Polkerris Bed and Breakfast

Honestly the best place to stay in Montego Bay! The hospitality is fantastic, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the location is great with the main sites and beach only a short walk away with a private and well-lit secured path which is great. The highlight for me is the breakfast! My partner and I got up early each morning to enjoy some delicious Jamaican coffee, before enjoying a delicious Jamaican breakfast with an impeccable view of Montego Bay. We were sad to leave, I already miss the view and breakfast! Hosts also very helpful in arranging taxis to see attractions. We did a tour of Rose Hall great house which I recommend. Can’t wait to come back!

It's hard to add to all the wonderful reviews for this amazing retreat. So perhaps I should just say that you will not be disappointed if you stay here. The location is great, close to everything... but above the convenience is the perfect view of the bay! My wife and I were there for 3 days and never tired of the gorgeous views and sunsets. So tranquil, so soothing. Crystal clear pool with all the amenities you will ever need. It is hard to top the property - but if you get the chance to meet the staff and family, well let's just say that they are even more amazing than the property!

A true gem! Comfortable, relaxed and well appointed. We felt so cared for with every detail thought of. Breakfast was exceptional with many options to choose from. Our room was spacious and very clean. All the common areas (pool, veranda, reading/lounge room, game room) were fantastic. Polkerris offers spaces to enjoy and absorb the raw beauty, sounds and heart of Jamaica while in a laid-back atmosphere. The staff were truly delightful and were very attentive. Simple luxury and authentic hospitality is what we experienced.

A quiet B&B in the heart of Montego Bay within walking distance to many of the area’s destinations. This three generation family-owned bed and breakfast was the perfect place to stay. The view from the second floor balcony (where you enjoy breakfast) was more beautiful and peaceful than the pictures had me expecting. The home cooked meals were some of my favorites during my stay in Jamaica and the staff (Charlotte, Crystal, Terry, and Laura) were so accommodating and friendly. Thank you for all your hospitality!

We stayed in the honeymoon suite with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We had an amazing experience during our stay. The hospitality was phenomenal! Breakfast was delicious! We were served fresh fruits and varieties of tasty meals (like ackee salt fish, and many more!). Shoutout to Laura who was very accommodating to our requests. Everyone is amazing and we are definitely coming back the next time we visit Montego Bay. The Polkerris B&B is a hidden gem in Montego Bay. The hospitality is unparalleled thanks to Laura, Crystal, Charlotte and Terry. Each one made our stay unforgettable, cozy and comfortable. From homemade breakfast every morning to lemonade in the afternoon, they truly went above and beyond. If you’re staying in Montego Bay, look no further! The Polkerris is it!

If you are interested in an alternative to the cookie cutter resort experience I would highly recommend Polkerris. The staff was excellent. Our room and view was great. We loved the pool. Our daily breakfast was very hearty and true Jamaican cuisine provided by the facility owned Pelican restaurant. Every morning breakfast was served on the second floor atrium with a beauty view of the ocean. The drivers arranged by the facility were top notch and we felt very much taken care of. This is a family owned facility and the owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to ensure that everything met our expectations.||I believe there are less than 10 rooms in the entire facility so you will not have to deal with large crowds and it is very unlikely you'll have any noise issues. We bonded very well with the other guests staying at Polkerris and had very pleasant conversations with them during our daily breakfast. We even enjoyed a day trip together to see some of the popular tourist sites in Jamaica (i.e riding horses at the beach, jumping in the water at the Blue Hole, visiting the Luminous Lagoon, etc.). The trip was led by our driver/tour guide Michael who the hotel put us in touch with.||The only thing missing is that I wish Polkerris had a small exercise room on site, but they have a game room which was enjoyable (pool table, ping pong, air hockey, video games, etc). Otherwise, this is a great bed and breakfast and I highly recommend it!

This place is one of the best experiences I have ever had at any BnB or hotel. The care and service they give is top notch, you feel like family as a guest. This was my first time to Jamaica and I would have no problem coming back alone. As a female you think about safety first and let me tell you this place is like Fort Knox, I never thought about locking the 2nd lock on my door and this is a first for me and I’m 50 years young. Laura, Peter and Elaine are now family to me and we love Terri also. I haven’t had someone in my room to clean, if I’m not there for the last 25years. But I had no problem letting them be in my room for any reason even with my passport out and money I never felt anxious or cautious. The breakfast was cooked to order hot and fresh, I don’t eat many carbs but those dumplings are to die for, we ate them everyday. This place is clean to perfection and they are walking distance to everything, restaurants, Doctors cave beach, nightclubs and shopping. You won’t regret staying here. We spent 4 days here and then went to Negril to stay in a luxury penthouse at a resort and we wanted to come back to the Polkerris. Lastly the air conditioner in the room is everything you go from an oven to a refrigerator, it was hard to leave the room sometimes.
