek chews in under 20 minutes. I was suggested to get a large wood chew, Ware’s “Gorilla Chew”….i got home 30 minutes ago and my boy hasn’t put it down, nor managed to get more than a couple scratches into it. I had been looking at antler chews, and was informed on reasons why they’re not an ideal chew for a heavy chewer. I’m so grateful for the really helpful staff who clearly care more for the health and safety of animals than they do for making a big sale. 10 of 5 stars! Thanks so much!!

One of the best pets stores I’ve ever been too. Lots of specialized and top of the line toys, food and treats. I was traveling for work and couldn’t buy anything bulky or large but did find a few items I love. Found two Boston Red Sox dog bandanna and bow tie. Colin was the saleperson who helped me and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to what I was looking for. He helped me find a great toy for my cats that was the perfect size and item for their activity level. My cats love their new toy and catnip! When I am back in Boston with work again, I will stop by and visit The Fish and Bone again! Thanks again Colin!
