Polkerris Bed and Breakfast

A wonderful stay at Polkerris Bed & Breakfast. Perfectly located, very quiet, with a beautiful sea view. Each morning, we enjoyed a different and delicious breakfast, always a real treat. Laura is an exceptional host — welcoming, kind, and genuinely caring. An excellent stay from start to finish. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing time at the Polkerris the first week of May. We have been to Jamaica many times and usually stay at all-inclusive resorts but this time we had a 4 day trip to Ochi at one for a wedding, so decided to tack on another 4 days here, and I’m so glad we did! We loved the property and location, especially all the beautiful flowers, immaculately maintained grounds and fruit bearing trees. The view was every bit as amazing as all the reviews say, and pictures can’t even do it justice, you just have to experience it firsthand. The breakfast was indeed a big highlight, including the best ackee and saltfish we’ve had in Jamaica, served with a smile by the lovely Miss Crystal, who we adored. We loved our daily walks down the secret stairway to the hip strip, and felt completely safe wandering around down there. There is place called the Pork Pit that’s a 5 minute walk, do yourself a favor and go get some jerk pork there, it’s unforgettable! Get some festival and rice and peas too. Also loved Doctors Cave Beach, it’s worth the money you’ll need to spend for admission, lingers and umbrella to enjoy your visit. We can’t wait to go back! Thanks Laura and crew for a great stay!

Great location to everything in Montego Bay. Very clean. Two properties: lots of lush vegetation, a pond with fish in it, mango trees, starfruit trees the work. It does not have a resort vibe at all. They’re only seven rooms on the property so it’s relatively quiet. We did hear a good amount of outside noise, but it might have been our location on the property. We were right next to the pool. The place has a lot of amenities to include a game room a beautiful pool and a fantastic view of Montego Bay. Laura one of the owners was nice. The welcome drink was so good. The breakfast was amazing. And I mean amazing… we had fish steak, brown stew chicken, Ackee and salt fish with amazing sides like Calalou and fried dumplings. The owner said that they take a lot of time to perfect and have a lot of pride in their breakfast and it shows… it is fantastic. We will be back.

I cannot get enough of this place! Staying here was an absolute treat. The property is gorgeous and covered with beautiful flowers. The staff are all FABULOUS and kind, and are attentive to anything you may need. I can honestly say that I had some of the best breakfast I've ever had while staying here. The fruit is fantastic, and they offer a variety of options (the authentic Jamaican breakfasts are the way to go!). I can't wait to come back!

My recent stay at the polkerris BED and BREAKFAST was fantastic! The room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I love me some Crystal. She brightened my day each time I saw her. Her sprit so humbling The location was perfect for exploring the city, and the breakfast served each morning was delicious. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Montego Bay. Last but certainly not least. Laurie and Peter were simply incredible people. We called Laurie almost everyday and not once did she provide bad services. Always was very pleasant and willing to help.

10/10 immaculate B&B. I was greeted by Laura with a welcoming home lemon chilled juice. Shown to the spacious clean room with security safe to use. Spacious shower with plenty towels and toiletries to use. Outside your door is an open space to sit and relax to watch the sunset with sea view and tiny boats to admire. |It has a 24 hour pool you can use, with deck chairs , plus a games room, containing, pool table, table tennis, air discs play, small curling ( that's the only way I can describe it) plus a play station. An area to sit down, and chill and read. |The staff were so cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of x4 traditional Jamaican dishes to choose from. |Can walk to the nearest beach Doctor Cave, approx 15 min away (slope to walk but take your time) on left of Jimmy Cliff Boulevard main road. It has a small entrance fee and chargeable deck chairs. Lots to eat while their and reasonably priced. |Plenty of shops ( of a similar kind) to choose from. |I love Polkerris. I would highly recommend this lovely B&B to family friends ect. Hope to return soon .

We would give Polkerris a 10 star if we could. One of the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Super clean, updated, fresh flowers, and very quiet. Location is very easy to anything you want to do near the beach and the hip strip. Great local restaurants nearby too. The pool overlooking the ocean is serene. If we ever come back to Montego Bay, we will stay here for sure. Peter and Laura are incredible hosts, the breakfast are served perfectly warm and all local ingredients. They even ask about food allergies. First class service and location.

Honestly the best place to stay in Montego Bay! The hospitality is fantastic, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the location is great with the main sites and beach only a short walk away with a private and well-lit secured path which is great. The highlight for me is the breakfast! My partner and I got up early each morning to enjoy some delicious Jamaican coffee, before enjoying a delicious Jamaican breakfast with an impeccable view of Montego Bay. We were sad to leave, I already miss the view and breakfast! Hosts also very helpful in arranging taxis to see attractions. We did a tour of Rose Hall great house which I recommend. Can’t wait to come back!
